“Rebeca and Ian took such incredible care of my fur baby. Roo loved running around the yard and playing with lui and I saw so many pictures and videos, it was so comforting and reassuring to see how happy she was while I was traveling. Can not recommend enough!! Thank you thank you thank you”

“Beth was wonderful! Constant updates and videos of my boys! Very accommodating and responded ASAP! When I picked the boys up, they seemed super happy and content. 10 out of 10, would have her watch them again!”

“Seini was absolutely amazing and the sweetest! It was the first time I had boarded my pup and she made me feel very calm about the whole experience. My pup is on the older side and seini made sure all her needs were met. I would highly recommend!”

“We can never say enough about how wonderful charity and Erik are. They treat our dog better than we could ever hope for and we never have to worry when we leave town.”

“Delia made sure my black lab's overnight stay was awesome! She kept me updated with several photos and videos. I highly recommend her if you need a sitter in the Salt Lake area.”

“This family was the sweetest to our pup while we traveled on a weekend trip. They gave us the peace of mind that our dog was well loved and had a great friend to play with. Their large backyard was perfect for wearing out the pups. Tired dogs are happy dogs!”

About: I love animals. I am the proud papa of an adult male golden doodle who is the sweetest, well-tempered dog. We recently lost our other golden dood whom we raised since he was a puppy, and now my current boy (and I) could use some company. Whether your dog(s) are in need of a daily walk, a place to stay for an afternoon, or a weekend get-away, we would be happy to have your pup and accommodate whatever needs, no matter how unique, you may have to keep them safe and happy. My wife and I are dog lovers who live in a dog-safe home with the spacious yard. Our dog is very great with other dogs. He's never been aggressive and would happily have a walking buddy/ playmate. With us, you can rest assured that your dog will be safe and happy in our care. We realize how important pets are and cherish making as many new animals friends as possible. Big or small, cuddly or energetic, old or young, friendly or feisty, I will care for your furball as if they're my own, no matter their temperament, age, personality, size, or specialized needs. Please reach out to me if you have questions. I hope to meet you and your furry family. I'm available walk, hang out with, or walk your dog(s) any time, any day of the week. In a typical day, I'll walk my own dog twice, sometimes visit the park, or play in the backyard. I can accommodate/house your pet however you need, any given day or overnight stays. If your dog is okay around other dogs, we can be as flexible as you need to fit you and your pet's schedule. My dog is the sweetest you'll ever meet and he absolutely love other dogs. He is a 7 year-old neutered male goldendoodle, non-aggressive and has never been dominant or territorial. When we go out, he is obedient yet energetic. When at home, he loves relaxing and taking naps. He is friendly with all dogs: big dogs, little dogs, males, females, puppies old timers, and all other dogs in between. We live in a home with a fenced grassy yard and a doggie door. We keep our house very tidy and puppy proofed so they can't get into stuff when they're feeling curious. We also have an unused large crate that your pup is welcome to use if that's what they use at home. I'm nearly always home, and always keep a close eye on them.
“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Genny and her family. Our dog Rocket is a high energy Aussie who can be a lot to handle occasionally. However, Genny cared for him with lots of patience and compassion. Also, their dog Shay is a total sweetheart and great playmate. We received the perfect amount of pics and videos daily, which we really appreciated since we missed our boy a ton. He came home happy and tired :)”

About: I am happy to work on training if you want me to. I trained my dog for hunting back in the day; he mostly turned out to be a well trained cuddler. We can talk about this for an extra charge if you like. I use positive reinforcement with treats and am a firm believer in the clicker method. I am happy to provide medications to for your dog as well. My dog, Micky, is 9 and takes multiple as he has allergies and hypothyroidism. I only work part time from home and also only have my son part time, so I will have plenty of time to keep your pup company and take care of him/her! I have a large fenced yard, am 2 or 3 houses away from a park, and have mountains just up the street for doggy hikes. I also have a fenced and locked pool area. Let me know if you allow your dog to take a dip and I will happily let them in as long as they are not super muddy. Of course, no dogs or small humans are allowed in the pool unsupervised. There is no access to it either without a key.
“Adam was great with our dog Scout. She can be a little shy and has a few quirks but they were great at being patient with her and going at her pace. By the end of her stay when we picked her up she was clearly very happy and comfortable! Would definitely book with them again.”

“Alison and her daughter did a wonderful job with Izzy! We did a 6 night boarding with them. They made sure she felt right at home and is fully loved and taken care of. Izzy played and got along with their puppy Bruce. The family updated us with cute pictures and updates on how’s she is doing. We will definitely have to do boarding with them or set up a play date. Thank you for taking care of Izzy. 🥰🥰”

“Kathy was great with our girl. We got pictures and updates while we were away and she didn't have several dogs at once, which we prefer. Will definitely book with Kathy again.”

“Katie took care of our golden doodle Lucy with love and care. This was her first time boarded outside our home but their dogs played with Lucy well. Lucy was so happy after loosing her buddy Benz our chocolate lab 8 months ago. She sent us photos of our Lucy and gave us update so we can relax at our vacation out of state. Will definitely recommend her .”

“We couldn't have asked for a better sitter than Nicole! She took amazing care of our dog for a full week, and leaving was completely stress-free thanks to her. She sent daily photos and updates that kept us smiling and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our pup was so happy and well-loved the entire time. We will definitely be reaching out to Nicole again in the future!”

“Amy was great! Took amazing care of my doggo. Really went the extra mile to make my pup comfortable and safe during her stay. Amy was reliable and flexible. Would definitely recommend her!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
