About: I have worked in Home healthcare for 20 years and most of my clients have pets that I take on walks, give medicine too, and cuddle with. I also was a professional pet sitter/dog walker/border a few years ago in Boston and absolutely loved it! My husband and I both work from home so we have a lot of free time to make sure your precious pups are getting everything they need! We have a large fenced in yard for plenty of playtime and will make sure they have all the water they need! We also have our own dog so we know how they operate inside the house as well!

About: I’ve watched dogs, cats, puppies, senior dogs with medical needs, turtles, bunnies, fish, chickens, and open to all other pets! I’ve grown up around animals all my life, and continue to be a trusted and loyal sitter for my family and friends furry family members. I love taking dogs on walks, or simply hanging out on the couch catching giving lots of pets and love. I’m extremely patient and have dealt with all types of personalities with pets. I hope you chose me to take care of your pets! I work from home on Mondays and Fridays so I’m able to bring my work with me anywhere! I love going on walks throughout my day, and it’s made even better if I have a dog accompanying me. On weekends, I’ll prioritize the pets always. If they’re an energetic dog, I’ll make sure they get their energy out. If they’re more on the mellow side, I’ll make sure to spend time with them giving lots of pets and lounge next to them. If I need to leave the house for errands or workout, I try to not spend more than 2 hours aways at most. Your pet is my priority! I like to make sure I have all the info to ensure the most successful visit. If there’s any limitations on movements, or priorities of energy, I want to focus on the best time spent and that your pet is happy and safe. If I walk them, I avoid busy areas and keep them calm and safe. If we are inside, I make sure they have my attention and are getting all the love. Clear communication and expectations of what you would like will set us both up for success and happiness.
“Eric is awesome. He admitted that he was newer to Rover but made up for it with extra effort and dedication. I appreciate the time that he took with my doggo and kept me updated on how things went. I highly recommend Eric and will continue to be a repeat customer of his for as long as he is available. Thank you Eric!”

About: I have loved dogs and puppies since before I could walk. I was the main caretaker of a 4 year old dog since he was a puppy before I moved to college, and now that I’ve graduated I want to be able to care for dogs again! I absolutely love the outdoors, including going on walks or hikes and parks. I'm very energetic, hard working, and punctual! I'll try to get back as soon as I can on any sitter requests. Feel free to let me know any special requests with your dog, I'm pretty flexible.
About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life so i have lots of experience taking care of them! I also have experience cat sitting for neighbors and family members. I volunteer every year at best friends to take care of a variety of cats and dogs and give them the help they need. i am free as a bird! Taking care of your fur baby will be my number one priority. I am available whenever you will need me so just send me a text and i’ll be there! When caring for pets in my home, safety is the top priority. I ensure that all potentially hazardous materials, such as cleaning supplies and medications, are stored securely out of reach. i will maintain their regular routine so they feel comfortable and secure.
“Christian is amazing! He was very reliable and took our dog on great walks. He was communicative and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. Our pup definitely has a new friend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old and trained my dog by myself. My dog, Coco is at home in Salt Lake City, and is still alive (13 years old!) and happy and healthy. I will spoil your pets and love them like you love them I’m a student, and I love pets and walking, so I can do walks once or multiple times per day! I would be more than happy to do so I will follow the instructions you give me for the care of your pets in your own home whilst being respectful and responsible of the house and your little family member :) Your pet will receive much love from me!
About: I’ve had a dog in my family ever since I was a kid. Now that I’ve moved out on my own, my older brothers and sister have relied on me to take care of their fur babies while they take their human babies on a trip I work from home on my laptop so I’ll always be available to provide the love, care, and attention your fur baby needs, whenever he or she needs it. Due to the lack of yard and occasionally longer work days, I prefer to care for moderate to low energy dogs I have four different parks in my area with plenty of space to let out energy, relief the zoomies, and play fetch with a ball or a favorite stick
“Only just met Melanie - she's awesome and my puppers loved her. Happy she was able to squeeze in a visit last minute. Bonus - she takes the best photos! Will definitely be calling her again.”

About: With previous experience as a veterinary tech, I’ve handled and cared for an assortment of different fur babies. I’m comfortable administering medicine, giving baths, providing assistance with training, taking them on long walks, and adhering to feeding schedules. I’ve watched animals for friends, family, and clients for over 10 years and built many trust worthy relationships. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your pets, and I pride myself of making sure you feel comfortable leaving them in my care. I’m happy to answer any questions or concerns you have regarding the specific needs of your pet, and will not accept a request that I feel is beyond my scope of capability. I’m now working fully remote and able to do out-of-home pet care services with full weekday and weekend availability. In-home care at my house is also a potential option but not a possibility for cats (my boyfriend is allergic). I’ve found that pets tend to feel more comfortable in their home environments, especially when being introduced to a new sitter. It’s easier for me to get to know them and build trust when they have minimal outside stressors. I’m happy to watch your pet in my home once we establish a relationship and I can verify the temperament of the animal to feel assured it will be okay in my house. Both of my dogs are kennel trained and can be put up if needed to be left alone at my house. I’m comfortable with people having a furbo/canary/dog watching camera at their homes, however I do not have one in mine.
About: Hi! I'm Sofia, and I'd love to become your dog's new favorite sitter! As a lifelong animal lover, I know that pets are family. When you're away, my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. I'm currently returning to school to earn my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of quality time and attention to the pets in my care. Pet sitting is something I genuinely enjoy because it combines my love of animals with spending time outdoors and helping fellow pet owners. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, as well as small animals like guinea pigs. I take the time to learn each pet's routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and right at home. One of my favorite things to do is explore Utah's beautiful trails. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'd love to take them on dog-friendly hikes or nature walks with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and hikes and loves making new friends. If your dog prefers one-on-one outings or does better without another dog, I'm always happy to accommodate that. Every walk is tailored to your dog's personality, energy level, and your preferences, with safety always coming first. When your pet is with me, you can expect: 🐾 Plenty of love, attention, and playtime 📸 Frequent photo and video updates 🚶 Walks, hikes, and activities tailored to your dog's needs 💊 Medication administration if needed 🍽️ Careful attention to feeding schedules and special instructions ❤️ Patient, positive, and compassionate care My professional background in healthcare administration and education has taught me to be dependable, organized, and an excellent communicator. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether your dog loves adventures, belly rubs, or simply having a companion while you're away, I'll treat them like one of my own. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I look forward to getting to know you both. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I'm currently returning to school for my master's degree, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my days around the pets I'm caring for. My own Shih Tzu, Lucy, gets daily walks, playtime, and lots of attention, so caring for dogs is already built into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that's neighborhood walks, hikes, or trips to dog-friendly parks. If your dog enjoys adventures, I'm happy to include them (with your permission). I also make time throughout the day for feeding, enrichment, potty breaks, cuddles, and, of course, plenty of photo updates for owners. I believe pets thrive when they have consistency, attention, and exercise, so I make it a priority to provide all three while they're in my care. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible by keeping them on their normal routine. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any special needs or preferences. I make sure every pet gets plenty of love, attention, playtime, and mental enrichment throughout the day. If your dog enjoys being active, I'm happy to provide neighborhood walks, nature walks, or dog-friendly hikes with your permission. My friendly Shih Tzu, Lucy, often joins us on walks and loves making new friends, but I'm equally happy to provide one-on-one outings if that's a better fit for your dog. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. I'll keep your home clean, provide regular updates with photos and videos, and make sure your pet feels safe and loved until you return. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is receiving the same level of care, affection, and attention they would receive from family.
About: I just finished my freshman year of college. I love all animals and grew up around dogs. I have plenty of experience sitting and walking small and big dogs. I’m currently a student at the University of Utah but I have plenty of availability to stop by during the day and check on the pets. I only care for pets in the owners home. But I’ll do whatever is needed and I make sure the pet is well loved and happy.
About: I have 10+ years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds. I took a few college courses that were 2 years long to learn about animal care. I also worked at a reptile education center where I took care of the animals and educated people about them. I love animals of all kinds and would love to watch your pet! I have lots of time in the day to watch and play with your pet. I do have a cat at home so I do have to go check on him every 3-4 hours! I will follow your schedule to a T to make sure your pet doesn’t skip out on their daily routine. I have experience taking care of even shy animals so I have lots of patience and am willing to let them take their time to adjust to me. I am ok going on walks in neighborhoods and parks as well as playing with your pet in such areas.
About: I have had 20 dogs all at once before and have handled every single situation possible and know how to clean and sanitize very well. I walk my moms dogs daily and try to visit the pet shelter to keep the dogs and cats company I have always wanted my own dogs for when I’m older and look forward to it. I care for pets anyway and every way possible if the owner has special requests that is a no problem and I do basic things like walks, playing, tracing…
About: I have grown up with big and small dogs and have always loved them. I make sure to be very attentive to any dog I am with, bringing them on lots of walks, and hanging with them. I am an online student with a flexible schedule. This allows me to be very attentive to your dog, lots of walks, lots of hanging nearby. I take great care of pets. I make sure they get the exercise they need, and the time spent just hanging out close by. I think most dogs love to be around people as much as they can, and I make that happen!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Holladay
Rachel was incredible! Our dog loved her, and it was obvious when we got home that she was thoroughly worn out from her morning walk. She was punctual, sent us a photo during the walk, and we felt completely comfortable giving her access to our home while we were away. We’ll definitely be booking with her again whenever we need a dog walker.
Eric is amazing with my dog Lucy!! They go on an hour walk twice a week and i come home to an exercised relaxed pup after a long shift. Eric was always been very attentive and has never missed a walk or been late, he’s even cleaned up the trash spread throughout my house from my very energetic dog..haha, that being said eric is reliable and very kind, highly recommend!

Brooke did amazing walking with our shepherd! She came over for a meet and greet before hand to get the lay of the land, which we greatly appreciate! She went above and beyond walking during the drop-in visit/walk and we would definitely ask her to care for Indiana again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
