“Spencer was great with our senior pittie. He worked with her some on her separation anxiety. He arrived on time and left on time. He is a gem of a sitter and we look forward to having him back.”

“We had never used a dog sitter before and Alyssa was so great. We met before our vacation for a meet and greet which put our nerves at ease. We have a medically complex dog and Alyssa was very thorough with following her mediation schedule. She sent pictures at every stop in visit and answered texts promptly. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: I love birds and have experience taking care of my own pet parrots. I have a green cheek conure and an Indian ringneck that are bonded and living their best lives. You can trust me to take care of your birdies while you are away. Please contact me so we can go over protective requirements that will be necessary before I can safely board your bird. I also do visits at your home if you prefer your bird to stay in place. I currently work from home as I have a shipping business. I have time to ensure your pets are happy and healthy in my extra time. My birds are housed in a large cage and always have access to fresh food and water. They are served special fruit and veggie chop daily. I use Lafebers nutriberries and pellets for my birds. Please provide any food you wish me to provide your pet while they stay with me so that they will feel comfortable. I can, in addition, provide fresh chop for your birdy everyday if you would like. At this time I require that they be housed in their own cage to provide them more comfort. This may limit the size of bird that I can board, as large birds tend to have much larger and stationary cages.
About: I’ve raised many dogs and cats throughout my life and understand their needs—whether they’re barking, meowing, or simply communicating through their behavior. Reading pets’ social cues is essential to loving and caring for them properly. As a lifelong pet lover , I’m committed to not only caring for your animals but also getting to know you. Leave your pets in my care with confidence! I’m a stay-at-home wife and mom to two wonderful furbabies. I have plenty of time to give pets the attention, playtime, and care they need during boarding. I truly enjoy spending time with my own pets and those I look after! Every pet in my care is treated with love, attention, and respect for their individual needs. I not only follow their regular schedule, but will also take the time to learn about each pet’s specific preferences and routines from their owners. My goal is to make your pet feel completely at home—safe, comfortable, and loved, just like they are with you. Pets are welcome to roam freely throughout the house and enjoy supervised playtime in the backyard. For those who tend to mark new spaces, I offer belly bands as a gentle option—no judgment at all! I keep the environment clean and cozy, with fresh water always available. Whether your pet loves cuddles or prefers a bit more space, they’ll receive the level of attention and affection they’re most comfortable with. Their happiness and well-being are my top priorities. ❤️🩷❤️
About: I’m now offering basic obedience training! Let me know what you’d like me to work on with your pup & come home to a better behaved dog! We've had dogs our entire lives, they are part of the family! If you have other animals that need care we also have experience with bunnies, snakes, iguanas, ducks, chickens and cats! I currently work from home. One of us is almost always home. Availability to take dogs on at least 1-2 walks or hikes per day. If they are fetch lovers, our back yard opens up to a private park. Our last dog was so great off leash, but we know all dogs aren't, and can ensure those that are flight risks will stay in fenced area or on leash. We live in a very safe quiet cul-de-sac and private community. We also have experience with dog aggression and can prevent and handle that as well. I work from home and will be with dogs most days! We usually try to get in two walks per day. One in the morning and one in the evening We have a fully fenced yard that opens up to a beautiful private park, along with three others and a great trail within walking distance.
“Lianna did a great job taking care of our kitty and was willing to make changes and extend the booking when we had a change of plans. She also helped out by watering our garden and keeping my plants from dying in the summer heat. Thanks, Lianna!”
“Alaina was wonderful! This was our first time using Rover or leaving this particular pet for more than a day, and so there was a bit of apprehension on our end, but Alaina made it so easy! Alaina was attentive to our needs, observant of any possible issues we’d want to know about, and took such good care of our cat. We are so grateful!!”

About: Hi there !! I have lifelong experience caring for dogs of all breeds and ages:) I provide walks, check-ins and over-night stay. I'm available weekday evenings and weekends for reliable, attentive pet sitting. I work weekday mornings to afternoons, so I'm free for evening, night, and weekend pet sitting with plenty of time for your pets needs. I live with six dogs of varied breeds, ages, sizes, and medical needs. I'm flexible and adapt to your pet's routine and schedule.
“I hit a home run with my 1st experience w/ Rovers.com and particularly Kara C. Kara was everything I was looking for and precisely as described by her many favorable reviews. No question I'll again be seeking Kara's services.”

About: With over 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting, I bring a level of professional care and medical insight that few sitters can match. I’ve worked hands-on with pets at every life stage—from rambunctious puppies learning the ropes to senior companions needing extra patience and specialized support. Whether it’s administering medications, recognizing early signs of discomfort, or simply knowing how to make a nervous pet feel safe and loved, I approach each animal with the same attentiveness and compassion I would offer my own. I’m comfortable with post-surgical care, chronic conditions, and unique behaviors, and I’m always happy to tailor my approach to your pet’s unique needs. I also love helping puppies build good habits early on and supporting older pets with gentle routines that keep them comfortable and engaged. My goal is to make every visit feel like a trusted extension of your care—so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in capable, loving hands. I work remotely part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to make pet care a top priority. Since I have pets of my own, caring for animals is already part of my daily rhythm—whether it’s morning walks, playtime breaks, or quiet companionship while I work. I’m able to adjust my remote work days to accommodate pet sitting or walking needs, ensuring your pet gets consistent attention, exercise, and affection throughout the day. I provide a calm, structured home where pets feel safe and cared for. For your cat or dog that is not fond of other dogs, my dog is moved to a different part of the house, making it so there is never contact with him. I use a completely separate, quiet area of my home — similar to a mother‑in‑law apartment setup. This helps shy or sensitive cats or dogs relax and feel secure. Every pet’s needs are different, and I adjust their environment so they feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
About: I am a meticulous and thorough person and am committed to giving pets the very best care I can. I promise to treat your pet like my own, and to make sure they are cared for in the way they deserve. I have a very flexible schedule and work from home three days a week, and am able to arrange pet care requirements or requests around my day to day life easily. I have a fully fenced yard for pets and keep separate yard space for large and small breeds. As for pet care visits in the pet’s own home, I am happy to do pet drop in care, though I do not currently offer overnight in home care at the pet’s home.
About: I offer drop in visits at your home, which can include feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, walks, or just some quality couch time with your pet. Whatever your routine is, I follow your lead! I have been caring for pets for over 20 years. I raised both of my own, Chuy my dog and Hunny my cat, from when they were small. Over the years friends and family have trusted me with their pets while they traveled, both dogs and cats, in their home and in mine. I once took a friend's dog to surgery and cared for him through his entire recovery while my friend was away for work. That is just the kind of pet person I am. I work part time evenings so my mornings and middays are wide open for your pet. I am available weekdays from 8am to 3pm and fully available on weekends too. Your pet will never feel rushed. I genuinely have time to hang and give them real attention and love. I take pet care seriously but I also just genuinely love animals. Honestly I love them more than most people lol. I believe our pets do so much more for us than we ever do for them and that belief shows in how I show up for every visit. Your pet deserves nothing less. 🐾 I work part time evenings so my mornings and middays are wide open! I'm available weekdays from 8am to 3pm and fully available on weekends too. Your pet won't be getting a quick rushed visit, I genuinely have time to hang out and give them real attention. 🐾 Since I come to you, your pet gets to stay in their own home where they feel safe and comfortable, no new environments or extra stress. I can do drop in visits, extended stays at your place, walks, a trip to the park, or just chill on the couch with them for a bit. Whatever your pet needs, I'm flexible and I follow your lead on their routine and rules. 🏡

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Jordan
I highly recommend Natalie! We started with a meet and greet to go over the routine for my dogs and cats, and she handled everything perfectly. She was incredibly sweet with my pets, took great care of them, and sent wonderful picture updates while I was away. I will definitely be using her services again!

Stacey is the best Rover I’ve booked! She spent so much time giving my kitty attention that he was so content when I got home. She kept my place very clean and took very informative pictures so I felt confident that everything I asked for was being done well! Highly recommend booking her.

Spencer did a terrific job making sure my cat was fed and taken care of while I was away. He went above and beyond by giving her some extra food when my flight got delayed a day, so she would survive a day alone. Super Responsive and sent pics every day. Highly recommended!

Emma was once again, a wonderfully reliable pet sitter! She also was willing to help us out when I was unsure if we were going to make it back on time. She responds quickly to any messages I send her and I can leave our kitties with peace of mind, knowing she is going to take good care of them. Thank you Emma!

Alyssa was honestly amazing. She was recommended to me by a friend who'd used her multiple times and I'm so glad I booked with her. She gave me such great piece of mind and made me feel so much better about leaving my kitty for a week. She is clearly someone who loves animals and I'll definitely be booking with her again.

Jessie took such good care of my cat while I was out of town. My cat has a lot of anxiety and has to be given a pill each day. Jessie was able to give it to him and made friends with him by the end of my trip - something few people have been able to do. Thanks Jessie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Jordan. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
