“Justine was so great with Shiloh! She sent us pictures and a video, and Shiloh was having the time of her life with her pups. She was quick to respond, and I would highly recommend!”

“Ivette was wonderful with our dogs, Finn and Stella! She provided daily check-ins with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dogs truly thrived in her family home environment and came back happy and relaxed. Pickup was easy and seamless. The whole experience was effortless. We will definitely have Ivette watch our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.”

“I was in desperate need of finding a sitter for my pup. Everywhere was booked but Sarah was able to watch him which I am extremely grateful for! She was very communicative throughout the entire process. She is very friendly and has a beautiful spacious area. I felt stress-free my entire vacation because she would send photos & videos of my pup. He looked like he had such a great time with Sarah! I would highly recommend her and definitely am considering rebooking.”

“Sharon watched my Shih Tzu. She’s a bit older and a little more high maintenance. Sharon was so kind and patient with her and understanding that she may take extra care and extra time. She sent me pictures and made me feel so much better about having to leave my pup with someone!”

“Karlie was amazing, I have a very hard time trusting who I leave my baby Nova with. Karlie updated me multiple times throughout the day and Nova looked like she had nothing but a good time with her and her family. If I ever need someone to watch Nova again I’m definitely going with her!”

“Genny did fantastic with Bear! We had a meet and greet and all the pups got along well. Her family watched Bear for an extended amount of time and I received a plethora of pictures daily. He looked like he was having a great time. 5 stars. Will use again for sure if I’m in the area. Thanks again”

She is amazing, and definitely would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Lyndi!! ✨”

“Our puppy Snow had an absolutely magical week with Julie and her very sweet family. Our dog is decidedly a low-energy, low-maintenance pup who loves attention and affection, and she had that in abundance during her week with Julie and her fam. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Midvale
Heather accommodated our dog on short notice during a family emergency, and we couldn't be more grateful. She took exceptional care of our dog, including administering her medication multiple times throughout the day. Her kindness, flexibility, and attentiveness gave us tremendous peace of mind during a very difficult time. We highly recommend Heather and would gladly trust her with our pet again.

We had such a great experience with Jennifer! She took amazing care of Cashew while we were out of the country, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. She was super communicative the entire time, sending lots of updates and photos, which we really appreciated. Cashew eats The Farmer’s Dog, so his meals are a little more involved than just scooping kibble, and Jennifer handled everything perfectly without any issues. It was also so nice knowing he was in such a loving home. Cashew and Jasper got along so well, and it was obvious he was having a great time. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, and that’s all we could ask for. We’re so grateful for how well she cared for him and would absolutely book with Jennifer again. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, reliable, communicative, and genuinely loves dogs, we can’t recommend her enough!

Super adaptable to my situation and really kind to work with. Real human to human communication and so much compassion. Between her and her daughter I never once worried if my kitty was in the wrong hands. So grateful and glad to have the opportunity to work with her ✨

Seini took very good care of our 16 month old Quinn. Quinn Loved running around in the large fenced yard. Seini has a lot of experience taking care of dogs, and that made me feel comfortable about leaving our Quinn with her. Will definitely use Seini in the future.

Juliana was amazing with Molly! She kept me updated the entire time and sent me lots of pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Molly was very well cared for, and I could tell she was in great hands. I would definitely book with Juliana again and highly recommend her 😊

Matti was great! Our puppy started out shy as he hadn't had much contact with other dogs. We were worried that he wouldn't be comfortable with the 3 Chihuahua that Matti has. But, Matti has made it possible and our puppy fit in just fine and seemed to enjoy other dogs' company in the end. Thank you, Matti for taking good care of our puppy while we were out of town! We will surely look for Matti again on our next vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
