SERVICES We offer dog boarding 7 days a week in our home. We require a meet-and-greet for all new clients prior to accepting a booking request. Currently we are not boarding the following dog breeds: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Husky, Standard German Shepherd, Doberman, Presa Canario, Wolfdog, Tosa Inu, American Bulldog, Mastiff, Bull Terriers, Boxer. EXPERIENCE We've cared for very small pups, to large breed adults in a variety of life stages. We accept dogs under 1 year as long as they are potty trained. Our backyard is fully fenced with a covered patio. The door leading to that patio has a doggie door that allows our canine friends to come in and out as they need (doggie door closed and locked when we aren't home or when clients request it not be used). We also have a ramp from our low height deck/patio (see in photos - deck is 18" high) that our elderly dogs used when they could no longer go up and down stairs. We take crate trained and non-crate trained dogs for sleeping at night and will accommodate whatever sleeping arrangement your dog is used to. We have included pictures of our front and backyard as well as the neighborhood and park in our gallery. SCHEDULE A few days each week, during the school year, I teach at a local elementary school just minutes from our home for short durations (45min classes). We are home full-time on the weekends. During the summer I am home full time. We have lots of time to play and go for leashed walks and jogs around the neighborhood or to the park just down the street. Your dog will receive at least one walk or jog (dependent on your dog's needs) per day.

SAFETY In addition to the insurance that Rover offers every booked dog, we also carry additional coverage through Pet Sitters Associates LLC. Our backyard is fully fenced and the one gate we have remains locked at all times. Inside our home, we use baby gates to close off our TV room and hallway that accesses our bedrooms, as well as stairs leading to our basement. While we are home, your pup is allowed to be wherever we are. So if we are in the TV room watching a movie at night, dogs will be allowed to join us and snuggle on couch if desired. If we have to leave your dog for a short period of time, we will close all gates so that your pup is limited to our main great room area which has hardwood flooring, that way any potty accidents are easily cleaned up. When we have dogs from more than one family, we always separate during feeding time so that each dog has their own space in the house.

Information Charity & Erik V. would like to know about your pet
It is important we know how your pup does on leash when approached by other dogs and people, so we can ensure your dog's safety as well as the safety of other dogs and people we might encounter when out in the neighborhood. We would also appreciate info on if your dog has any dislikes for loud household sounds like vacuums, blenders, etc. We are very experienced in administering meds, as both of our senior dogs had daily oral and topical medications prior to passing away. If your dog requires medication support, we appreciate lots of info and tips for what works best for them for administration. We often board more than one dog simultaneously, as such, we'd appreciate honest information regarding your dog's temperament prior to any meet-and-greets to ensure a good match for all.
A typical day
We enjoy going on leashed walks and runs in our neighborhood every morning as well as to the nearby park, where there is a large open grassy area as well as fully enclosed tennis courts where we love playing fetch off leash. We can alter our walks and jogs to fit the amount of activity that your dog needs (short/long, slow/fast). When it's rainy, or too hot outside, we enjoy playing chase and tug in our open main level.

Pet care experience
***We require a meet-and-greet in our home prior to accepting new client booking requests. This cannot take place at the same time as boarding drop off. There are also some breeds we are currently not accepting (listed below under services). Thanks!*** Our family of four (2 teenage boys) has always had dogs, over 23 years now. We started boarding dogs with Rover August 2022 after our 16 year old Welsh Cardigan Corgi passed away in 2021, and then our 12 year old Pyrenees/Retriever mix in 2022. We have had a BLAST caring for so many canine friends, as well as making lots of human friends in the process. We still felt a hole in our hearts, and knew we wanted our own dog. After looking for quite a while, we found our perfect dog! In February 2023 we adopted a female Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix, her name is Callisto. She is such a sweet girl, who loves playing with all of our other dog friends who stay with us, but is also able to adapt to friends who might not be so playful. You can find out more about her below. SERVICES We offer dog sitting 7 days a week in our home, we truly treat your dog as if they were our own. Reviews

We always trust our Bernedoodle with this lovely fam. They send pics and videos while we are gone. Our dog always comes home happy from their home! We know he’s in the best hands always! Thank you V. fam!

My pups love staying with Charity and Erik. We know that they are well cared for, and having fun with friends.

Charity and Erik did great with Annie, she had a good time playing with other dogs and going for walks. They update with lots of pictures and videos.

This was the BEST Rover experience! Charity and Erik are incredible. We are visiting Utah for an extended stay and needed some help with our little girl, Daisy, while we are here. Daisy had the time of her life. She met some new friends and had so much fun. Charity and Erik love dogs and it shows from the minute you meet them. Their house is completely set up to accommodate dogs and for them to be part of their family. They take them on walks and they get lots of outdoor and play time. We loved that there were a few other dogs for Daisy to play with. They also communicated very well. We got lots of pictures daily of Daisy and it was great to see how much fun she was having. It was an incredible experience for us. We are very discerning when it comes to our fur baby and we were absolutely blown away with the care and our experience! A huge thank you!!!
