I work from home Monday-Friday. I fit in a dog walk during work and then playtime after work. A tired dog is a happy dog! I've had to leave town unexpectedly and stressed out about where I was going to leave my dog. I want to take that stress off of your shoulders and reassure you that I truly love dogs so much that the whole reason I signed up for rover.com was to prevent me from adopting ALL the dogs. I'll love your baby as much as I love my own.

Safety, trust & environment
My backyard is fenced and we have a doggy door. That's ok if your pup isn’t used to one. Goose is a pretty good teacher and I’m around to let them out if needed. I try and stick to what you do at your home. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I won’t allow them at my house. We have baby gates to prevent them from roaming downstairs unattended.

Information Heather H. would like to know about your pet
As stated above, I’m happy to try and accommodate any rules you have at your house at my house to keep them consistent. Scheduled meals and portion sizes are good for me to know along with any restrictions (treats, furniture, toys, etc) or medications they may need.
A typical day
Goose and I take daily walks in the neighborhood and then usually go play at the rec center down the street. He LOVES catch. On the weekends, we will venture to Tanner Park, Memory Grove, or the dog park to get some wiggles out.

Work-from-home dog lover!
Pet care experience
My name is Heather and I've had dogs my whole life. I currently have a black lab named Goose. He's 5 years old and LOVES to have a friend to play with. I work from home so lunch is usually spent walking dogs. I have a fenced backyard that is accessed by a doggy door so there's plenty of room to play. My motto with dog watching is I treat the animals as if they were my own. I know it can be tough leaving your baby behind so I'm happy to send updates/pictures as often or as little as you like. I also know how important structure and routines are for some pups.
Reviews

Heather did a wonderful job caring for our dog. She sent updates and cute photos. She administered medications twice per day. We are very grateful!

Heather accommodated our dog on short notice during a family emergency, and we couldn't be more grateful. She took exceptional care of our dog, including administering her medication multiple times throughout the day. Her kindness, flexibility, and attentiveness gave us tremendous peace of mind during a very difficult time. We highly recommend Heather and would gladly trust her with our pet again.

Our pup loves staying with Heather! She’s fantastic :)

kind, communicative. Wonderful experience
