“Karesa and her family were incredible. I actually think my pup was sad to leave her house. They are super social with him, kept us up to date with pictures and was great with communicating. I’ve already reached out to out to schedule his next stay.”

“Andrea is sweet and very responsible. She went above and beyond to make sure that our drop-off an pick-ups went smoothly when I boarded my dog at her place. My dog was immediately comfortable in her home. Couldn't ask for a better experience.”

“Henry had an amazing time with Robyn. Their dog was an amazing playmate and they sent an adorable photo of Henry settling in and having a good time. Robyn was also very quick to respond to all communication and worked with me very nicely when I messed up the pickup time and asked to swing by earlier. Great experience for all parties.”

“Ivette was an excellent sitter for our dog! Very responsive when scheduling and during the stay, and even willing to take our dog last minute when we had to take an unexpected trip. She's stay-at-home, so is able to give extra attention to dogs that she boards, and was able to facilitate a lot of interaction with other dogs. Lots of outside time to run around, which our dog can't get enough of, lots of pictures and updates for us, and just generally excellent.”

“Nancy has watched my dog a couple times now. She has taken good care of him. She and her family are loving and kind. My dog seems happy when we’ve picked him up from their house. I will book with her again.”

“Jim and Mary Jane took such good care of my 2 dogs while I was away with my family. I didn’t have to worry one second because I knew they were beating treated as their own. Thank you so much!”

“Franklin is treated like part of the family at Candace’s house! She was a great communicator, flexible, and willing to deal with our current high maintenance needs of a humidifier set up for him while sleeping. Highly recommend!”

During their stay Annie took pictures of them and made sure they are comfortable in their home. She did sent pictures to show how they doing. 😊 she’s wonderful for last min extra stay for emergency. We were very grateful.”
“Jennifer was a great find to care for our pup. She spent quality time during a meet and greet & found her home and yard a comfortable relaxing environment. Her dogs were great companions for ours and appreciate the play and walks/hike. Communication was great & daily pictures were appreciated. Would highly recommend.”

“Mayne and her family took great care of my pup. Communication was quick and easy and we got lots of pictures! It was clear from those pictures that our dog felt at home with Mayne and her family. She was loved and cared for 100% during her stay. Can't recommend Mayne more, and we will definitely become one of her regulars!”

“My Husky loved Maranda from the get go at the meet and greet. Maranda sent updates, and photos. They went on walks. We felt very comfortable leaving our fur baby with her. We will reach out the next time we need a doggie sitter. Maranda is great!”

“James did a great job dog sitting Leo. James sent me plenty of cute pictures and updates throughout the stay. He took Leo with him on plenty of car rides, a few hikes, and Leo loved playing with the other dogs.”

“My sweet Finn had the best time with Danika and Jordan! I had to book with only about 12 hours’ notice, and they responded to my request right away. They were incredibly kind, flexible, and accommodating. Since they have dogs of their own, Finn had plenty of playtime and came home happy and completely worn out—just like he does after staying at a boarding facility, but for a fraction of the cost. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter!”

“I am very thankful for all the courtesy updates sent to me by Beth on how my pup was doing while in her care, and the fact she was able to take him in on such short notice :)”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life but started being able to care for them when I was about 7 years old. Mostly aggressive dog breeds and they’re my most fave but I love ALL doggos :) they’re not just pets, they’re family and that’s how I treat them. I’ve never let any type of aggression or anything in the negative nature define who pets are. They all have their own story and I love to learn about them even if it takes time. I love to help where and when I can. I love learning new things cause you never know what you’ll end up loving in life! I’m currently a stay at home mom and I love to stay busy. I’m pretty much open and can adapt to change fairly quickly. I always make sure everyone is taken care of and I’m very attentive. I currently live in an apartment on the ground floor with my two dogs, two kids, dad and stepmom. We have a patio so when our dogs wanna sun bathe they just walk back or we take them on walks. They do what they want but most the time they’re just nappin’ away or trying to relax with the household.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Jordan
Michelle was wonderful with Ophelia this past weekend! She was very communicative throughout Ophelia’s stay and kept me updated on how her day was going, including sharing pictures, which I really appreciated. She gave me lots of positive reassurance about how well Ophelia was doing, and it made me feel very comfortable knowing she was in good hands. Michelle followed all of my instructions carefully and was always accessible and responsive whenever I texted her. I even ended up arriving later than expected to pick Ophelia up, and she was incredibly kind and understanding about it. I’m very grateful for the care, attention, and kindness she showed Ophelia. I would absolutely trust Michelle to take care of her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Justine took great care of Fiji. She kept me updated, made sure my pet was happy and comfortable, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a healthy, happy, and well-cared-for dog. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet caregiver.
Mandy did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Freddy. She was responsive throughout the entire process, easy to coordinate with, flexible with timing and scheduling, and made sure to keep us updated with pictures everyday. This allowed our trip out of state to go smoothly without worrying about our dog being well cared for. Would definitely use her again!

Bethany was very welcoming and great with our pup. She was kind enough to send a few pictures and updates each day to give us peace of mind. We really appreciate that she only takes one family at a time and there are no other dogs in the house. She has a great for playtime and a deck for him to chill on. Thanks so much!

Amber and her kids were so great! Our dog Max loved being there. He loved playing with the little kids and hanging out in the backyard with Amber‘s family dog. Amber went out of her way to take care of Max and make sure he was fed, had fresh water, gave him his prescription medicine. She sent us photos and text messages and with updates. When it came time to go home; our dog Max just wanted to stay there by the front door and layed on his mat. We will definitely use her again !!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
