Cat and dog lover! Over 15 years experience in dog training, horse training and vet med. I’m a big fan of positive reinforcement, play based training, and equal partnership with the animal. I currently have a credential in force-free dog training, and am continuing coursework in advanced behavior training. I grew up providing active care for both dogs and cats. In my adult life, a sweet beagle named Cannoli! He is a happy pup and we enjoy doing dog sports together- including scent work, rally, stunt training, and trick training. He has titles in AKC canine good citizen, scentwork, trick and fitness. I love being able to provide him enrichment through fun training experiences and games. I also regularly help with care for my family and friends' pets, including my parents' cat, Olive. I work hard to make sure the animals in my care get only the best. I have extremely high standards for my own dog. I’ll be sure to treat your cat or dog as I would mine. ❤️ I completed two veterinary internships and worked as a vet assistant. My degree is in Animal Science from USU. I taught four years of animal science and vet science classes at the high school level. I am a believer in continuing to learn best practices when taking care of animals. I love to learn about dog training and regularly take my dog to classes that teach effective R+ methods. I also have shadowed many different dog trainers so I am well versed in a a variety of methods, as well as have completed a force-free certification program. Currently, I do work full time but I do work from home most the day with a fairly flexible schedule and I spend only 3-4 hours in the office in the afternoons.
