About: You want a sitter who follows your rules, doesn't get overwhelmed, and genuinely enjoys the quirks of your pets. That’s my sweet spot. With 20 years of experience, I’ve seen it all—from high-energy dogs who need a solid hike to burn off the zoomies, to sweet seniors who just need a gentle pace and their meds on time. I’m big on routine, clear communication, and respecting your space. Your pets get a reliable companion; you get total peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and being active. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets attention, consistency, companionship, exercise, and personalized care throughout the day. I enjoy creating, fun, positive experiences for pets whether that means walks, playtime, relaxing companionship, check-ins, enrichment activities, or simply helping them stick to their normal routine while their owners are away or busy. I also love to go on hikes close by and running those really active pups. I treat every pet like an individual and make time to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. A typical day with me is calm, flexible, and tailored to your pet’s personality and energy level. Some pets want adventure, enrichment, and outdoor time, while others are happiest with companionship, routine, cuddles, and a relaxed environment. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while keeping owners updated with communication and photos. Depending on your pet’s needs, visits can include walks, playtime, enrichment activities, feeding, medication support, potty breaks, relaxing companionship, or outings for extra stimulation and exercise. I’m especially patient with shy pets, seniors, and animals who need extra reassurance or consistency. I believe pets do best when they feel understood instead of rushed or stressed. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for owners, and care that feels personal instead of one-size-fits-all.
About: I love animals. I have been caring for them for years and find joy in making sure they are happy. It is my first priority to care for your pet in the way you prefer. I am punctual and excited to meet new pets that I can care for. I’m an independent contractor which means I get to create my schedule. Luckily for me, this means I can pick up different side hustles at whatever times I want. I already do cardio everyday by walking so this would fit perfectly into my routine. Whatever rules or expectations the owner wants, I will take with great care, caution, and intention. The safety of your pet and the respect of your home is of utmost importance to me.
“Lyndi is the best of the best. Both of our dogs took to her immediately. She is great at communication and has really made our experience on rover amazing. 10/10 recommend!”

“Audreylee & Austin are amazing, second time having them back. Our cat warmed up to them immediately, and they are dependable and great people. Will definitely use again. Thank you!!!”

About: I, with the help of my 3 kids and husband, have fostered animals through the Humane Society of Utah several times, simply because we LOVE animals and my children have BEGGED for animals to care for! I grew up with dogs and cats. We really enjoy both dogs and cats! I had a small dog (Yorkie) for 12 years. When my dog was a puppy I took him to a dog training school where I learned how to handle him, get him to mind, sit, walk on a leash, and behave around other dogs and people. I also learned how to do his grooming/teeth care. He was my little companion for 12 years but he passed away in 2020. We have no other pets right now. I have watched friends'/family's pets several times while they were on trips. I'm comfortable administering medication to animals and taking care of senior animals, and those who need time/space to warm up to us and their new environment. For nervous animals, we take it slow and give them space. I love figuring out what makes your pet happy and doing that for them. I'm a stay-at-home mom with 3 children. I often go on a walk in the morning for a hour. Your dog would be a welcome addition! I'm available on most weekdays and weekends. If I take care of your pet, I may run errands or run my kids to activities but will return home within a few hours. I usually spend most of the day at home. Your pet will have a lot of attention and love and won’t be left alone for long stretches of time. We love to care for animals, but we love to have fun with them!! We love taking dogs on walks, playing fetch, and making obstacle courses (nothing dangerous, haha) for them in the fenced backyard. We like cuddling with pets and giving them food/water and treats. (If allowed by the owner.) We love to see animals happy, healthy, and having fun. My children are sweet, good-natured, and excited to have animals to love and care for. I teach them that sometimes animals need to take breaks and rest, like people. And other times they are ready to play and get exercise. I am always attentive to my children and the animals in our care. Dogs, if they prefer, can be in our fenced backyard during the day. My children will love to play fetch with your dog, or include your dog in imaginative play. Or if the dog prefers to be near me, I will let them follow me around the house during the day, or stay on a dog bed in our main family room. I can easily crate a dog if needed as well. At night, if the dog/cat prefers it, and we feel comfortable as well, your pet can curl up and sleep on a bed with a family member at night. I would keep fresh water, food, and a dog/cat bed out at all times. (Unless instructed otherwise by the owner on feeding.) At night, if it is a good fit for the dog, I would put the dog in our large bathroom on the main floor at night with their food/water and dog bed. They would be in there from 11 pm until 7:30 am. I would let them outside for potty breaks each morning first thing and throughout the day. Cats would be able to play and lounge around the main family room during the day. I would keep kitty litter, food, and water in our large bathroom, which they would have access to throughout the day. At night I would keep the cat in the large bathroom on their cat bed or towels.
“Once again, I was able to go on vacation with full peace of mind, knowing that my babies are in the best hands possible. I have 5 pets of all ages and personalities, and they all require there special handling, Ashley caters to their needs, including administering meds, temperments and pampering. She'll even take care of plants if required! If you want the best worry free care for your babies, she's the one!”

“Beth has come now twice to give my dog a potty break during the day and she’s so sweet with her! She sends pictures and videos and makes sure she is well taken care of. Would highly recommend!”

About: For your first time booking, you can get $20 off for using my link! https://www.rover.com/sit/maynel84964 We are a pet loving family. My kids are always asking to help out. I've had all kinds of pets throughout my life, besides dogs I've had a cat, ferrets, cockatiel, lovebirds, fish, am Amazon parrot and rabbits. I'm always trying to save baby birds I've found on my yard. We love watching your fur babies for either a day, overnight or several days and getting to know them. My kids always ask about them and have learned so much. We love it so much when they come back. They become family to us and we are so excited to meet more. My husband works from home and I work part-time so your pups get snuggles all day long. Either in the morning or evening we go on long walks. We have a 1/4 acre property with a huge backyard that is connected to the front so your fur baby can run around on it freely. We watch 3 dogs max because we love giving them one-on-one attention. If you prefer your dog be the only one, we can make arrangements. We have no problem with that. We have baby/pet gates in case we get a very playful dog and one that wants to keep it to themselves.
“She was so sweet and attentive to my girl Frankie! Always on time and always willing to help with what I needed her to do for Frankie!! Thank you!! Good communication with me!”

About: I've owned and cared for cats and dogs my whole life. I have always had a soft spot for all animals and consider them the purest souls on earth. I believe we each have an individual responsibility to provide the best environment and stimulation for the creatures in our care as we are lucky to be stewards over them for their time with us. It is important to me to provide a fully pet-safe sanitized, comfortable, safe environment for every cat that stays in my hotel. I can't wait to get to know and spend time with your little loves! I am a stay at home mom who is available round the clock to care for your furry best friend! Cat Boarding is my specialty but I have also owned dogs my whole life, both big and small and am ready to play with and walk your pup! I am available for my kitty clients around the clock. I check in on them frequently throughout the day and send pictures and videos daily. Each kitty receives mental stimulation and individual play time (if wanted by them of course) as well as one hour a day of kitty tv. When out on adventures with my dog-walking clients, we will explore different places, spend time sniffing and getting mental stimulation, and end each adventure with some play and snuggles.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sandy Hills
Kelly & Brian were fantastic with our kitty. They send great updates and pictures every day. We really knew they were providing excellent care. Brian took the time to come meet our cat before we left and we were able to walk through all of our cat's routines and needs. It was very clear that they not only love what they do, but are very knowledgeable about animals and their care. We came home to a very happy cat and a quiet, clean, home environment. We highly recommend them and will 100% contact them again in the future.

We are so pleased with the care we get from Heaven. Our kitty is very reserved and loves to hide. She isn’t used to company and you would think that her and Heaven were long time buddies. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Heaven. We have booked with her several times now and we can always enjoy our vacation knowing everything is fine at home. Her communication is wonderful and we cannot wait for our next trip.

Nataliia is such a wonderful pet sitter! She is always so attentive to our kitties, gives them lots of love and attention. One my kitties had a cut on his chin before our trip and she went above and beyond to take pictures and check on it daily for us to make sure there were no signs of infection. We are so grateful and relieved to know theyre in good hands while we are away!

I was so concerned about leaving my 1 year old kitty alone while we went on a five day trip. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah she came twice a day for one hour each time and sent pictures showing how my kitty was doing. After the first day my concerns were gone. I will definitely use Sarah again the next time we need a sitter.

We headed out to a long vacation and felt completely at peace knowing Sana would be caring for our two kitties. They absolutely love seeing her - rolling over for belly rubs, rubbing their faces on her and and leg (a definite sign of kitty love) ;o) Every day we reviewed her home visit report and looked at the photos she took feeling such gratitude that we could see how well taken care of and happy they were. Thank you Sana!

I have booked with Caroline multiple times for my two cats. I am the type to always worry about my pets while I’m away, but her experience, knowledge, and communication helps put me at ease! Even on my longest trips, I know they’re always well taken care of! Thank you Caroline!

Lyndi was awesome. She sent me lots of photos and videos after each visit. My cats get very stressed when I leave and they seemed so much better when I came home from this trip after Lyndi spent great quality time with them. I greatly appreciate it and will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sandy Hills. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
