“Nataliia is such a wonderful pet sitter! She is always so attentive to our kitties, gives them lots of love and attention. One my kitties had a cut on his chin before our trip and she went above and beyond to take pictures and check on it daily for us to make sure there were no signs of infection. We are so grateful and relieved to know theyre in good hands while we are away!”

It’s the ideal way for me to enjoy my summer while taking care of your furry friends! I prioritize safety and trust by ensuring a calm, pet-friendly environment. “After having trouble deciding what to do, we were blessed to find Sandi. This was our first time leaving our cat and we couldn't have found a better person to watch over her. Our cat tends to be shy and wants to stay away from people, but in the short time Sandi watched over her, our cat quickly got attached to Sandi. We loved all the pictures we got while we were away. Thank you for taking care of our little Sammy.”

“Ashlie and Tyson took the best care of our kitty. They were so caring and attentive with everything and gave her the best snuggles while we were gone. We will definitely be using them again. Thank you!”

“Mabel has been fantastic with our two high energy pups! She sends us tons of pictures and the pups are always happily sleeping in their crates after she leaves.”

“Laynee was so great with our cat! It was our first time leaving him alone for more than 2 days and Laynee was very communicative and attentive. We came home to a happy and healthy kitty :)”

“Kelly & Brian were amazing sitters! They took great care of our 2 cats when we were away. They sent many pictures and made sure the home with perfect for our furbabies! Definitely will be using their services again!”

About: I have three dogs of my own, two Aussie mixes and one Yorkie mix, so I’m very used to lots of energy and personality. I used to train my oldest dog in agility and loved it, and I’ve been the go‑to dog sitter for my aunt’s friends, family and neighbors. I also worked at a doggy daycare and absolutely adored all the pups there. Dogs are honestly my safe place; I feel happiest and most myself when I’m around them. I love taking them on hikes, neighborhood walks, lake days, and playing fetch, and I always make sure they get plenty of outside time and attention. I treat every dog like my own and want you to feel totally comfortable trusting me with your best friend. I’ve taken care of all kinds of pups, from tiny puppies and seniors to a sweet three‑legged dog, so I’m used to different needs and energy levels. I’m working Monday–Friday, 8–3, from May 5th to June 25th, and then I’m free any time during the week. I can do walks, drop-ins, and house sitting around my work schedule now, and I’m wide open all day on Saturdays and Sundays. We always go to a park or around the neighborhood for walks and playtime. I care for pets in my clients’ homes by sticking to their normal routine and following all instructions for walks, feeding, and meds. I make sure they have fresh water, a clean area, lots of attention, and I send updates and photos. I also treat my clients’ homes with respect and always lock up and tidy before I leave.
“Jaina was great! You can tell she takes her job seriously and that she seriously likes cats haha. She watched our two kitties while we were out and I'll be sure to use her again in the future.”

About: I’ve loved dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have had pets for most of my life. I have experience caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as pets belonging to family members. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I will always care for them with patience, kindness, and attention. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility to care for pets. I’m available for house sitting on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I’m also available during the daytime on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. My availability varies on weekends, but I always keep my Rover calendar updated so you can see when I’m available. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and loving care. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions and routine. I make sure pets have fresh water, meals on time, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep doors and gates secure, maintain a clean and safe environment, and send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Alecia was very responsive and gave us peace of mind while caring for our puppy, who needed extra supervision and attention at his age. We appreciated the photos and updates!”

About: I have a lot of hands on experience with cats from volunteering and the humane society. I’ve learned how to read their body language, love figuring out what kind of toys they like to play with, giving them love and attention, and I’m not afraid of the litter box. I currently work full time, but I work remote and have a flexible schedule. I would be able to come over for however long is needed to spend time with your fur baby. I have 2 cats at home and I rent, so I cannot board at my house. However, I will use whatever you have available and whatever your pet likes at your house to help take care of your fur baby! I pay great attention to detail and make sure I get the job done in a way you and your pet will love.
“Oakley was amazing! She went above and beyond doing check-ins on my cat (bringing in packages, rolling trash/recycling bins back to the house, etc.). I will definitely be booking her again in the future!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Granite
Marta was an EXCEPTIONAL sitter with our cat Mittens. She took such good care of her during our vacation: the photos she sent and the daily updates showed how well she was taken care of and I was more than reassured. The family and I felt like it was the best care she ever received. Marta is so friendly, warm, responsible, punctual, and great with our cat. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a sitter for their special pet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marta!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
