“Jackalyn is awesome. Communicates great trustworthy and takes my pup on a nice long walk everyday when im at work. She goes above and beyond! Just in the past two weeks she had to fight off another dog that tried to bite my dog while she was walking him and also picked up the trash that my dog got into while I was away. Highly recommend!!”

About: I have 12 years of hands-on experience caring for animals. I've owned two dogs for 9 years and currently have a 6 year old cat and a 1 year old cat, so I am comfortable with both dogs and cats at all life stages. I'm patient, attentive and treat every pet like my own. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate consistent and attentive companionship to your pet. I am eager to offer reliable and professional services, prioritising your pet's well-being and your peace of mind. For pet care, I provide care in my client's home only, as I am unable to host pets in my house. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding, walks or playtime, cleaning, and any special care instructions. I prioritize safety, consistency, and respect for your home, and I aim to keep pets comfortable and stress-free in their familiar environment. I'm reliable and communicative, and I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos.
About: I have 10+ years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds. I took a few college courses that were 2 years long to learn about animal care. I also worked at a reptile education center where I took care of the animals and educated people about them. I love animals of all kinds and would love to watch your pet! CURRENTLY NOT TAKING RECURRING/WEEKLY CLIENTS! I have lots of time in the day to watch and play with your pet. I do have a cat at home so I do have to go check on him every 3-4 hours! I will follow your schedule to a T to make sure your pet doesn’t skip out on their daily routine. I have experience taking care of even shy animals so I have lots of patience and am willing to let them take their time to adjust to me. I am ok going on walks in neighborhoods and parks as well as playing with your pet in such areas.
About: My name’s Chris and I’m a nursing student and animal lover! I’ve had 4 cats over the course of my life with varying medical needs, from prescription diets to daily oral medication. I also love dogs and have spent lots of time around dogs, and I’d love to take care of yours :) I’m currently a student so my schedule is pretty flexible from now until January! My schedule will look different after January, but I should know more as January approaches. I can feed your furry friends, play with them, administer their medications, crate them, take them for walks, comfort them, give them treats, and anything else your friend may need while my services are needed!
“Carlos is consistent and so kind with our puppy. He communicates with progress and suggestions to make Diesel's walks more engaging and provide learning opportunities. We appreciate Carlos being part of Diesel's crew!”

“McKenzie has just started walking my dog. She has been great with her. She’s great with Communication, patience, kindness, and going the extra mile. My girl loves her. I can’t recommend McKenzie enough!”
“Edna takes care of my pup as she would for her own... She walks my dog everyday, on hot days she would take time to rest in the shades, on cooler days she would spend some time playing with my dog on the grass. She is someone who knows that a walk for a dog isn't always about the distance, its about the quality and having fun!”

“Elisabeth is awesome! She has taken my dog Graham out for several walks and somehow manages to get him out and about (even though he is a bit lazy). She takes great care to make him feel comfortable and I feel so at ease knowing he is in good hands. Would recommend!”

About: I have a genuine love for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities—including larger or misunderstood breeds such as Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and German Shepherds. Dogs bring me so much joy, and I love being a trusted companion they can feel comfortable and happy around. I’m patient, attentive, and understand that every dog has their own unique needs and personality. I’m also an active person who enjoys taking long walks and spending plenty of time outdoors. As a lacrosse player, I especially enjoy playing fetch and keeping energetic dogs engaged and entertained! I also have a 9-year-old dog who loves making new friends and would be happy to have a companion to play with. Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, companionship, or a little extra love while you’re away, I’d be happy to help. Feel free to reach out—I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care throughout the day. I’m happy to maintain a structured routine based on your pet’s needs, including regular feeding times, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I will follow each pet’s established daily routine while prioritizing their safety, comfort, and well-being. I will provide fresh water, clean up after the pets, and monitor and report any changes in appetite, mood, behavior, or bathroom habits. I will also respect your home and keep the space clean and tidy by washing dishes, taking out the trash, and cleaning up after the pets.
About: I’ve had a dog in my family ever since I was a kid. Now that I’ve moved out on my own, my older brothers and sister have relied on me to take care of their fur babies while they take their human babies on a trip I work from home on my laptop so I’ll always be available to provide the love, care, and attention your fur baby needs, whenever he or she needs it. Due to the lack of yard and occasionally longer work days, I prefer to care for moderate to low energy dogs. Also, I attend church for about two hours on Sunday afternoons. Dogs that are crate trained are welcome to relax in a crate during that time. If your dog cannot safely be left alone for two hours, please let me know before booking so we can determine whether we’re a good fit I have four different parks in my area with plenty of space to let out energy, relief the zoomies, and play fetch with a ball or a favorite stick
“Eric is awesome. He admitted that he was newer to Rover but made up for it with extra effort and dedication. I appreciate the time that he took with my doggo and kept me updated on how things went. I highly recommend Eric and will continue to be a repeat customer of his for as long as he is available. Thank you Eric!”

“Bridgette was able to come for a meet & greet before the booking and was very comfortable with my pitbull Emmylou. She sent lots of great updates and videos throughout the stay. There was a little bit of a miscommunication one of the days when Bridgette was ill, but we got it resolved quickly and she discounted our stay price. Overall I felt comfortable leaving my reactive pitbull in Bridgette’s care.”

About: I have taken care of plenty of animals from a very young age. I’ve trained before and enjoyed seeing the progress that comes with. I am great with any age of dog and understand the difference in temperament! I am currently working a job as a barista and am a student at SLCC. My job is fairly flexible and doesn’t demand my full days. I do schooling online so it is easy for me to do homework anywhere. I am happy to take your dog on walks, play with them in the backyard, do trainings etc. Whatever your pet may need! I am familiar with crate training and am comfortable with it. I like to watch dogs in your home, because it gives them a sense of safety and comfort.
“Melanie was amazing with Blue, I asked her if she can help me making him tired so he doesn't have a lot of anxiety and she did such a good job! I got to my house and Blue didn't even bark and was laying down on my bed, she would send pictures, and always had a good communication!”

“Christian is amazing! He was very reliable and took our dog on great walks. He was communicative and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. Our pup definitely has a new friend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
