“Caroline was so great to our little old man. We went on vacation and she did two drops a day while we were gone and it was great knowing we didn’t have to worry about our pup”

“Alaina has been a great pet sitter. Very attentive with our cats, leaves detailed reviews with photos, and works to accommodate last minute changes/requests. She also helped find and wrangle my rambunctious, door opening cats when they decided to plot their great escape. Thank you Alaina!”

About: My love for animals started practically the day I was born. Growing up, our home was always bustling with pets of all kinds – from big dogs and small dogs to cats, rodents, and even reptiles. I've always been incredibly dedicated to ensuring my animals lead the happiest, healthiest lives possible. My experience also includes caring for pets who needed a bit more attention. For example, when I was ten, I helped look after our bulldog, who was the runt of his litter and had epilepsy. This meant making sure he got his medicine on time and was always comfortable. I also took it upon myself to train our energetic Labrador, who used to jump on guests and pull hard on his leash. I spent time learning about positive training methods, and soon he was walking nicely by my side and greeting people calmly. It's not just dogs either! I've even taught my smaller pets, like rodents, fun tricks such as 'fetch' and how to open and close their cage. My current cats can also do commands like 'spin' and 'jump.' I truly believe that with patience and understanding, any animal can really thrive. In doing so, they also teach us a lot. Animals have a unique way of seeing the world, and sometimes understanding their perspective can give us a fresh outlook on our own lives too. I’m currently working part time as a florist and have some extra time that I’d much rather spend with some new furry friends than at an office job. I visit my best furry friend Cruz, my grandmas dog, every week because if we’re really being honest I’m his favorite person. I mean we even share a birthday! I would love to add some more pets to my weekly routine. My cats are currently yard trained and we have high fences that they have zero interest in scaling. There’s no need to worry about escapes.
“Lyndi provided help at last minute when one of our mischievous kitten Milo escaped his room. Lyndi service was exceptional and provided the emergency call even though it was not part of her services. Thank you Lyndi! Life saver!”

“Meisha did an amazing job caring for our cat Baxter. She is a reliable, communicative sitter. Meisha sent photos and updates at every drop-in and was easy to get a hold of if we had a question. We definitely plan to hire Meisha when we travel again in the future.”

“Nataliia was extremely communicative and loving to our two dogs ! They’re timid and a little difficult to get to go potty for strangers , she was very patient and waited until they got comfortable. We will be trusting her again and again !”

“Eva was so great with our dog! She spent plenty of time with Lilah and was great with communication, always sharing pictures each visit. Would recommend booking Eva!”

About: I've owned and cared for cats and dogs my whole life. I have always had a soft spot for all animals and consider them the purest souls on earth. I believe we each have an individual responsibility to provide the best environment and stimulation for the creatures in our care as we are lucky to be stewards over them for their time with us. It is important to me to provide a fully pet-safe sanitized, comfortable, safe environment for every cat that stays in my hotel. I can't wait to get to know and spend time with your little loves! I am a stay at home mom who is available round the clock to care for your furry best friend! Cat Boarding is my specialty but I have also owned dogs my whole life, both big and small and am ready to play with and walk your pup! I am available for my kitty clients around the clock. I check in on them frequently throughout the day and send pictures and videos daily. Each kitty receives mental stimulation and individual play time (if wanted by them of course) as well as one hour a day of kitty tv. When out on adventures with my dog-walking clients, we will explore different places, spend time sniffing and getting mental stimulation, and end each adventure with some play and snuggles.
“Beth has come now twice to give my dog a potty break during the day and she’s so sweet with her! She sends pictures and videos and makes sure she is well taken care of. Would highly recommend!”

“Sarah was amazing with our family dog. She was patient and calming for him in addition to taking care of his needs. Her care was exceptional and gentle. I recommend her talent in caring for others.”

“Ashlie is so great with our cats and dogs when we are out of town, and she sends prompt updates with great photos! It really helps us relax and not worry while we are gone. Would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

“Hanna is incredible!! She was so patient with our shy kitties, and she was their new best friend after a few days. Excellent communication and organization! We'll definitely use Hanna's services again! Thank you! 😊”
“Sophie has been an absolute blessing. When life throws curveballs, and I need last-minute help with my dog, she’s there—no questions asked. Her reliability during my husband’s deployment has been my saving grace. If you’re looking for a dog walker who’s reliable, professional, trustworthy, and compassionate, Sophie’s your gal.”
“Oakley was amazing! She went above and beyond doing check-ins on my cat (bringing in packages, rolling trash/recycling bins back to the house, etc.). I will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy City
Lyndi is an excellent sitter she took excellent care of my babies while I was out of the country. She followed my instructions and was very helpful with other things like my avocado tree, and she also took the trash out on her last day, which I really appreciated. I won’t be booking with her again on my next trip. :)

Megan was fantastic! She made my cat feel safe and loved on her. She even caught a mistake I had with the insulin needles I ordered and was able to go over an extra time to just check and see how my cat was doing. Megan sent detailed updates and pictures of my cat while I was gone! I will absolutely book Megan in the future and highly suggest you book her for your pets care.

We are so pleased with the care we get from Heaven. Our kitty is very reserved and loves to hide. She isn’t used to company and you would think that her and Heaven were long time buddies. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Heaven. We have booked with her several times now and we can always enjoy our vacation knowing everything is fine at home. Her communication is wonderful and we cannot wait for our next trip.

We headed out to a long vacation and felt completely at peace knowing Sana would be caring for our two kitties. They absolutely love seeing her - rolling over for belly rubs, rubbing their faces on her and and leg (a definite sign of kitty love) ;o) Every day we reviewed her home visit report and looked at the photos she took feeling such gratitude that we could see how well taken care of and happy they were. Thank you Sana!

I have booked with Caroline multiple times for my two cats. I am the type to always worry about my pets while I’m away, but her experience, knowledge, and communication helps put me at ease! Even on my longest trips, I know they’re always well taken care of! Thank you Caroline!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sandy City. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
