“Charles did a fantastic job while we were on vacation and our cats lived the attention he gave them. Even our less-than-friendly cat warmed up to him after only a couple visits.”

“Chris was the absolute best! The dogs loved him and can't wait for him to visit again. He kept us very well informed - we felt very well taken care of too. We are very thankful to him for saving our Thanksgiving trip.”

“ChristyLynn was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request. She was great with the dogs, they sense right away if someone is a dog person and she definitely is. She asked if it was ok for her girls to come for an evening visit and the dogs loved that. Great communication and appreciated the pics. Will definitely use her again.”

About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.
About: I have often fostered rescue pups through OTAT PDX, and have taken care of many friends' pets. Different breeds and personalities. They love romping in my yard, and I can also take reactive pups to Sniffspots if they can't do walks or a park. I love all animals and would love to hang out with your fur buddy. I am currently jobhunting after a recent layoff and home most of the time. Previously, I was a FT remote worker and hope to find a similar opportunity so I can stay home with dogs! I have a fenced yard and no other pets or humans in the home (it's just me!). My home is generally pretty quiet and chill. Love taking dogs out for exercise and enrichment multiple times a day as needed.
“Rowan has done a drop in and walks with our pets and is always timely and professional. I would absolutely book him for any future needs. The only reason we dont have him doing daily walks is that hes too far!”

“Angela is a great pet sitter and was wonderful with my two cats. She was communicative and made sure to leave detailed notes about how the cats were doing. Really appreciate her and would strongly recommend!”

“Karly was absolutely wonderful!! My love and I were a bit nervous leaving our cat with someone new for the first time but Karly made sure that our girl was loved and cared for during our long week trip. We highly recommended Karly for all pet care needs. We are so relieved to have found a great neighbor that will help take care of our girl while we are away. Plus, she has a new best friend! Thank you for being the best, Karly!!”

“Raphael dropped in the day before to meet our newly adopted 7 month old dog who is still a bit nervous with his new home. He came the next day for the drop-ins and successfully connected with him! Thanks!”

“Margaret did a spectacular job with my two cats. It was the first time leaving them since they were adopted and I was worried how they might react. But when I got home they were so relaxed they hardly noticed me. Barely opened their eyes. The photos she sent let me see how they progressed over four days. Looks like Margaret and one of the cats really bonded. Great picture of him sitting on her shoulder purring. Felt they were well taken care of the whole time.”

“Simon made my first time using Rover so easy. I received a report for each visit - with photos, which was comforting. Simon is very responsive, and easy to work with. I would definitely hire again!”

“Dominique is excellent w our 2 dogs. He pays attention to their subtle body language and took the time to win over our shy girl. He’s always on time, sends pics and thoughtful comments, and has a great, upbeat personality. Recommend!”

“Madi was wonderful! She sent me pics and let me know how they were doing. It made me feel much less worried about them! She sent wonderful updates on the things they did with her. I would absolutely recommend Madi! You won't have worry about your furry kids for sure!”

About: I have been caring for dogs for 30 years! I love dogs and they have always been a huge part of my life! I have worked as a dog walker for Wag for the past 6 months and I absolutely love it! I have experience working with all breeds, sizes, and ages. I have experience working with dogs on basic obedience and training. I have a lot of patience and compassion as well as am dependable. “Kaitlin was so helpful and communicative, it was great having her care for my elderly cat. She helped me out with a last minute change, and was very easy to work with.”

Mount Scott pet parents share their Rover experiences
Scott is the most perfect, reliable dogwalker for our rambunctious family dog. He prioritizes her comfort and happiness while maintaining boundaries and helping her show her best every day. It is such a relief to know she is in good hands with him every day. Thank you, Scott!

Raphael did twice a day check ins and meals for our two quirky dogs and a cat while we attended a wedding in California. He is amazing! Very communicative, made quick friends with our pets and managed 3 very different feeding and care instructions for 4 days. We would absolutely use him again!

Maleah is the best catsitter you could ever ask for. I used to have pretty intense anxiety about leaving my cat, as she's super emotionally needy and I would feel so guilty, especially as she got older and started having health complications & needing medication. Now, with Maleah's visits, both myself and my cat are totally 10000% at ease. Dottie is so calm and happy in the photos that Maleah sends me, in a way that she's never been before with any other catsitter. Maleah catches every little detail about Dottie's behavior, and is quick to message if there's any changes or potential concerns. I trust her wholeheartedly, and I know Dottie trusts her just as much! THANK YOU for everything, Maleah!
