“Mikelle took amazing care of our pup! When we picked her up, she was so happy and relaxed—it was clear she felt right at home. You can tell Mikelle is a true animal lover, and she went above and beyond to keep our girl comfortable and happy. Highly recommend! ❤️”

“Chauntel was great responding to any questions or concerns I had. Luna had so much fun playing with her sweet dogs and she had a great space for them to play. I felt at ease while I was away and she shared pictures of Luna being loved on by her sweet kiddos. I definitely recommend her and I will be using her again ☺️”

“We loved working with Tanya. We left Cosmo for a week while we traveled out of state. She sent us updates and pictures to let us know how Cosmo was doing. We will definitely use Tanya again.”

“Sheyla was wonderful! I highly recommend her. Our dog was very well taken care of and given lots of love while we were away. She was very responsive to communication. We enjoyed the pictures she sent too, it was comforting to see how our puppy was doing.”

“As always, Toni did a great job taking care of our puppy. I appreciate the ability to travel while knowing he is well cared for as long as Toni is able and willing to watch him she will always be our first choice!”

“Sachi was wonderful caring for my special needs dog. She kept me updated with pictures and messages. I knew she was in good hands and would highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

“I am definitely looking at rebooking Justin and Rachanee B. for the next time I need a dog sitter. I had a great experience with them and their kids and it looks like my dog did, too. They sent pictures, comments, and even a few videos during the week we were gone. My four year-old dog, usually on edge in new situations, always appeared relaxed and happy. Our dog has a medical condition which requires a sock and some manipulation of a sore back paw as well as oral pain medication . Justin and Rachanee were able to do everything required and our dog’s paw looked great when we got her back.”

“Tannia was amazing! It was our dogs first stay with her and they seemed to love it there. She communicated very well about the dogs through the stay and any concerns she had. Very accommodating as well, as our flight was delayed getting home.”

“Adelaine did a great job watching our dog for almost a week. She kept him happy and healthy. She and sent regular updates with photos. She was reliable and professional. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Pumpkin! She gave him so much love and attention, and even let him roam freely around the house, which he loved. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such a caring and cat loving home. Highly recommend her to anyone needing a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!”

“Our dog Gunnar had a great time! Jordan and Andrea were responsive and kept us updated on how he was doing. I'm so glad that we now have somewhere for Gunnar to go when we're out of town where he will get plenty of play and attention!”

“Ivette was wonderful with our dogs, Finn and Stella! She provided daily check-ins with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our dogs truly thrived in her family home environment and came back happy and relaxed. Pickup was easy and seamless. The whole experience was effortless. We will definitely have Ivette watch our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.”

“Excellent dog sitter! My dog stayed at her house and received wonderful care. Great communication, updates, and a welcoming environment. I would happily use her services again.”

“Matti was great! Our puppy started out shy as he hadn't had much contact with other dogs. We were worried that he wouldn't be comfortable with the 3 Chihuahua that Matti has. But, Matti has made it possible and our puppy fit in just fine and seemed to enjoy other dogs' company in the end. Thank you, Matti for taking good care of our puppy while we were out of town! We will surely look for Matti again on our next vacation.”

“Jenna and her husband were so great with our Keeshond, Zealand. They were able to watch him on very short notice and Zealand had so much fun playing in their yard with their other dogs. They were very friendly and communicated well, and were able to watch Zealand for an extra day due to us getting home later than we thought. We would absolutely use them again!”

“Adriana was so kind and professional, and I knew my pups were in the best hands :) She was also super accommodating for my last minute request, and made everything feel smooth and easy. I’m very lucky I found her on Rover and can’t wait to have her watch my two pups again! 🤍”

“Finding Danika & Jordan is such a breath of fresh air! They are kind & caring and I know Leo was well cared for. I hope to have him stay again. He has been sleeping all day (the day after pick up) so I know he had fun!”

“Amanda was amazing with our dog. It was her second stay there and due to bad timing our dog needed to be taken into the vet. She let me know when she was having problems, got her in, communicated with me great, and cleaned up my pup’s mess from being sick. And at the end she assured me my pup is welcome back anytime. Definitely 5 stars!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Herriman
Amanda did a great job watching my dog while we went on vacation. I didn’t have to worry about him at all, and she gave a few updates while he was there. She managed his daily medication, which is not the easiest task. My dog also has a mild leg injury and I always worry he will come back from dog boarding with even more pain or progression, but he is doing so well - I’m grateful for how well he was cared for.

Grace and her family took such great care of my dog and I could tell she was very well cared for. She was happy/calm when we picked her up, which hasn’t been the case with some other sitters. Grace responded quickly and sent pics throughout her stay. Thank you so much!

Cindy & Jay were excellent care givers to my nervous pup, Ellie! Cindy was so responsive and answered all my questions beforehand (as this was my first time using Rover) Cindy's thorough daily updates kept us well apprised about how our dog was doing during our time away. They took such great care of her- helping her with her diet, giving her supervised social time with others, regular outdoor time, and letting her be her snuggly and sleepy self. She was very comfortable there, and I think Ellie resented us a little for bringing her home! Cindy & Jay were easy to communicate with and they were so proactive about letting us know of any concerns. I would definitely trust them again with our Ellie

Justine was phenomenal! She met up with me and our dog prior to our visit as he can be a little skittish. I could tell right away she knew how hard it was to leave your dog with someone and was a dog mom herself. She was so thoughtful and sent multiple pictures and videos throughout our dogs stay, which I really appreciate. We could tell he was in good hands and being cared for. Highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future.

Brianna and her husband Connor were great! They took excellent care of our two pups. We had a meet and greet to make sure our dogs would get along with their dog Pepper and it all went well. She is a sweetheart. They were careful during the introduction and on drop off day, especially with our small dog. During the stay they sent pictures and updates. When we arrived home they were happy as usual! Thanks Brianna and Connor!
Truly amazing! Our dog was so happy and relaxed staying with Jessica! I'm pretty sure he might try to move in! Our dog is quite the quirky old man, and not only was he able to be himself but he was so well cared for and just loved on the whole time we were away!

Jeff was incredible with my boy. Zeuce was loved and nurtured as if he was at home. Jeff’s family made Zeuce feel welcomed and made his stay all the more enjoyable. Jeff was also so communicative and gave us updates even though we were on the other side of the world. We will definitely use Jeff again; 100% recommend!!

Helen and Kayla were absolutely wonderful with our senior pup! We have an elderly dog with significant health issues, so we’re always nervous about leaving him in anyone’s care. After our meet and greet, where we explained his medical needs (he’s 120 lbs and had a seizure the day before our trip), both Helen and Kayla immediately put us at ease. They were attentive, genuinely caring, and clearly experienced with dogs, it was obvious our boy was in excellent hands. Helen went above and beyond, sending regular updates with photos and even a video while we were away. She also followed up after we picked him up to make sure he settled back in smoothly. That kind of attention to detail and genuine concern made all the difference for us as anxious pet parents. We’d give them 10/10 and will absolutely be booking with them again. Highly recommend!

Alisha was so thorough and intentional with my pup. She asked lots of questions and wrote down everything we talked about. She kept me updated throughout my dog's stay with lots of photos and messages. I could tell that they did everything they could to help my little guy feel safe and comfortable during his stay!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
