“Ollie looks forward to his time with Annie every week. Her is down 5 pounds and a happy guy. We are blessed to have found such a wonderful flexible person for him.”

“Sydney did a great job with our 2 pups! Sydney took time to meet and get to know our American Staffy and lab mix, both rescues and with their own quirkiness.”

About: I have loved dogs and puppies since before I could walk. I was the main caretaker of a 4 year old dog since he was a puppy before I moved to college, and now that I’ve graduated I want to be able to care for dogs again! I absolutely love the outdoors, including going on walks or hikes and parks. I'm very energetic, hard working, and punctual! I'll try to get back as soon as I can on any sitter requests. Feel free to let me know any special requests with your dog, I'm pretty flexible.
About: I have taken care of pets for almost my whole life, from my own family pets to friends and family. I will give your pet my full undivided attention and care for their every need. I love getting out and exercising with pets, I’m not afraid of any messes, and every animal I’ve ever met has grown a bond with me. Your pet is your best friend and I will treat them as my own as well, I can’t wait to meet them! I currently am very flexible with my time and am able to dig sit on weekdays or weekends and dog walk anytime during the day. Ongoing long term schedules with your pet would be great. I love playing and exercising with animals so taking them to dog parks is an easy thing for me, I can walk them and get all that energy out, and I’ll be sure to make sure they get all their well deserved plays in!
“Eric is awesome. He admitted that he was newer to Rover but made up for it with extra effort and dedication. I appreciate the time that he took with my doggo and kept me updated on how things went. I highly recommend Eric and will continue to be a repeat customer of his for as long as he is available. Thank you Eric!”

“Gigi is fantastic! She is really communicative, gives detailed updates, is flexible and is overall really great to work with. She takes excellent care of my pup on her walks and is always mindful of my pup's safety and needs!”

“Jacob is incredible! Always reliable and quick to respond. I love that I always get photos on the walks and that his pup gets to join! Highly recommended!”

About: Growing up, I had 4 cats and 1 dog (dachshund) at home, so I’m very used to furry friends. :) I also watched my friends’ cats for them during graduate school when they went away on trips! I take care of pets like I would want my own cat, Luna, to be loved and cared for. I adore playing with, petting, and loving animals! I just graduated from my PhD program and moved to UT in June, so I am currently available all day everyday to watch your furry friends while I’m on the job market! First and foremost, I want to make sure your pet is physically and mentally safe. This means knowing what emergency vet to take them to in the case of emergency, monitoring their eating, and approaching them on their own terms. I’m happy to just be present in the home until your pet feels safe enough to greet me.
“Tyson was great! Arrived on scheduled time. He let us know in advance when he was going to be late. His schedule is very open and we are thankful he was able to accept our last minute booking. He took photos and wrote reports for our dog.”

“Christian is a great caregiver. He showed up early and spent a good time walking our pup. She has leash reactivity and can be difficult to walk sometimes. We wouldn't trust her to just anyone! We would hire Christian anytime - highly recommended.”

About: Hi, I’m Solveig! I love caring for cats and dogs! I’ve had my cat, Autumn, for four years now, and I’ve grown up with dogs in my family. I’ve fed, played with, walked, and cared for my family’s dogs from a young age. I’m also an experienced pet-sitter with over ten years of experience caring for cats and dogs in my neighborhood. I love spending time with animals, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats who are shyer and more anxious, as well as those with more exuberant personalities! I’m comfortable administering oral and injected medications and caring for senior dogs and cats as well. I love taking dogs on walks, and I’m experienced and comfortable walking dogs of varying energy levels and personalities. I recently graduated with my master’s degree and am working part-time as a violinist, so I have lots of free time, especially during the day on weekdays! This means that I’m available for midday check-ins and dog walks when many people are at work. Because of my work as a violinist, some weeks I’m unavailable in the evenings (7-10 pm) due to orchestra rehearsals and concerts. Reach out and I can provide more details. My schedule is flexible and changes week to week, so I’m able to accommodate many last minute requests and meet your scheduling needs for your pet! When caring for pets in your home, I make sure that both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. I treat every pet like it’s my own, providing plenty of love, attention, and care while also respecting the home that they live in. I follow all instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine, whether that’s mealtimes, playtime, walks, or administering special care. I know how important consistency is, so I make sure your pet feels safe and secure, even while you’re away. You can rely on me to be communicative, reliable, and attentive when caring for your pet!
About: Hey there! I am the mom of a 2 year old Silver Lab (Maddux) and 3 year old Dutch Shepherd (Hooch). Both my babies get along with other dogs great. I’ve grown up with multiple dogs so I’ve taken care of and been around dogs my entire life. I am surrounded by a wide variety of dog breeds on a daily basis because I work in an environment where I’m able to bring dogs to work. I am open to watching any breed or sized dog. I understand the concern of leaving your fur baby with someone you don’t know and would love to help. I am an active, loving, responsible individual who just really wants to watch your dog if you’ll let me :)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Salt Lake
We are moving and will miss Bridgette so much! Our dog is scared of new people and she worked so hard and was patient enough to to gain his trust - now I can tell he loves when she visits and takes him on walks. I am so thankful for her care for Toby, from last minute schedule changes to checking in on him when he was post op from his TPLO, we always knew we could trust her with his care!

Anna is honestly the best! She’s walked in to my house finding that my dog has pulled some stitches out. She got a hold of my emergency contact right away when she couldn’t get a hold of me and offered to come back and take him to the vet if needed! She cares so much, I couldn’t have appreciated her more when I was away!

Thanks Marissa for walking my favourite son, Logan. I really appreciate the quick responses during a chaotic time for us (having just moved from another country). Logan is an anxious dog, sometimes not ok w other dogs and judging by the feedback and photos Marissa sent, she’s managed to help him make new furry friends already!! Thank you so much.

Myla Rose has done many walks as well as house sitting for us and has been an absolute pleasure to work with! Our dog can take awhile to warm up and they have definitely earned his trust. We can tell he enjoys their time together. During the most recent house sitting, our dog had been sick and we had to cancel his daycare stay, but thankfully Myla was available for a last minute dog sitting and despite our dog needing some closer monitoring than usual we felt completely at ease leaving him in their care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
