About: I work for a doggie daycare and dog walking company and I walk up to 10 dogs at a time by myself in all kinds of weather. In hot weather, I bring them to shaded parks. I use healthy treats for training and every dog improves, some dramatically. My business partner and I have given sick or injured dogs wagon rides on paved bike trails to get them fresh air and socialization with their friends. At the time of this writing, between the daycare and Rover, I have worked with 80 dogs. I am currently working full time on weekdays, but I’m available on weekends for dog walking, house sitting and drop-in visits. Dog walking is included with house sitting. I am available to pet sit in client’s homes and walk dogs. I am an avid hiker, so I would take them for walks and runs if appropriate. I double check to ensure harnesses are adjusted properly and comfortable. I use a dog walking belt to attach leashes to, keeping my hands free to pick up after them. If another dog passes, I distract my dogs by offering treats for sitting, staying and directing attention at me. I love taking them to play in parks or the yard, and give lots of love, head scratches and belly rubs! I take time to train so they will trust me and come to me when called. I use a happy, excited voice to encourage them to walk, and a calm, gentle voice when giving them a treat so they learn to take it gently from my hand. I even learned commands in Spanish to help a dog who understands that language best. In addition, I have earned online certificates in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University and Animal Behavior and Welfare from the University of Edinburgh.

About: What sets me apart is that I don't just enjoy being around dogs, I genuinely understand them. I have experience with both pet sitting and training, which means I'm comfortable working with puppies who are still learning the ropes, adult dogs with established routines, and seniors who may need a little extra patience and attention. I'm attentive to behavior, energy levels, and body language, and I enjoy helping reinforce good habits while keeping pets feeling safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your dog wants an adventure, a game of fetch, a structured walk, or simply someone to sit quietly with them, I meet them where they are. Most of all, I treat every animal as an individual. My goal isn't just to watch your pet. It's to make sure they're happy, well cared for, and excited to see me again. I'm self-employed, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to build my day around the pets I'm caring for. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and honestly, it's just as much a source of joy and stress relief for me as it is a part-time way to earn a little extra spending money. Whether it's a walk, a drop-in visit, or an overnight stay, I enjoy getting to know each pet's personality and routine. Some dogs want to play, some want to explore, and some just want a buddy to hang out with. I'm happy to meet them where they are and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away. I believe pets do best when their routine stays as normal as possible, so I take the time to learn each pet's schedule, preferences, and personality. Whether I'm caring for them in their home or mine, my focus is on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, exercised, and loved. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's space. I follow feeding schedules, administer medications if needed, provide walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of updates so owners know their pets are doing well. I also have experience with basic training and behavior reinforcement, so I'm happy to maintain any commands, boundaries, or routines you're already working on. For puppies, that may mean consistency and structure. For senior pets, it often means patience, comfort, and a little extra attention. Every animal is different. Some want an adventure, some want a cuddle buddy, and some just want someone reliable to keep their world feeling normal until their family gets home. That's the approach I bring to every pet I care for.
