“Our pooches loved staying with Silvana and we were kept up to date with texts and photos showing Maurice and Oli having fun! We would recommend Silvana 100%- her doggy daycare is wonderful. Thank you for providing them with so much fun, live and care!!”

“My dog is eager walking in Matti’s door when I drop her off, which is an obvious sign to me that she enjoys her stays there! I am also so appreciative of accommodations with last-minute requests as my work schedule changes abruptly. Lastly, transparency is a priority for Matti and that’s huge for me. Highly recommend! :)”

“Genny is terrific! I requested her services last min and lucky for Hank and I she was available! Hank had a great time with her dog and was very tired from playing. She sent pictures and had great communication. I recommend Genny completely and will have her watch Hank again.”

About: Experience/Qualifications: General Dog Care: - Dogsitter with compensated/professional experience providing dog care services from 2014-present - Dog owner (11 years of experience as an adult as primary/sole caregiver for a dog, additional dog care experience having family dogs growing up) Dog foster experience (13 months): - From 2020-2021, I volunteered as a foster home for dogs through a local animal foster/rescue organization. During this period, I fostered six dogs. - I provided a stable/stress-free home environment as well as behavioral/obedience training work (leash walking, crate training, potty training, obedience commands, etc) to address/resolve behavioral issues and encourage socialization skills to help dogs become adopted successfully. Clinical/volunteer experience (3 years) as a pre-vet undergraduate student: - I accrued 300+ volunteer hours working with dogs/cats in various vet clinics/hospitals, ASPCA, and animal rescue organizations. - I acquired 2 semesters of mentored clinical experience, receiving formal training from a licensed veterinarian, for academic credit (i.e., in a strictly graded/performance-evaluated environment). I was trained to perform tasks similar in complexity to vet technicians’ responsibilities (e.g. physical examinations, administering oral/injected medications, parasitic diagnostic lab testing, assisting with neuter/spay surgeries and dental cleaning, surgical procedure anesthesia monitoring, assisted X-ray diagnostic imaging, owner-requested euthanasia). I currently work in a fully remote position. My weekday routine consists of 1-2 walks between meetings during the workday, in addition to morning and evening walks. During the week, I generally take the dogs on walks in my neighborhood, with occasional longer walks at different dog friendly parks. On weekends/holidays (weather permitting), I occasionally visit places like Wheeler Farm, Crestwood Park, or other local parks. Alternatively, when I have more free time over the weekend, I enjoy going on short (1-3 mile) hikes with my dog. - I have a small fenced backyard, although I don't ever leave dogs I'm taking care of in the backyard unattended. - I keep dogs physically separated from each other during any periods of time where I will not be home. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs when I am not physically present to supervise. This protects against even the most unlikely minor disagreement between dogs that could happen over toys or food, which could quickly escalate into a fight where a dog gets injured. - If there are multiple dogs present that are unfamiliar with each other, I make gradual introductions between unfamiliar dogs, remove possible sources for contention (I.e., food/treats sitting out, toys, etc.), and supervise all play/interaction while they are adjusting to each other. - If I need to leave to run an errand, I never leave them unattended for a period of more than several hours (or less depending on the individual dog's needs).
“Andrea was amazing! She picked up my dog and dropped him off for me because I was very overwhelmed that day. My dog felt comfortable to her fast and she was just awesome! Thanks again Andrea for everything ❤️”

“Amber was kind patient and attentive to our two frenchies. She is an experienced pet sitter and listens to your details with an active attitude. She has all the things a healthy happy pup could want from toys to a yard to safety gates and fuzzy beds. We appreciate that she was flexible on last minute pick up changes. Thank you Amber!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 5 years of different breeds and sizes. Overnight stays, feeding, walking, playing, bathing and taking them to parks I am currently working from home wake up before 6 AM every morning. My line of work is very flexible giving me plenty of time to play, walk, potty breaks and feed dogs. After work often going on walks or to parks and even just at home relaxing. I have 2 kids, no animals. We have a park outside our front door and a dog area not far up in our complex. I will always have your dog leased in open area. I do not like kennels and will rarely use one unless prompted to by you.
“Heather was great! Our dog came home happy and tired. She did a great job with introducing the dogs so they were comfortable around each other. Will be a repeat client!”

“Rudy’s stay over three days for doggy daycare at Jennifer’s worked out great. She was really accommodating and attentive, and set up the environment to keep him safe and engaged. For example, she set up a little pool during the hot days, and provided toys. Her dog Jasper was a great play buddy for Rudy, which helped with the separation anxiety. I felt good about leaving Rudy in her care, and highly recommend Jennifer for daycare for your pup.”

“Benjamin was excellent with our dogs! He has a great back yard with a tall fence that was perfect for our high energy boys. Benjamin was super flexible with our pick up and drop off times. Highly recommend 🐕🐾”

“Jennifer was a wonderful dog sitter. She watched my dog for three days and every day she took the dog on hikes and walks with other dogs. My dog loved visiting and Jennifer and her family were very kind and flexible in accommodating my schedule.”

“It's hard to evaluate a Rover experience based on just one stay so I will wait until there's a few more before I do. However I can say that Seini was professional in the Meet and Greet, and came across in the 2 times I met her, with a kind and affectionate regard for dogs. That means a lot to me, and I look forward to using her services in the future.”

“Jaina was amazing! She was ready when I arrived to her house, introduced her two dogs to my baby and to me and also allowed me hang out with them for a couple of minutes to see her backyard and make sure Kyoho was going to be okay. Jaina followed the instructions I gave her and returned the bag with Kyoho’s stuff, as it was given to her (except for the food and treats lol). During the day she kept me updated, sent me pictures and even a video! I am very happy Kyoho got to spend the day with a loving family ❤️ will definitely rebook!!”

“It is such a relief when Jennifer sent a video of my lab running around her backyard with her labs. Multiple videos and photos sent throughout the day of playing, snacking and napping was great to see. An attentive sitter and a large grassy backyard is just what my dog needs. She passed out within minutes of getting in the car!”

Nicolina was a fantastic sitter for my pup. Lots of communication and a plethora of photos and updates throughout the day, more than expected. I know I'm bias thinking my pup is a fun guy to have around but I believe she enjoyed caring for him just as much. I would user her again in the future.

My dog is eager walking in Matti’s door when I drop her off, which is an obvious sign to me that she enjoys her stays there! I am also so appreciative of accommodations with last-minute requests as my work schedule changes abruptly. Lastly, transparency is a priority for Matti and that’s huge for me. Highly recommend! :)

Christian and his wife accepted my booking last minute after my original sitter fell through. I'm always nervous dropping my dog off in a new environment but they quickly put my mind at ease with some photos and videos showing my dog settled in and getting along with their pups. They continued to send me updates throughout the day of the dogs playing and going to the park. I was able to have a worry free day and pick up a happy and tired dog at the end of it. Thank you so much!

Lindsay & Spencer stepped up to the plate bigtime when I called on them last minute to watch my fur ball. Thanks to them he was safe and sound and had a stimulating and loving afternoon. I'm so grateful to have found a family with the perfect accommodations. See ya soon again, Lindsay and Spencer!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Midvale commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
