“We had such a wonderful experience with MaKenna! She took amazing care of our two dogs, checked in with us daily, and sent us pictures and videos so we always knew they were happy and doing well. She is incredibly kind, sweet, and clearly loves animals. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter!”

We will surely look for Matti again on our next vacation.”

This is our second time booking with Karesa and she is amazing to work with! When dropping my dog off he was excited and ran right inside their home which made me confident he was taken care of the first time, so being gone for 10 days this time around I had peace of mind that he was good. She also sent lots of pictures and he really seemed to be taken care of with lots of love from her and her whole family!

Callee and Duncan were amazing! They took wonderful care of our big puppy boy. I could tell they took care of him and treated him like family. They sent many updates every day and I was grateful for that. We missed our dog the whole time but we knew he was in very good hands with Callee and her family. We'll definitely be using them again.

Regan is truly an amazing dog sitter and an even more amazing person. Before watching my dog for a week, she took the time to schedule a meet-and-greet to make sure it was the right fit for everyone. From that moment on, I knew my dog would be in great hands. Throughout the entire stay, Regan sent daily pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. The excitement my dog showed when she saw Regan, and the happiness I could see in every photo, made it clear how well she was being cared for. When I picked my dog up, she was happy, relaxed, and obviously loved. In fact, when we got home, she sat by the window looking out like she was waiting for Regan to come back—LOL! That alone told me everything I needed to know about the bond they had formed. I cannot recommend Regan enough and will absolutely use her whenever I can. The love, attention, and genuine care she gives to the dogs she watches is truly special. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, Regan is the person you want. 🐾❤️
Amber and Tristan were so great! We left our large younger dog and smaller senior dog with them. While we were gone our small senior dog had a medical issue and they helped coordinate what was needed with vet visits and medication. They went above and beyond to make sure that our little girl was comfortable and that we had plenty of updates and pictures. They took great care of both of our dogs. Would highly recommend!

Amanda did a great job watching my dog while we went on vacation. I didn’t have to worry about him at all, and she gave a few updates while he was there. She managed his daily medication, which is not the easiest task. My dog also has a mild leg injury and I always worry he will come back from dog boarding with even more pain or progression, but he is doing so well - I’m grateful for how well he was cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
