About: Hey there! My name is Heather and I am an avid dog lover and pet care professional. I work with all breeds, temperaments, and pets that require special accommodations. My client's dogs can never get enough of the attention I bring to them! I provide consistency, reliability, and thorough service to my clients. Starting as a Kennel Technician at the age of 15, to owning my own pet care business in the past, you can ensure your pets are in good hands. I am a stay at home Mom, with a 5 yr. old Cavapoo named Cooper. I’m starting my journey to get back into the pet care industry and would love to work with you! My schedule is fairly open with being a stay at home Mom, which gives me ample flexibility for dog walks, check-ins and overnight care. Please contact me for availability. Mornings and afternoons are when I am primarily available for walks, hikes, and check ins. Staying in your home, I will ensure to keep a regular schedule with your pet. Your home will be exactly as you left it and your pet will feel like you never left. I require all dogs to be on leash when in my care when out on walks. I will stick to your pets strict diet to ensure no negative digestive issues.

“Valerie has been so great with my new 12 week puppy! She came home so happy and tired each day, and I got pictures and messages throughout the whole first day to help ease my nerves. It was so great knowing I had someone experienced watching my fur baby ❤️”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life and started helping care for them when I was about 7 years old. Most of my experience has been with strong, high energy and often misunderstood breeds, which have always held a special place in my heart. But I love all doggos! To me, they’re not just pets, they’re family and that’s exactly how I treat them. I don’t believe a difficult behavior or negative label should define an animal. Every pet has their own story, personality and needs. I genuinely enjoy taking the time to learn what helps them feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I love helping wherever I can and learning new things, because you never know what you’ll end up loving in life! I’m currently a stay at home mom and I love to stay busy. I’m pretty much open and can adapt to change fairly quickly. I always make sure everyone is taken care of and I’m very attentive. I currently live in an apartment on the ground floor with my two dogs, two kids, dad and stepmom. We have a patio so when our dogs wanna sun bathe they just walk back or we take them on walks. They do what they want but most the time they’re just nappin’ away or trying to relax with the household.
“I highly recommend Jen. I came into town for an event and I got really lucky to find her! She took excellent care of Briar, she was thoughtful and kept me posted on how Briar was throughout the day.”

“Jen is great, very friendly and accommodating. I wanted to find new friends for my dog. She welcomed my fur baby into her home and family. My dog had so much fun. Jen would share pictures and video throughout the stay. My dog seemed to have had so much fun!”

“Sharon took excellent care of my pup while we were visiting friends in Utah. She was very responsive to texts and provided updates. I would definitely recommend Sharon and hope to use her services again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Jordan
Our 2 dogs spent several days with Dillan while we were visiting family in Utah, we live in Oregon. Dillan was very accommodating to our schedule. He took great care of, and interest in our dogs. The dogs were well cared for and happy. We will be going back to Utah in the near future and plan to use Dillan again. I would highly recommend him.

Rudy’s stay over three days for doggy daycare at Jennifer’s worked out great. She was really accommodating and attentive, and set up the environment to keep him safe and engaged. For example, she set up a little pool during the hot days, and provided toys. Her dog Jasper was a great play buddy for Rudy, which helped with the separation anxiety. I felt good about leaving Rudy in her care, and highly recommend Jennifer for daycare for your pup.

Christian and his wife accepted my booking last minute after my original sitter fell through. I'm always nervous dropping my dog off in a new environment but they quickly put my mind at ease with some photos and videos showing my dog settled in and getting along with their pups. They continued to send me updates throughout the day of the dogs playing and going to the park. I was able to have a worry free day and pick up a happy and tired dog at the end of it. Thank you so much!

Holly is AMAZING!!! we really lucked out finding her, we came to SLC for a tennis tournament and I contacted Holly on a very short notice and she was able to accommodate us, as soon as I met Holly I knew Junior was in good hands, and I wasn’t wrong! Junior was so so happy the first day he spend at Holly’s home and the second day he was soooo excited to come back! she treated him like he was her own dog and I LOOVE that, I know my dog Junior got all the love, all the play and care I was looking for. So so thankful, we are never looking for another dog sitter in Salt Lake, she is the absolute best! 🫶🙌🏻

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
