“Tami was so attentive to our two little yorkies when they stayed with her for the first time. She sent pictures and a little note letting us know how and what they were up to. I really appreciated that and will definitely be staying with her in the future. I also appreciated her feedback on our little one’s knee and how he did with walking. I explained to her that he had a bad knee and she kept an eye on it during his stay.”
“Ally and her dogs were awesome! She sent lots of updates and her house was also very pet friendly with a huge fenced backyard. My pup came back happy and tired from all the playing, we’re looking forward to seeing her and her dogs again :)”

“Amber was great! Easy drop off and pick up! She sent great updates. Lots of playing, snuggles and she took them on a walk. My pups seemed very comfortable and right at home! Thank you!!”

“She was amazing! I received Tons of pictures of the day. Plus, my pup was in heaven with all the walks, ball fetching and playtime with other pups. I highly recommend Silvana and I will definitely use her again next time I am in Utah. She’s the BEST!”

“Henry had an amazing time with Robyn. Their dog was an amazing playmate and they sent an adorable photo of Henry settling in and having a good time. Robyn was also very quick to respond to all communication and worked with me very nicely when I messed up the pickup time and asked to swing by earlier. Great experience for all parties.”

“Matti was wonderful with my two fur babies. Sent updates and pictures every day. As a lover of my babies and had the common worry of thinking my babies were thinking I abandoned them I really appreciate her reassurance towards me! I will definitely book again! Thank you Matti”

“Lauren is the best sitter Chief’s ever had. She made him feel so comfortable, kept him exercised and socialized, and use discretion when it came to his needs/comfort level. Thanks for taking such good care of my guy and putting my mind at ease while I was away, Lauren!”

“Lyndi was absolutely wonderful to our special needs Havanese dog. He liked staying over there! We are grateful to have found her! We will definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Amy and her family were super sweet with our little Willow! I was very comfortable leaving her with them. She seemed to feel right at home and enjoyed the interaction with the children. Amy was definitely the Alpha! We will use her again!”

“Charity and Eric always take of our dogs as if they were their own. I have peace of mind every time we leave our dogs here and they provide many daily updates so we always know how our dogs are doing. I definitely recommend!”

“Adam is so reliable, trustworthy, and fun - our dog loves staying with him. He’s super communicative and sends awesome picture updates. This was our dog’s second stay with Adam, and we’ll definitely book again. Thank you!”

“Stop looking and book with Justine and her family! I am a first timeuser using this service no recommendations from anyone I just didn’t have someone to dog sit for us since our dog in my opinion is needy and high energy. Boarding is extremely expensive from what some I know have used and not as personal. Justine and her family were absolutely amazing and made my fur baby feel right at home... Seriously !! I went off the reviews and seeing the returning customers made me feel willing to try it out. I will definitely use Justine going forward! I’m completely comfortable and felt at ease. Justine was so tentative to send me updates and pictures. My Canelo looked happy with the new friends he has made. If your dog does well with other dogs book with them you can be assured your fur baby will be in great hands. ❤️”

“Gravy had a great time with NadjaMarie and Kurt! We could tell immediately it was a good match from how quickly Gravy warmed up to them. Their dog Luka is a friendly easygoing companion and we felt really comfortable leaving Gravy with them.”

About: I have been loving, caring for and training dogs since I was a young child. My first family dog was at age two, and I have always been drawn to care for these sweet creatures! I am an elementary school teacher, and I love caregiving. I have a background in Psychology and Neuroscience and I have trained and worked with classical and operant conditioning models, which can be helpful in the training realms with the pups! I have experience training and caring for small and large dogs. I am a school teacher, and I am off for the summer. I have open availability to care for furry friends for the summer :) I have flexibility and time throughout the summer for all pet care and boarding. Our home is very safe, fun and pet-friendly…just ask Mabel Danger Bagel Beans! She is the basset hound that will be around for your dog to play with. I am also always happy to accommodate any specific needs that your dog has in your own home.
“Seini was so lovely to do business with! We have used her services twice now. Our dog was SO well cared for (AND LOVED!!) while we were on vacation. She was extremely attentive taking her to the park to fetch the ball most every day. She gives frequent updates and is a reassuring calm presence I trust her.”

“James was once again amazing with our babies and they had an absolute blast with him! We can’t say enough good things about him! He’s the best rover we’ve had by far!”

“My two little guys (10.5 year old papillon) spent a week with Kristine and her doggies while we went on family trips. Kristine was very nice, warm, and professional. She made sure all parties were comfortable and felt safe before taking the dogs into her home. She sent us photos and updates throughout for our peace of mind. When I picked them up after the 4th of July, they were exhausted from all of the playing they did in her yard. We're so grateful for her tender loving care of our little adventure buddies.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holladay
One of our best experiences on Rover! An amazing experience from start to finish! Our dog was treated like part of the family, and we could tell they had a great time. We loved getting updates while we were away, and it made traveling so much less stressful. We came home to a happy dog and are so grateful for the wonderful care. Highly recommend! Elizabeth is the best!

Our golden's first time away was amazing thanks to Jen, Daniel, Ruby (their golden), and their children. We received photos and videos of Peach playing with Ruby, sleeping on their son's bed, having fun with the children, and getting plenty of exercise. We are so grateful for the high quality and attentive care. Peach is more confident and ready for another fun time with this family. Thank you so much!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
