Hi, I'm Michelle! I grew up surrounded by dogs my entire life as my grandparents loved dogs, which also helped me learn about reading dog body language and behavior. I love playing with dogs and cats, and would help friends take care of their dogs and/or cats when needed before. I started pet-sitting about 8 years ago when I was an undergrad through word of mouth and have loved doing it ever since! I've been told that I'm like the cool pet aunt and that my calm demeanor really eases dogs and cats alike! In all, I've about 8 years of experience with taking care of dogs and cats :)

Michelle was amazing! This was her first time housesitting for us, and we would definitely book with her again. She did a wonderful job taking care of our two fairly high maintenance dogs (one requires being hand fed and the other requires being given eyedrops three times a day) and our fairly low maintenance cat. She sent lots of updates and pictures, which kept us from stressing while away.
Michelle is a wonderful sitter! She was very thoughtful and intentional about helping our shy cats warm up to her, and sent great updates and pictures. She also left our home neat and clean. I felt great knowing our cats were in good hands!
Michelle did a great job taking care of my dog. My dog can be really timid and gets stressed easily. Michelle gave me frequent updates and was observant of Nala’s behavior over the trip! Nala warmed up to Michelle very quickly!
Michelle is amazing!!! This was our second time booking with her, and she stayed at our apartment and took care of our kitty and pup for a week while we were out of town. Michelle took such great care of them and sent lots of photos/updates, which I loved (especially as an admittedly clingy pet parent) ☺️ She also took wonderful care of our space and was kind enough to help us out with things around the apartment like checking the mail. I really can’t recommend Michelle enough! This is the longest we’ve left our babies and I couldn’t have felt more peace of mind knowing they were in great hands.
Great time with Buttercup and a well needed opportunity for them to know each other.
Michelle did a great job with our dog and provided communication with us about daily activities and beautiful pictures letting us know how things were going. Updates is important for us and Michelle nailed it!

Schedule
I'm currently a self-employed Math tutor, so I have plenty of time to give your dog/cat all the attention and cuddles they want! I will need to be able to leave the house for at least 4 hours to run other errands or tasks.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment complex that is in a pet-friendly neighborhood. For boarding and daycare, dogs will be let out to potty about every 3-4 hours. There is also a small fenced field and dog park nearby if your dog has excellent recall and you're okay with it. Food is prepared/provided as instructed by pet parent. However, food that requires cooking should be meal prepped ahead of time by pet parent for safety and liability reasons. When at client's home, I make sure to clean up after myself and also try to stick to as close as possible to your pet's routine! On walks, I make sure the dogs are safe whenever we go out for walks by being very vigilant of my surroundings. *Any requests in the Suncrest, Draper area will incur an additional charge of $10 per visit (drop-in)/ $20 per day (house-sitting)*
A typical day
I will play with the dogs and/or cats and cuddle with them a lot if we're at home and I'm not swamped with work. I'll also take the dogs out for a walk around neighborhood as well as any dog-friendly parks that are nearby. Your pets may also get "photoshoots" throughout the day with me as I like to take pictures of them and send them to you when cute or funny moments happen :)
