“Jeannene was so reliable and friendly. It was a relief to know that my cat was in good hands and with someone experienced with cats. She provided thorough updates and I came back to the house in great condition.”

“Another great experience with Elena! My pup is SUPER particular about people but she has warmed up to Elena over the past few months. I know this because Elena sends the best photos of Nani sleeping without a care in the world. :)”

“We had never used Rover before, but were told by others to schedule a meet & greet. From the moment my husband and I met Leigh, we knew she would do a great job taking care of our cat. We came home to a clean home and to a cat that was obviously well taken care of. We received daily updates through Rover as well as photos. Rover should be proud to have Leigh representing its company.”

“We had such a great experience with Christina! Throughout the stay, we received regular updates, photos, and little notes that showed just how well our dog was being looked after. It was clear our dog was happy, relaxed, and getting lots of attention, and love. We especially appreciated the reliability and professionalism, everything was handled exactly as discussed, and even a few extra thoughtful touches went a long way. Coming home to a happy, well-cared-for dog made all the difference. We would absolutely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Hi there:) Please read information about my schedule before booking!! (About me) I’ve been taking care of neighbors and friends dogs since I was 14, I’ve also been on the app Wag as a trusted caregiver for 2+ years, but I’ve expanded to provide services on Rover as well. I’ve administered medication, taken care of dogs in heat, and have some experience in a veterinary setting. My grandpa built the Park animal hospital in Provo, so I also have a vet on speed dial if anything should happen. I love spending time with all sorts of dogs, cats and other animals and love each one like my own:) I love to run and hike on the trails in the Aves, so if your pup loves to run let me know! I am currently employed full time at University Hospital in Salt Lake as a lab technician. My schedule is very unique; I work 7 days in a row, then get 7 days off and repeat. I have my calendar adjusted so that during my work weeks, I am unavailable for boarding or sitting. This is because I work 10 hour shifts (4am-2:30pm) and most pups can't wait that long to be let out. If your pup can handle 10 hour work days, I would be HAPPY to continue these services for you, just let me know what your pup can handle:) I recently moved to the Aves in Salt Lake and currently live alone in a studio apartment. Living here has been the best environment for caring for pups. I live in between Lindsey Gardens and Memory Grove which I’ve learned is a popular fun space for people and their pups. I also love to run! And the side walks and quiet neighborhood have been the best for taking pups with me.
“Gigi is great! She is punctual each drop-in and even takes extra care to come around the same time each day which really helps! Leaves great updates after every visit and very accommodating with care instructions (my cat is shy and needs some special attention 😹).”

“Anna is a really good pet sitter. She has taken care of our finicky cat twice now, and both times she was absolutely reliable and really wonderful at helping our cat feel safe while we were gone. Highly recommend!”

“Jami is absolutely amazing!! We couldn’t have been happier with how she took care of our doggos and they were so happy to HNH out with her. She is punctual, sweet, caring, and communicative. Highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Sydney was great and provided detailed check-ins on time with pictures which gave us peace of mind that are guys were in good hands while we were on vacation”

“Zuko is sooo happy after all his walks with Solveig, she was awesome. She sent me so many pictures and went above and beyond - walking him multiple miles, hanging out with him while I was out of town, and playing violin with him :) he’s the most relaxed I’ve seen him post-trip and definitely had a good time.”
“Bridgette did a great job dropping in on my cat! She sent pictures and videos every day, cleaned the litter box, and always gave my cat her favorite wet food. She was regularly on time with her visits, so I didn’t have to worry about my cat while I was away.”
“Madison was a fantastic sitter. She took excellent care of our three cats, was responsible, and communicated effectively. She even watered some plants for me, which I greatly appreciated. We would definitely work with her again.”

“Brooklyn does a great job at taking care of my cats and making sure they are doing well when I'm gone. They've also bonded with her and enjoy her company when she visits”

“Myla was great! My cat really loved her and she went above and beyond caring for her and my home. Myla fed and watered her, brushed her, played with her, and hid treats for her to sniff out. I came home to a happy, healthy pet! Myla even brought in several packages that arrived earlier than anticipated. Overall, I had no issues.”

“Tess is conscientious and kind. I love the consistency of her cat sitting for my baby girl when I travel. I would definitely recommend booking with Tess; she's a great cat sitter! Irene”

“My dogs had a great time with Tyson! Lots of pictures sent and thorough updates on my guys, while we were away for the weekend. I would highly recommend Tyson to another family for your pet sitting needs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Salt Lake
Lauren is so friendly and she was wonderful with our cat Pipkin. She was on time each visit and did a great job following our preferred feeding schedule - which is a bit tricky. She provided daily updates and photos and helped us keep on eye on the temperature in our home during a heat wave. She was accommodating to our every wish when it came to the care of our pet. We would definitely use her again for daily drop-in visits when we are out of town. I’ll also add that she took the job booking kind of last minute which was a great relief. If you want the very best care for your pet - Lauren can deliver!

Sarah really helped me out for a last minute long-term booking when my plans fell through right before an international trip. She was great! Frequent pics of the cats helped me feel little stress that they were taken care of while I was away. She also stayed longer one day when the batteries in my CO sensor died and the alarm was going off to make sure she and I talked and things were ok. Would definitely hire again, thanks Sarah!!

Isabella was wonderful with our cats, Venus and Zeus! She was super reliable, communicative, and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. The cats were so well cared for, and we really appreciated the thoughtful updates. We would definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
