“Great communication! My dog is the closest thing I have to kids and it’s always hard to put her in the care of others. Abbi & Ian were able to work with our schedule and we are so thankful!”

“Jessica did an excellent job watching my two kittens. She paid close attention to my care instructions and made sure to send lots of pictures and detailed check ins. I'd definitely use her again.”
“Brinna is great! Our animals all love her, and she is so accommodating! Every time I have asked her to do something additional or different she is happy to help and wonderful about doing it! We have had her back several times now.”

“Payton was absolutely wonderful! They provided tons of great photos of our cat while we were gone and took wonderful care of her. They were also amazing at communicating throughout the trip, coordinating the check-ins, and just overall.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. Ive always had pets in the house and I have always had responsibilities to take care of them. Currently I have a 14 year old husky/heeler mix so dont worry if your babies are loud and rowdy I can handle it. I also have a sweet 2 year old corgi who is basically a toddler and a trex combined. I also have two adorable cats who I love. I have house Sat for family members for the past 5-6 years and love getting to spend time with their animals. I currently work full time but I leave early (usually around 6:30 am) and get back early (usually about 4:00pm) but weekends im all yours!! So there is plenty of time for play! I will follow your schedule as needed. I know how important it is to keep things at home as stable as possible when it comes to your pets! But dont worry there will be lots of love and playtime!!
“Tawny is such an above and beyond sitter. I always get great updates and photos of Ziggy, zig gets to walk with Tawny’s dog which is great for his socialization. Tawny also saw packages for me and brought them in AND set up Ziggy’s grass patch on the balcony, which honestly is a gross and unenjoyable job which Tawny did without prompting. I am really impressed, I trust Tawny completely with Zig.”

About: I currently work at a boarding and daycare facility and have the skills needed to be able to comfortably care for your fur baby! x I have a good balance of days off with availability most mornings,( midday depending on weather as well)and evenings! other days and times can be scheduled around my other working times! I care for pets the way i’d want my own to be treated. I make sure their necessities are met along with comfort and all the love possible!
“Sadie took such good care of my cat! Every day she sent updates with pictures and her care for my cat very evident in her updates. She even went above and beyond and emptied the litter box! I would recommend Sadie to anyone who wants their pet well cared for and loved while they are away.”

About: I love being around pets and meeting whatever needs they have. Each animal is unique and I enjoy learning what makes each one special! Through patience and compassion I meet pets where they need to be met to provide the best possible care! I do not work in the summers, so besides a few weekend trips, I am completely available! Whatever time or day you and your pet need! I live in an apartment with a dog and a cat so bringing an animal home wouldn't work. But I am willing to go to any location you need to help care for your animal!
About: My husband Judd and I have had experience with dogs all our lives with all different breeds including but not limited to Chihuahua, Labs, Shih tzu, Terrier, Pug, Dalmatian, Husky, Beagle, Dachshund and Border Collies. We have had our dogs boarded before while on vacation and I know what we would expect from a boarder for my own dogs. I provide the same quality of care I would expect from any other boarder for my own dogs for peace of mind while away. While your pet stays with us they will get plenty of exercise and TLC. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and be good with other dogs. We would love to get to know your dogs, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any comments or questions! I am a caregiver for my disabled sister so I am home all day and night and have a pretty flexible schedule. I have dogs of my own so I'm used to doing things on a schedule for them. I have a fully fenced back yard and a XL dog door. Dogs are supervised at all times to ensure safety especially with new clients.
About: I was always drawn to the animal in the room. I Love the psychology and interaction. I’ve had birds, dogs, mice, fish, lizard, and a cat. I have groomed pets for many years. Always part-time so I never burned out. I still like to brush and comb, but I like to have fun, too. I am currently unavailable for in home care. My living conditions do not allow for any dogs. Not even my own or I would have one.

“She was very reliable. It was obvious she cared about my pets and did anything she could think of to make them comfortable. She was also thoughtful enough to bring in the mail!”

“Caitlin was very pleasant & helpful she took very good care of our dogs & went above and beyond to clean up after my dogs accident. She was very reliable and my dogs loved her.”

About: I have taken care of family and friends dogs and cats since I was about 15. I work in the veterinary field, I know how to give injections if need to be, I also know how to give medication either pill or liquid form. I work a full time job 7:30-4:30. But I am able to feed the cats or dogs before I go into work and once I get off. If need to be feed 3 times a day I do have an hour lunch so it would have to be close enough to my work so I can leave and get back in time. I am available all day on weekends watch your fur babies. I have a fenced in yard, if need to be boarded at my house my animals will most likely be staying at my parents house due to 2 of them being trouble makers 😂. I will play with them and walk them either at my house or yours. I love to see the different personalities and when they come out. I am always on watch with animals due to working in the veterinary field. I will always keep them safe
“M.K. brings consistency. When I return home I can tell that my pets have been consistently cared for in a way that they need. They are happy and healthy and I quite simply couldn't ask for more.”
“Angie was great with our cat, Pippa! She provided picture updates and was really quick to communicate when we needed something. She seems to really love and care about animals and we were so glad our cat was in such great hands while we were out of town.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Valley City
Fantastic experience! I have two Great Danes, of which one was 7 months old, definitely a puppy. I had issues with the electronic doggy door. The pups started to bark and upset the neighbors. Alyssa was there to help. We modified our visits and the barking stopped. Norman, the puppy, hit his stride and ate everything, shoes, stuffing from a blanket. Alyssa cleaned up afterwards every time-to include the potty messes. Absolutely a great experience, I will use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
