“TL;DR: Myia was so fantastic with our cats that we rebooked her while the current booking was still ongoing! I'm so glad we found her! She spent an hour a day with our 2 cats for two weeks. She was very communicative and punctual. I had mild separation anxiety leaving the cats for so long, but Miya sent great photos and updates every day that made me feel so much better! During her visits, apart from her usual duties, she also cleaned up an accident near the litter box and brought it 2 packages that we had mistimed to be delivered during our travel. She also found a rogue vitamin pill on the floor and made sure the cats wouldn't have access to it in case it was toxic. She gave lots of loving to our social cat and listened to my suggestions on how to get the anti-social one to open up to her. Just a rockstar all around! About: I’ve grown up having at least one, if not multiple pets. Dogs, cats, and fish. I’ve only recently taken up pet sitting, but have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, snakes and hedgehogs! I have some experience giving medication and ear drops. I am eager to continue learning! I promise to take care of your fur babies as though they’re my own! I work a part-time job in Lehi. I work Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and the occasional Saturday morning. I work no more than 5.5 hours per shift; I will make sure to give all the extra attention I have to taking care of your pets! I currently live in a small basement apartment, so for the animals sake, I’d prefer staying at the clients home. I’m happy to clean or do any other chores while I am there.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life! I currently have a sweet goldendoodle that loves a friend. I have 2 grade school kids who love dogs. I have a fenced yard and a quiet neighborhood with a walking trail near. I work from home and take my own pup for walks everyday. Could definitely fit another furry friend into that schedule. When I'm running around my dog usually comes with me, weather permitting. I have a fenced yard. I keep my own pup inside mostly when I have to run errands, unless the weather and timing happens to be perfect for her to go for a ride. If I am leaving without my dog, I do put her in her kennel, and would need a kennel for dog sitting someone else's dog as well. My dog is an inside dog. I would treat any other dog the same unless they wanted to be outside more.

Dogs have been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. I spent about 15 years fostering and helping rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs, volunteered as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments, and completed animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services. That experience taught me that dogs aren’t one-size-fits-all. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and figuring out what makes them feel happiest and most at home. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. I want you to leave knowing they’re safe, loved, understood, and probably being spoiled a little more than they’ll admit when you get home. I am generally home throughout the day, and I keep our daily routine flexible based on the needs of the pups staying with me. Energetic and ready to go? There will be plenty of walks, outdoor time, play, and opportunities to burn off that energy. More of a couch potato? Laid-back days, cozy naps, and couch snuggles are some of my favorite pastimes! Because I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care exclusive, I'm able to get to know each pup's personality and make sure they get the right balance of activity, attention, play, and downtime. Not every dog wants to do the same thing, and that's perfectly okay. Pups are rarely left alone while staying with me. If I do need to step out, it's typically for a short period of time, usually no more than an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.
