“London took care of our 2 cats for almost 3 weeks while we were on vacation. London did everything as requested and then some -- like watering our 20+ plants!!! We especially appreciated the daily pictures of our fur babies, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. London's gentle nature even helped our shy cat to feel trusting enough to come out of hiding to greet her.”

“Sophie’s been so great with Winston! I have had to ask her a time or two for a last minute check in and she was immediately responsive and helped me out! Thanks so much :)”

“Edna took amazing care of my puppy! She took him on a walk and made sure he got a potty break and communicated very well. I will definitely book again if I need help with my puppy another day.”

“Dianna was great with our babies, we had her do dropins for a few days. She was very professional and upfront about everything and answered all our question as this was the first time we used the app or have every trusted someone with our pets. She definitely deserves her great rating and we will absolutely be booking with her again next time!! 🐾”

“Caroline was on-time and gave lots of love to our pup during our scheduled drop-ins. I would absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind their animal is in good hands.”

“We are so glad we found Makenna! She was quick to communicate, sent photos, and let us know when our pups got into some things they shouldn't have in the house. Our travel plans ended up being extended last minute and Makenna was willing to work with us on our additional needs. Truly a 5 star experience and we're thankful for her help! - Wrigley, Frank, and Nugget”

“Alexis came in on short notice when our usual cat girl couldn't make it. She did a great job, followed instructions precisely, and was very communicative. You could tell she put a lot of importance on doing the job right. And she loves cats! Will definitely book her again.”

About: Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat, where dogs are spoiled, snuggled, and adored. I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare designed to feel less like traditional boarding and more like staying with someone your dog already knows and loves. I am generally home throughout the day, so my guests get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, outdoor breaks, and, of course, naps and cuddles. I intentionally keep things small and personal. I mostly care for one dog/household at a time. If I do take more than one, it's always discussed with owners and I'm very selective about the dogs I accept together. I consider personality, temperament, size, energy level, age, and individual needs because I want every dog in my home to feel safe and comfortable. This is not a crowded kennel or large daycare environment. It is my home, and every dog who stays here becomes part of it for a little while. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. I've raised and trained my own dogs, spent about 15 years fostering and helping rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs, volunteered as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments, and completed animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services. That experience has taught me that dogs aren't one-size-fits-all. Some want to play all day. Some would happily spend the afternoon curled up next to me. Some need a little extra patience before they decide I'm trustworthy. And some need more structure, space, or reassurance to feel comfortable. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's personality and figuring out what makes them happiest. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is for you to leave knowing they're safe, loved, understood, and probably being spoiled a little more than they'll admit when you get home. Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat. Cozy home, calm vibes, happy tails. I am generally home throughout the day, and I keep our daily routine flexible based on the needs of the pups staying with me. Energetic and ready to go? There will be plenty of walks, outdoor time, play, and opportunities to burn off that energy. More of a couch potato? Laid-back days, cozy naps, and couch snuggles are some of my favorite pastimes! Because I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care exclusive/small, I'm able to get to know each pup's personality and make sure they get the right balance of activity, attention, play, and downtime. Not every dog wants to do the same thing, and that's perfectly okay. Pups are rarely left alone while staying with me. If I do need to step out, it's typically for a short period of time, usually no more than an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.
“Katie and her husband were amazing! Extremely communicative, knowledgeable, and helpful! They took care of all unexpected issues without complaining or questioning. They made us feel so safe and comfortable with our two dogs! We have already booked them again for our next trip.”

“Hanna and Mica get along famously! Mica is very comfortable with her, and Hanna sends the cutest photos ever day :-). We will use her services whenever we have to leave our baby at home for travel.”

“Myia has been helping us with our senior dog. Dropping in to give him his medication and let him out potty. They have always been on time and communication has been great. I would recommend them for any of your pet care needs.”
“Thank you Natalie for taking such good care of my 3 cats. You always responded quickly to my questions during the visits and it made me feel comforted that u cared and would get it done. We will definitely use you again!!!”

“Eva is great with our anxious pup. She’s flexible with last minute schedule changes and that’s very helpful. Ginger loves her weekly visits and her little walks around the neighborhood.”

“Zanubia was super communicative and took good care of our 3 cats. She kept us up to date on which ones she saw (we have 2 that regularly hide with new people) and took cute photos of the ones she saw. Would use again and would recommend!”

“Michelle Is great with my kitty, she sends pictures and videos and written summaries, which I really appreciate. She is very helpful to me and my kitty. I appreciate her services so much. She is very responsive and caring.”

“Alecia has been such a life saver for helping with my 5 month old puppy since I work full time. She takes such good care of him and is great about communicating any concerns she has and giving me thorough updates throughout the visits”

“Meisha did an amazing job caring for our cat Baxter. She is a reliable, communicative sitter. Meisha sent photos and updates at every drop-in and was easy to get a hold of if we had a question. We definitely plan to hire Meisha when we travel again in the future.”

“Kristi is always wonderful; my cats love her, and I can see from her photos that they are happily interacting with her. They’re always content when I get back, and she takes care of their needs so that I can feel comfortable when I’m gone. I can’t put a price on the value of having her to depend on for my beloved for babies!”

Megan was fantastic! She made my cat feel safe and loved on her. She even caught a mistake I had with the insulin needles I ordered and was able to go over an extra time to just check and see how my cat was doing. Megan sent detailed updates and pictures of my cat while I was gone! I will absolutely book Megan in the future and highly suggest you book her for your pets care.

Spencer did such a great job with my girls! I think that they are missing him and all the attention he gave them 😂 He went above and beyond to make sure both dogs got lots of attention, pets and loves. I was very nervous as that this was my first time away from them, but Spencer was very reassuring. I highly recommend him, thanks Spencer!

Stacey is my favorite pet caregiver. I’ve hired several sitters over the past few years, and she is second to none. She consistently goes above and beyond my expectations, treating my pets with genuine care and attention. I always have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in her hands!!

We headed out to a long vacation and felt completely at peace knowing Sana would be caring for our two kitties. They absolutely love seeing her - rolling over for belly rubs, rubbing their faces on her and and leg (a definite sign of kitty love) ;o) Every day we reviewed her home visit report and looked at the photos she took feeling such gratitude that we could see how well taken care of and happy they were. Thank you Sana!

Lily took great care of our kitties for an extended holiday trip, giving daily updates so we knew the kitties were doing well! She was proactive in asking about a few house-care related things, and when we came back, all was well with the cats and the house. We'll be back in touch for future trips!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Jordan. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
