“Eric is awesome. He admitted that he was newer to Rover but made up for it with extra effort and dedication. I appreciate the time that he took with my doggo and kept me updated on how things went. I highly recommend Eric and will continue to be a repeat customer of his for as long as he is available. Thank you Eric!”

“Jacob is incredible! Always reliable and quick to respond. I love that I always get photos on the walks and that his pup gets to join! Highly recommended!”

About: Hey there! I am the mom of a 2 year old Silver Lab (Maddux) and 3 year old Dutch Shepherd (Hooch). Both my babies get along with other dogs great. I’ve grown up with multiple dogs so I’ve taken care of and been around dogs my entire life. I am surrounded by a wide variety of dog breeds on a daily basis because I work in an environment where I’m able to bring dogs to work. I am open to watching any breed or sized dog. I understand the concern of leaving your fur baby with someone you don’t know and would love to help. I am an active, loving, responsible individual who just really wants to watch your dog if you’ll let me :)
“Tyson is fantastic and incredibly accommodating. It takes my fur balls a moment to warm up, but by the second walk, he's already got it all figured out.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and currently own both a Husky with a seizure disorder and a senior Malamute with arthritis. Caring for special needs and senior dogs has given me hands-on experience with medications, mobility support, routines, and recognizing behavioral changes quickly. I have also personally trained my own dogs and am comfortable working with high-energy breeds, strong personalities, and dogs that need extra patience and structure. I am currently a full-time student and work from home doing freelance projects, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, and attention. I am available for drop-ins and dog walks throughout the week, overnight boarding in my home (I do have two large breed dogs but they get along with others), and outings to local parks or dog parks like Tanner Park for socialization and exercise. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, triggers, and energy level so I can provide consistent care with as little stress as possible. In my home, dogs are supervised, exercised appropriately, and given a calm environment with plenty of attention, play, and structure. I also have a fully fenced yard with a dog door so dogs have safe access to outdoor time and potty breaks throughout the day. I am experienced with medications, mobility support, and monitoring behavioral changes due to caring for both a special needs Husky and a senior Malamute.

“Sadie always has a great time with Sheila! Since I'm gone 12 hours a day, it feels good knowing that I can depend on Sheila to help take care of my dog. She was very thorough and asked good questions during our first meeting, and lets me know far in advance if she's going to be out of town.”

“Hailee is so wonderful! She’s helped me out when I was in a pickle multiple times and my dog loves her. She’s easy going, great with pets, and has great communication:). Thanks Hailee!”

“Ollie looks forward to his time with Annie every week. Her is down 5 pounds and a happy guy. We are blessed to have found such a wonderful flexible person for him.”

“Sydney did a great job with our 2 pups! Sydney took time to meet and get to know our American Staffy and lab mix, both rescues and with their own quirkiness.”

About: I love the dogs more then anything!! Taking my dog for a walk is one of my favorite things to do and I’m hoping to assist others that aren’t able to walk their dogs as much as they would like. I am super active and I love to go to the park. I live right across the street from sugarhouse park which is the perfect place to take dogs! I often watch my in-laws dogs and they get the royal treatment and don’t want to leave here! I can’t wait to meet some new pups! I currently only work three days a week so I have a lot of extra time on my hands and I also love to stay active. I’m always at the park with my dog or taking it on walks or playing with him. I am available to walk dogs Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday all day or Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday in the mornings! I also have a dog stroller for older dogs that still want to have some fun and get out but can’t quite keep up! I am super cautious with dogs and keeping them safe and on leash at all times. I’ve learned some great training techniques as well with dogs. I always like to make them feel comfortable. I have a yorkie which is a high anxiety dog so I know how to deal with that very well. He also has pancreatitis so I know how important staying on a healthy diet is for all dogs! We also live right next to a park which is amazing for morning walks and a dog park that is great for those social dogs!

About: currently care for my 7-year-old Springer Spaniel, Dixie, as well as my 19-year-old senior hospice cat, Stanley, so I’m very comfortable with everything from high-energy play and structured routines to attentive senior and specialized care. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, including active breeds, shy pets, and pets with medication or routine needs. I prioritize safety, communication, and making sure every pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and consistency throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, boarding, and check-ins during weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work with different routines and energy levels, whether your pet loves adventures or prefers a calm, cozy environment. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I keep a clean, calm environment and always take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs. I’m comfortable with crating if requested, administering basic medications, and following detailed care instructions. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
About: Whether shy or excitable, I'm a calming presence that most pets I've met are drawn to. I have 7+ years dog walking and house sitting experience, with all ages and types ranging from puppies still learning to seniors who need extra care. I have experience with basic training and administering medicine. You can rely on me for consistent walks and drop ins, and for tidy, respectful house sits. This is my full time job, so I'm available often and my schedule is flexible. I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to your pup or kitty, the longest I'm away for other appointments is typically up to 4-6 hours. My clients know that they'll come home to a clean and tidy house, with little to no sign of my being there other than happy pets!
About: I have grown up and raised numerous dogs at a time. I have experience with cats, birds, rodents and fish. My current pet is a husky named Lacey who loves and gets along with everyone including other pets. I have raised yorkies, pit bulls, huskies, and dalmatians just to name a few. i love to make new animal friends and cant wait to meet your best friend =) I work seasonal jobs and have long breaks in between jobs where I enjoy spending my time outside meeting new dogs and playing with my dog. I have a small but useful fenced in backyard as well as a large dog park around the corner where we can play and run our little hearts out. I enjoy long walks and throwing the ball for your pet to fetch. A tired pet is a happy pet.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats (also rabbits and chickens!). I always loved them ! Later, I had my own cats for more than 10 years but sadly he passed away. In France, I took care of my neighbor's cat and also my friend's dog (a beagle) when they needed. Also been a lot with my brother's dogs, for walks, feeding and cuddling them. I'm used to give meds to cats because mine was sick. Also, I'm a volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Society in Sugar House. Be sure that you'll receive tons of pictures of your beloved ones, that I'll play with them and pet them a lot. By the way, sorry if I say hello to them before greeting you :) Hello, I'm Agathe, 32 years old. I'm from France but I'm here in SLC for 18 months. I'm not working so I have a lot of free time. I live in Sugar House so I can easily walk into this neighborhood or take the buses if farther. I can give meds to cats and easily change their litter boxes. I'm really careful and aware with other dogs. Obviously, if you have specific instructions, I will follow them perfectly.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Salt Lake
We are moving and will miss Bridgette so much! Our dog is scared of new people and she worked so hard and was patient enough to to gain his trust - now I can tell he loves when she visits and takes him on walks. I am so thankful for her care for Toby, from last minute schedule changes to checking in on him when he was post op from his TPLO, we always knew we could trust her with his care!

Anna is honestly the best! She’s walked in to my house finding that my dog has pulled some stitches out. She got a hold of my emergency contact right away when she couldn’t get a hold of me and offered to come back and take him to the vet if needed! She cares so much, I couldn’t have appreciated her more when I was away!

Thanks Marissa for walking my favourite son, Logan. I really appreciate the quick responses during a chaotic time for us (having just moved from another country). Logan is an anxious dog, sometimes not ok w other dogs and judging by the feedback and photos Marissa sent, she’s managed to help him make new furry friends already!! Thank you so much.

Myla Rose has done many walks as well as house sitting for us and has been an absolute pleasure to work with! Our dog can take awhile to warm up and they have definitely earned his trust. We can tell he enjoys their time together. During the most recent house sitting, our dog had been sick and we had to cancel his daycare stay, but thankfully Myla was available for a last minute dog sitting and despite our dog needing some closer monitoring than usual we felt completely at ease leaving him in their care.

Elena was great!! She took such good care of our pups, taking them on long walks (even in the rain) and sent many cute photos that were better than the ones we have even been able to take! We were relieved knowing that Elena was coming over to feed and check on the pups after having been gone for a long day because we knew she would take great care of them and the pups love her.

Sarah has been walking our pups for the past two weeks, and they’ve already fallen in love with her. She’s punctual and ensures they get their walks, treats, and belly rubs. I had a hard time finding someone I could trust to take care of them, but I’ve found my perfect match in Sarah.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
