“Lucky, my dog always has great fun at Brooke's, and I feel good knowing he is in great hands! Also, I very much appreciate the flexibility with time, and the generosity of keeping Lucky for long days. Thank you!”

“Justine is awesome and super easy to work with. Muri was well cared for and she had a blast. I’m hoping to continue having Justine care for Muri while I’m at work each week.”

“Amber was awesome, she took great care of Calvin and he had a blast with all the furfriends at her house. She was respectful of his boudaries and followed all care instructions. I'm definitely booking with her again!”

“Jennifer took amazing care of Lavender and provided such cute pictures, videos and updates throughout the day! It's apparent she is such a thoughtful dog lover, and it was such a relief to know Lavender is in such loving care while I am working. Lavender made herself right at home and we've already booked more play time at Jennifer's house!”

“Silvana’s Doggy Day car is the best- our pooches love going to her house- they are mentally and physically stimulated and they love to come back! Thank you for making our ski trip wonderful also for our doggies Silvana!!”

“Maui had such a great time at Jenn’s house! She got along really well with Jenn’s dog, Loki, and they spent lots of time playing in the yard and even went on a hike together. When the afternoon heat picked up, Jenn made sure Maui stayed mentally stimulated with brain games and a snuffle mat, which I really appreciated. It’s clear Jenn genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and puts thought into their care and enrichment. 10/10 — I would absolutely recommend her, and Maui will definitely be back!”

“Pippin LOVES Patrick! Everytime we are getting close and in the neighborhood, Pippin gets super excited and starts "dancing". I get regular updates from Patrick that come with really cute pictures of my sweet boy. Patrick is very nice and very flexible with pick up times. Two days in a row were late pick ups and he was very understanding! Patrick is a great choice for your doggo!”
About: Dogs have been a big part of my life pretty much since I was born. No, really….my parents had a sheep dog named Cassie and as a toddler we were best buddies. Cassie would slide across our kitchen tiled floor and knock into me. I laughed hysterically as I tumbled to the floor and clapped my hands signaling her to do it again! Then, as a preteen, Santa Claus brought a Golden Retriever puppy named Kessler to our home and she claimed me as hers-cuddling up in my bed at night, catching my softballs in the backyard during my practices, and comforting me through all the tough parts that come with growing up. When it was time to start my own family, my husband and I adopted a corgi named Tuff and he became our first “child”. He kept me company during those first years of long nights with babies. After tuff died, Pearl, a one year old Portuguese Water Dog, recently joined our family. She is a best friend not only to me but also my 5 kids who adore her. We are an active family of 7 and Pearl joins us hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, on walks around our neighborhood, and playing catch in the fields and parks by our house. Dogs have been the most loyal, trustworthy, loving, joyful best friends of my life. I have happily taken care of neighbors and friends' dogs over the years. Now that all my kids are in full-day school, I am ready to welcome your furry best friend into our home while you are away. I just ask that your dog be potty trained, kid friendly as well as dog friendly, and hypoallergenic if I am boarding them in my home. I am also available with extremely flexible hours for house calls, potty breaks, and walks for all breeds. I can't wait to Meet you and your furry friend! Our house is located in a family and dog friendly community with numerous parks, dog parks, trails, and even a lake. While you are away, he or she will hardly know that you are gone because they will be so busy having fun and being loved! Dogs are allowed on our furniture and beds. Your dog will receive exercise equal to his wants and needs with plenty of cuddle time in between.
“Curtis and Jennifer are wonderful! They took care of our dog 2 years ago when we went skiing in the canyons. And now again! Lovely to work with. Easy communication. Super flexible and kind. Our dog came back happy and tired! He had a lot of fun!”

“Alexis is the best!! She’s the sweetest and takes amazing care of Stella. She sends updates and my pup comes home tuckered every time they hang out, she’s also a delight to talk to every time I see her. We will be requesting her services again :)”

“Mikelle was amazing! Our high-energy puppy came home every day happy and tired. She was our first Rover sitter and if we return to SLC in the future, we will definitely be booking her again!”

“This was my dog's 2nd week with Amanda and Josh for doggie daycare. He was excited to go see them and play with their dog. They keep me updated on how my dog is doing during the day. They are so loving and kind!”

“Jessica was great. Maggie and Claire could not have had better treatment. I’m surprised they came home with me. I was updated how they were doing and it was obvious they were getting the best of care and plenty of attention. A sleepy dog is always a good sign they had fun at daycare!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy City
Sage was wonderful to our dogs, Teddy and Bear!! They received much needed attention and care and loved playing with her dog! She sent pictures and updates and was attentive to their needs and behaviors. She was also very flexible with our chaotic schedule and easy to work with. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs at her home and felt confident they were treated wonderfully. Would definitely book with her again!

Nicolina was a fantastic sitter for my pup. Lots of communication and a plethora of photos and updates throughout the day, more than expected. I know I'm bias thinking my pup is a fun guy to have around but I believe she enjoyed caring for him just as much. I would user her again in the future.

Nancy and her family were so great caring for our dog for the week. He was obviously very comfortable there. They took him on walks and even sent pictures throughout the week. Very approachable and conversation with them has been great and easy. I would recommend them to watch anyone’s dog. Thanks again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
