“Lauren went above and beyond with Dante. She sent me so many photos for her drop in visit and I could tell how much she cared for him and how much love she was giving. She also was able to come within one hour of me asking! So she’s a lifesaver and wonderful with dogs. Will definitely be booking again and again”
“Gera did a wonderful job taking care of our cat Jones. I trusted her completely, so my mind was at ease the entire time away from home. She sent lots of pictures and notes every time she visited. She did extra help by watering my flowers, feeding the birds and putting out our garbage. She even bought my cat a new toy which was so nice. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Angela is a great pet sitter and was wonderful with my two cats. She was communicative and made sure to leave detailed notes about how the cats were doing. Really appreciate her and would strongly recommend!”

“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

“Ellen is a great communicator throughout her time looking after our kitty. We were pleased to come back to a safe and happy cat. A spotless litter box was a bonus! Would hire Ellen again!”

“Raven took it slow with Molly on her first visit, gave Molly time to smell things out and wander around the house with her there. Within a short period of time, Molly was all kisses and cuddles with Raven, even got her out for a walk on the first visit. Raven is so patient and calm with hesitant/nervous dogs. She's a bit of a dog whisperer. Molly loves you Raven, looking forward to the next visit 😍”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats in some capacity for the last 20+ years, but much more consistently for the last 18. Friends, family, and community members have relied on me to care for their furbabies in a multitude of ways. I have experience with pets of all ages, including puppies and senior dogs with high medical needs, as well as dogs of all sizes and a diverse array of breeds. I have experience working with chill and friendly dogs as well reactive dogs! I love stopping in during the day for walks, potty breaks, or playtimes in addition to overnight stays with feeding and all other responsibilities included. I am familiar with many basic training techniques and love working with pet owners on what routines/training they have in place for their pets so I can try to keep as much consistency for them as possible. Rest assured your pets will be in good hands. I currently work from home so am home most days with a flexible schedule. This gives me flexibility to do walks, feedings, and other things on a more flexible schedule to stick with any routines they might be on. My partner is also a pet lover and has a flexible work schedule so almost always one of us is home to keep your pets company. I have a fenced yard with room to romp and play. We also live close to several parks, including a large off leash dog park if your dog is able to go off leash. We have one indoor/outdoor cat that loves dogs and would be happy to smoosh up against your dog. If your dog isn't into cats, we can keep them separate. We used to have a reactive dog and managed this for several years. If we do need to leave your pet unattended in our home, we can crate them or leave them out. Our home allows several options.

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

“Madi was so kind and loving to our older doggo! We are so thankful she was attentive and flexible while we were away. I would recommend Madi 1,000,000 times over!”

“Margaret did a spectacular job with my two cats. It was the first time leaving them since they were adopted and I was worried how they might react. But when I got home they were so relaxed they hardly noticed me. Barely opened their eyes. The photos she sent let me see how they progressed over four days. Looks like Margaret and one of the cats really bonded. Great picture of him sitting on her shoulder purring. Felt they were well taken care of the whole time.”

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
“Raphael is amazing and our sweet boy, Brophy is so well taken care of while we are out of town. I appreciate the communication from Raphael. We’ve booked with him multiple times and will again!”

“Karly was absolutely wonderful!! My love and I were a bit nervous leaving our cat with someone new for the first time but Karly made sure that our girl was loved and cared for during our long week trip. We highly recommended Karly for all pet care needs. We are so relieved to have found a great neighbor that will help take care of our girl while we are away. Plus, she has a new best friend! Thank you for being the best, Karly!!”

“Charles is amazing!! All three of my cats are shy, but he worked wonders with sweetness, patience, and respect for their ways…and thank heavens provided me with plentiful photos and thorough updates! I cannot recommend his services enough! 10 STARS”

“Jessica is amazing! She's been so patient with my 1yo stranger danger issues and so kind to my old boy who needs a little extra help here and there. She's also been very communicative on any questions or concerns, and has not once come across as annoyed at my near daily texts while I'm adjusting to have someone care for my pets. I hope to keep her around for a while.”

“Simon was responsive and followed all instructions. My little dude was happy to see her during each visit and she left great summaries of each visit. Would book again.”

“Shannon is wonderful with our senior dog Trix - compassionate, patient, responsible! I'm SO thrilled and grateful to have found Shannon through Rover. Trix loves Shannon, and it has been such a relief to have help with visits during the work day as our aging dog needs a little more support.”

John took care of everything we discussed perfectly. He was friendly and we're convinced our kitties were happier upon our return from our trip than other times. We appreciate his willingness to give the cats the love and care they needed while we were gone.

She did extra help by watering my flowers, feeding the birds and putting out our garbage. She even bought my cat a new toy which was so nice. I would definitely hire her again.

Joss is so wonderful with cats. I am one of those cat ladies who wishes she could call the cats up while I'm gone to see how they're doing, and it was even better to get Joss' daily updates. She not only kept them fed and on the right side of the door, but showed up at consistent times, kept them entertained, and gave them plenty of attention. They looked so happy in all their photos and I was so happy to know they were well cared-for! Thank you so, so much.

Taylor dropped in on my 13 year old terrier-chihuahua mix twice a day for 2 days (4 visits). He absolutely loved her immediately and she really seemed to understand his personality right off the bat. I liked having pics and reports of how he was doing because it had been a couple of years since I’ve had to be away from him for an extended period. I highly recommend Taylor for dog or cat care and will definitely request her again.

Melanie is amazing! She is wonderful with my dogs and always provides great communication and updates. She has watched my dogs multiple times, and every experience has been excellent. Melanie is incredibly sweet, kind, and reliable, and I completely trust her with my pets. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I will definitely continue booking with her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Tara did a wonderful job taking care of our kitty. She paid attention to his personality and even created a visit routine based on his likes. She always left detailed notes and pictures and made us feel so comfortable with his care while we were away. Thank you Tara!
