Pet care experience
I have loved animals since I was a little girl. My goals have always been to be a caregiver for them. I have spent my whole life taking care of my own pets. I have spent many years volunteering and working at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the Humane Society of Utah, many different veterinary clinics, doggy daycares and now at the west valley city animal shelter. While working have learned the importance of daily exercise, cleaning, and feeding our pets the proper food. I have many years of experience dog and cat sitting and dog walking for others. I love caring for animals and helping them have the best experience possible while their families are away. I am excited to get to know you and your pets!

I have had the opportunity to observe Makayla working with animals over the last several years, and can I just say, her passion and love for animals is her motivating drive to provide the upmost care and professionalism with the animals she works with. Makayla gives a great effort in trying to understand animal behavior to help her better communicate with, and address the needs of animals in her care. I fully trust her mental and physical capabilities to not become frustrated or irritated, but instead be patient with the animals she cares for. I would highly recommend Makayla to anyone looking for someone that will provide these professional characteristics and more in regards to animal care.
Makayla has helped care for our dog & home, off and on, for the past 4 years. She is perfectly suited for this job, as she is very attentive to a dogs' needs and seems to intuitively know exactly what they need to be happy and comfortable in their different activities. She has a unique ability to show them compassion without allowing them to misbehave or develop difficult habits to break. We always knew we could count on her to be responsible, show up on time, give all of her attention to our puppy and communicate promptly with us if there were ever any concerns (unfortunately our dog died last year of old age... or we would have already booked her for this summer, as well!). We are forever indebted to her for loving our Turbo so well & completely in our absence. This has allowed us to relax and to be able to go & enjoy some very much needed family time and vacations. It was so comforting to know that our dog and our home were in such capable and responsible hands. We trust her with our most prized possessions and fully recommend her to you or anyone. And if that wasn't enough.... she also has the very best smile and laugh around!
Makayla is THE BEST! She has dog sat our russell terrier in our home countless times over the past few years. She is 100% trustworthy and is always excited for the opportunity to spend time with our fur baby. Makayla is very responsible and has ensured my dog is always loved and well cared for when we are out of town. She takes him on walks and has "movie" nights with him. She spends time with him, so he doesn't get lonely! She even sends pics of their time together! She loves animals and will care for them better than anyone I know. I would HIGHLY recommend Makayla!
