“Bridgette was communicative, friendly, and made sure to take her time with my two kitties! They are always sad when I’m away, but Bridgette does her best to make them feel a little less lonely :) thanks for taking care of Juno and Minnie!”

About: Whether shy or excitable, I'm a calming presence that most pets I've met are drawn to. I have 7+ years dog walking and house sitting experience, with all ages and types ranging from puppies still learning to seniors who need extra care. I have experience with basic training and administering medicine. You can rely on me for consistent walks and drop ins, and for tidy, respectful house sits. This is my full time job, so I'm available often and my schedule is flexible. I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your pup or kitty, the longest I'm away for other appointments is typically up to 4-6 hours. My clients know that they'll come home to a clean and tidy house, with little to no sign of my being there other than happy pets!

About: Since I was a baby I had a white Lab named Cooper. Best friends have always had dogs. 3 years ago me and my mom took care of two little Labradors. I don’t currently have them anymore due to health reasons my mom was facing but would love to spend as most time as possible with animals, especially dogs. I house sitted three dogs for a week, enjoyed every minute with it. Sprinting in a field with a dog is one of the most freeing experiences everyone needs to live. I am currently unemployed trying to find work before a trip in early July, Able to help anytime during the week, nite, etc. I have a very flexible schedule I can adjust so I’m able to spend lots of time with your pet. I mainly go to the gym, and go out with friends at nighttime. I’ll show your dog around 9th and 9th. Open to driving anywhere. Would love to take your dog on a hike! Will take your dog paddleboarding, the dog park, stores.
About: I have had pets all my life. I was a vet tech for 4 years and owned my own pet sitting business for 5 years. I love animals and have experience with all kinds of pets. I love all animals from small to large. I do work a full time job Monday through Friday. Days. I work full time during the week so an available in the morning on lunch and evenings. If your dog needs full time care I am only available on the weekend. If they can stay at home with 3 visits or a night companion, then I am the right pick for you. I will treat your animals and home the same way I treat mine. Respect care and joy for your animal and home are my top priority.
“Anna was professional and communicative while coordinating drop-in visits for my two cats. She stopped by a few days before the visit to meet my boys and get in-person instructions for their care. She sent me updates and photos during her check-ins, and was open to staying for extra time on one of the days to spend more time and play with them. I appreciate Anna’s help, and would definitely use her again for a weekend trip!”

“Mo gave daily updates, and sent lots of photos and videos! She made sure our cats were very well cared for, especially our senior who needs meds. She went above and beyond to play and hang out with our boys, and made sure they received love while we were gone.”

“Emily is trustworthy, reliable, and communicative. We feel at ease leaving our cat at home knowing that Emily is taking care of her, and I love her detailed updates. I would not hesitate to rebook her again.”

About: I am new here and in search of delightful snuggles and quality play time with adorable dogs and cats. I've cared for and loved animals my entire life, and have had several careers involving animal care. Over the decades I've welcomed into my home cats, dogs, ferrets, snakes, and more. As a science teacher I've had classroom pets including gerbils, rats, fish, snakes, and even Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches. I have Red Cross certification in cat and dog first aid, which I myself take comfort in having, and private pet care insurance. Professional experience includes: *I worked for the Tracy Aviary decades ago as their Outreach Education Specialist, taking native hawks, falcons, and owls to classrooms across the state. **In my early 20's, I cared for animals at the largest kennel in Central Kentucky, Shaebell Kennels. ***I have a Master's Degree in Education, Ecology/Biology, with 2 summers of Eastern Bluebird research ****I have taught science for over 22 years at middle and high school levels. Scientifically, yes, they are animals too *****I've done bird surveys for the USFS and amphibian surveys for Frog Loggers of Kentucky, and many other volunteer ecology activities. I love working with animals of all kinds: domestic, wild, and middle-schoolers. :) Now I'm looking to relax and enjoy a quieter retirement and lots of outdoor time. Walking dogs and caring for animals sounds like an ideal hobby. I'd love to meet your sweet pets and possibly care for them. I'm brand new here, and am excited about making my first new animal friends! Now that I'm retired, my schedule is quite flexible. I'm available nearly any day and time requested. Weekdays and weekends are very similar, and I like that! Please check my calendar for availability block-outs. Safety and enjoyment are my top priorities...I want your pet to be delighted with our time together, but first we must all be safe! Thus, I'm certified by the American Red Cross in Dog and Cat first aid, and I have Pet Sitter Insurance. My goal is to not need to use that training or insurance! While teaching, I've walked hoards of middle schoolers around the city for 20 years (our school makes great use of public resources). Makes herding cats seem easy. :) Anyway, I have a full understanding of and appreciation for the risks of walking an urban environment, and will be alert and aware of our surroundings always. I will do my best to avoid possible threats and keep us all safe. If you have route suggestions, I'm all ears! Speaking of which: I look forward to meet-and-greets as an enjoyable opportunity to learn about each other and hopefully create great bonds. Beyond that, I'll learn so much about your pet, including any behaviors or medical conditions I should be aware of, or any special requests you may have. I will walk a maximum of 2 dogs together, from the same household. Since I'm new here, I want to be able to give my undivided attention and affection while I, too, am learning the ropes. For drop-in sitting, I can care for up to 5 animals in one home. If your dog pulls frequently, I may ask you if I may try some training tactics. If your dog is a strong puller, I might suggest that I am not the best fit. I think I'm in pretty good physical shape for my age, but a stronger walker might be a safer alternative for all. With drop-in sitting, I can provide nearly any pet service needed in your home, including feeding, watering, play time, and most of the extra care that senior animals or those with health issues might need. I am responsible, reliable, and respectful of your wishes for your pet's best care. Most of all, I'm excited to make some new fur baby friends!
About: I've been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, helping friends and family with walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. Being around animals has always come naturally to me - I truly fall in love with every pet meet. I’m currently studying for the ASVAB For the Airforce I have so much time in my hands, to distract myself a bit I have my dogs to keep I’m in Check and on my toes to remind me I’m not alone! I have a decent size yard for all 4 of my dogs, 2 of my pups play with my pitbull who is very playful. I do have a senior dog who hates being bothered he loves being alone in his crate, I try my best to take him out more but he rather stay in there. I also have some experience of cleaning houses I house sat for my aunt she told me I didn’t need to clean but I did anyway I can tell she was very grateful. I'm patient, attentive, and understand that every dog has their own personality and routine. Whether your pup needs long walks to burn energy, extra cuddles, or help reinforcing potty training, I'm happy to provide consistent, loving care.

“Sheila took great care of my pup! She was on time gave extra cuddles and sent cute pics. When I got home I could definitely tell she wasn’t lacking for attention. Thanks so much for caring for Piper so well! Will definitely be booking with Sheila again.”
About: I have been around dogs & cats for most of my life! I have experience with reactive dogs and those that need a little more attention. “Gaby did an amazing job caring for Bobby while we were out of town! She sent some wonderful updates and pictures. We appreciate that Gaby played with Bobby and was engaged during her visits! Thank you, Gaby! We look forward to booking you again!”

About: I have been passionate about pets my whole life. I am often asked by friends and family to dog sit and take care of their pets when they are away. I treat the dogs I sit like my own and give them the care I would to my own dogs. My dogs are used to having new pet friends when I do dog sit and get along well with them. I am experienced with pets that have special needs, and I am happy to care for fur-babies of all ages and needs. You will have peace of mind that your pet is cared for and loved. I work 4 10 hours days so I will be available on the whole weekend to care for pets. I often spend time walking my dogs and playing with them at the park. They get plenty of play time in and out of the house. I will follow any directions needed to care for your pet at home. Ensuring no escapes is priority number 1! If I am pet sitting I have a big back yard and lots of parks nearby.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats (also rabbits and chickens!). I always loved them ! Later, I had my own cats for more than 10 years but sadly he passed away. In France, I took care of my neighbor's cat and also my friend's dog (a beagle) when they needed. Also been a lot with my brother's dogs, for walks, feeding and cuddling them. I'm used to give meds to cats because mine was sick. Also, I'm a volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Society in Sugar House. Be sure that you'll receive tons of pictures of your beloved ones, that I'll play with them and pet them a lot. By the way, sorry if I say hello to them before greeting you :) Hello, I'm Agathe, 32 years old. I'm from France but I'm here in SLC for 18 months. I'm not working so I have a lot of free time. I live in Sugar House so I can easily walk into this neighborhood or take the buses if farther. I can give meds to cats and easily change their litter boxes. I'm really careful and aware with other dogs. Obviously, if you have specific instructions, I will follow them perfectly.

Jess is wonderful! She did an at in home visit and walked my dog. She provided detailed notes and photos which gave me comfort while I was away. Such a relief to know to know my girl Olive was well taken care of. I will definitely hire Jess again and highly recommend!
Mara has been absolutely amazing with my Husky, Kita. She’s incredibly reliable, communicates clearly, and always sends photos before, during, and after each walk so I know exactly how things are going. Kita genuinely loves her and gets along with her so well. Mara even went above and beyond by cleaning up an accident Kita had one day without me asking. I’m really grateful for the level of care she gives. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.

Morgan is great! She provided drop-in visits for our dog while we were at work. We felt very happy knowing such a thoughtful, experienced person was checking in on him. Our dog loved her from the first meeting and we’d be lucky to book her for longer stays in the future!

Kennedy was awesome! She was great at communicating and updating me about each visit and how they went. She was always checking in on the dog in a timely manner and made sure that he took care of business prior to leaving. I would recommend her and definitely hire her again to take care of my dog.

Michelle is great. She is definitely a star sitter. She is very responsive and communicative, which makes booking dog walks so much easier. She met my hound dog, Sonny, and did really well with him. I have really enjoyed working with her and am hoping to keep her in our network!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
