“Jaimie was able to help me in such a bind! Her quick responses and availability to meet up was so helpful. She has a pup of her own who is sooo sweet and made my dog a sleepy girl when I got her back. Jaimie was so flexible with pickup and drop off time. She is an amazing sitter!”

“Leah and James took wonderful care of Oso while we traveled for a week. They sent photos or videos daily and updates about how he was doing with their dog and other dogs who visited. They gave him lots of love, play time and exercise and he came home healthy, happy and tired. Also a first for us with any boarding or Rover - he came home pretty clean! Usually he’s coated in slobber after staying anywhere, so it was a nice surprise he actually smelled good when he came home.”

“Stefany was awesome. My dog Harley loved it. I appreciated the fun and at random times, photos of him playing. I would totally use her again of she let us. Thanks Stefany.”
“Mayne and her family took great care of my pup. Communication was quick and easy and we got lots of pictures! It was clear from those pictures that our dog felt at home with Mayne and her family. She was loved and cared for 100% during her stay. Can't recommend Mayne more, and we will definitely become one of her regulars!”

“Matti was great! Our puppy started out shy as he hadn't had much contact with other dogs. We were worried that he wouldn't be comfortable with the 3 Chihuahua that Matti has. But, Matti has made it possible and our puppy fit in just fine and seemed to enjoy other dogs' company in the end. Thank you, Matti for taking good care of our puppy while we were out of town! We will surely look for Matti again on our next vacation.”

“Lane and her family were amazing. She provided regular updates and pics of the dogs. She was honest, trustworthy and made me comfortable about leaving my dogs with her. Thanks Lane!”

“Tami and family were awesome for our Scout. Tami sent photos each day and kept us closely informed with how things were going. Scout came back super happy and relaxed after her four night stay at the cozy family home. Thanks again and would definitely recommend!”

“Lindsey sent me pictures everyday letting me know my doggo was safe and happy. I almost questioned how much Quinn wanted to come home. I'd have to say that takes alot with how spoiled she is at home. Thanks Lindsey for being a great sitter for Quinn!”

“Michelle was great. So nice, very accommodating with my plans changing, and took great care of our pups! Our lab came home all tuckered out from playing with her dog, exactly what we were hoping for!”

“Sharon was amazing with our dog Rolo. It was his first time being left but Sharon made us feel so much better . She sent us lots of pictures and updates. When we picked him up we knew right away that she took such good care of him.”

“Lisa was great. She gave us regular updates and photos. Our dog seemed happy, loved and well cared for. We weren't sure if she wanted to come home with us or stay with Lisa and the other dogs friends. Thanks for taking such good care of our baby!”

“I cannot move on from how awesome Sasha and her family were to my sweet Pep. They have the most welcoming home and were attentive to Pepper — who had the time of her life with them! Thank you Sasha!!”

“I was very impressed! I got pictures and videos consistently which made me feel at ease the whole time! I would use again for sure! They were even flexible with our pick up day which I appreciated immensely!”

“This was our first time using Karesa’s services and we are very happy with her! When we picked up our pups from her home they were exhausted which means they got plenty of exercise and play time. We arranged a meet and greet beforehand and her whole family came out to meet us and our puppies, which I thought was pretty cool. We will be using them again!”

“Fantastic caretaker! Communication was excellent from start to finish—constant updates, photos, and check-ins that truly made me feel comfortable and reassured. My dog looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for in every picture. Professional, dependable, and genuinely kind. I’ll definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy
I can’t recommend Charity enough! We had to leave our goldendoodle, Buddy, with a new sitter for five nights, and I was definitely a little nervous since it was our first time leaving him with someone new for that long. She completely exceeded every expectation. From day one, she kept us updated with the sweetest photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was obvious Buddy was being genuinely loved, getting plenty of exercise, and having the best time playing with the other dogs. Seeing how happy and comfortable he was made it so much easier to enjoy our trip. She’s incredibly professional, flexible, communicative, and so easy to work with. We were so impressed that we already booked her again for our next trip before we even picked Buddy up! If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, I highly, highly, highly recommend her. Buddy can’t wait to go back!

Seini took very good care of our 16 month old Quinn. Quinn Loved running around in the large fenced yard. Seini has a lot of experience taking care of dogs, and that made me feel comfortable about leaving our Quinn with her. Will definitely use Seini in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
