“Katie & Ben are wonderful puppy friends and we’re so excited to have found them! They quickly got along with our pups and our pups love them. We look forward to having them visit our pups and watch them again soon. Thank you! 🙏🏼”

“Dianna was great with our babies, we had her do dropins for a few days. She was very professional and upfront about everything and answered all our question as this was the first time we used the app or have every trusted someone with our pets. She definitely deserves her great rating and we will absolutely be booking with her again next time!! 🐾”

About: Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat, where dogs are spoiled, snuggled, and adored. I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare designed to feel less like traditional boarding and more like staying with someone your dog already knows and loves. I am generally home throughout the day, so my guests get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, outdoor breaks, and, of course, naps and cuddles. I intentionally keep things small and personal. I mostly care for one dog/household at a time. If I do take more than one, it's always discussed with owners and I'm very selective about the dogs I accept together. I consider personality, temperament, size, energy level, age, and individual needs because I want every dog in my home to feel safe and comfortable. This is not a crowded kennel or large daycare environment. It is my home, and every dog who stays here becomes part of it for a little while. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. I've raised and trained my own dogs, spent about 15 years fostering and helping rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs, volunteered as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments, and completed animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services. That experience has taught me that dogs aren't one-size-fits-all. Some want to play all day. Some would happily spend the afternoon curled up next to me. Some need a little extra patience before they decide I'm trustworthy. And some need more structure, space, or reassurance to feel comfortable. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's personality and figuring out what makes them happiest. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. My goal is for you to leave knowing they're safe, loved, understood, and probably being spoiled a little more than they'll admit when you get home. Welcome to Wiggly Butt Retreat. Cozy home, calm vibes, happy tails. I am generally home throughout the day, and I keep our daily routine flexible based on the needs of the pups staying with me. Energetic and ready to go? There will be plenty of walks, outdoor time, play, and opportunities to burn off that energy. More of a couch potato? Laid-back days, cozy naps, and couch snuggles are some of my favorite pastimes! Because I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care exclusive/small, I'm able to get to know each pup's personality and make sure they get the right balance of activity, attention, play, and downtime. Not every dog wants to do the same thing, and that's perfectly okay. Pups are rarely left alone while staying with me. If I do need to step out, it's typically for a short period of time, usually no more than an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.
About: I love animals! I've taken care of dogs for 2 years and love every second. I love going on runs with dogs and playing with them. I am willing to do extra accommodations if needed. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to work with your pups! I only work a few hours on the weekends and will always wake up earlier and stay up later if the dog is used to that schedule. I still live with my family, so there is always someone in the house, so the dog isn't alone. When I dogsit, I can walk the dog multiple times a day and fit it into my schedule if I work that weekend. If the dog likes car rides, I take them with me to run some errands so they can get out of the house. I have a large unfenced yard, so I will monitor your dog when they are out there. There are four of us in my house, and we have no kids. I have a gate to my upstairs level since it's carpet, but my first floor is spacious, so your dog can walk around and lie wherever. I don't have pets of my own, and I only take care of 1 dog at a time. We have a few plants in the living room area, but are willing to move them outside if your dog is prone to playing with them. I have a couch cover, so dogs are free to lie on the couch if they are used to that. I also make sure to walk dogs away from other dogs in case they are prone to aggression when seeing other dogs, and for their safety.

“I hesitate to write this review because only because I want to gate keep how absolutely great Ashlie did taking care of my very senior doggo while I was gone. She went above and beyond and I felt well informed and she communicated excellently when there were questions.”

About: I’ve grown up having at least one, if not multiple pets. Dogs, cats, and fish. I’ve only recently taken up pet sitting, but have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, snakes and hedgehogs! I have some experience giving medication and ear drops. I am eager to continue learning! I promise to take care of your fur babies as though they’re my own! I work a part-time job in Lehi. I work Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and the occasional Saturday morning. I work no more than 5.5 hours per shift; I will make sure to give all the extra attention I have to taking care of your pets! I currently live in a small basement apartment, so for the animals sake, I’d prefer staying at the clients home. I’m happy to clean or do any other chores while I am there.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for all types of animals since I was 7 years old. I’ve pet sat dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. My partner and I currently foster dogs as well. We’ve fostered puppies and senior dogs so we are both very well equipped to nurture any type of pup you have. We have given medication to our fosters and can accommodate your dog in any way you need us to. I’m currently a nanny. I drop the kids off at 8:40 AM to school and come home to spend the day with the dogs until I need to pick the kids up from school at 3:40. I am usually off work at 5:30 (no later) but by then my partner William is home with the dogs. At most, your pup will be along for two hours in the morning. We treat every animal like they are our own child. We will make sure to care for your pet in any specific way you need. All pets are allowed on our furniture, along with sleeping in bed with us. We are a very loving home who understands how vulnerable it is to leave you baby with someone else. We will make sure to send photos, video, and updates on your pet. If you want, you can also FaceTime us at any point to see how your pet is doing.

“Samantha is amazing! She made sure that my dog is taken care of. She opened the blinds to my place (when I forgot, I appreciated it), she gave my dog more water, sent pictures to me, all the little things that make a difference. I will be rebooking with her.”

“Highly recommend! So grateful to have found compassionate pet care. Makenna was amazing with my crew and the photos showed just how much they enjoyed their caregivers.”

“Kayla was absolutely amazing! So easy to work with, followed all instructions to the letter. Kept my kitty very happy. I believe my usually antisocial Saebra even let her pet her. Kayla went above and beyond and even saved the day at Disney. I forgot my vaccs card, and she was kind enough to snap a couple pics and sent them to me. Long and short story, she helped me get into the park from long distance. Simply amazing!”

“London was delightful. She helped me out in a pinch when I had to go on a sudden work trip and I am forever grateful to have found her. She communicates often and really put my heart and mind at ease. She took great care of my kitties. I 💯 recommend and look forward to having her watch my boys again.”

About: I love animals! I have 2 bulldogs and a Rottweiler of my own and have had dogs ever since I can remember. My dogs aren’t just pets, we treat them like family. I’m fairly certain they don’t know they are dogs lol. I currently work from home. I have 3 dogs and a fenced yard. I’d love to have play dates and have your fur babies over or I can also break away to come check on your animals for food and potty breaks. I have 3 spoiled dogs. All my dogs are indoor dogs and are allowed on furniture and sleep in bed with me. They love to go on walks and car rides. I love taking on new clients. I am more than willing to come to your home to care for your pet fur drop in visits or provide walks.
“She was suchhhhh a big help. Our boy a pitbull with anxiety and for most he can be quite intimidating but they were über responsive, caring, and thoughtful throughout our whole time away from our dog. I cannot emphasize enough what a great job they did helping us care for our fur baby. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for walker/sitter”

“My dogs loves Robert! He was very good with both of them, especially sensitive to their different needs. We have a 1 1/2 year old bernedoodle and a 13 year old lab. They both were taken very good care of and Robert was awesome with the communication.”

Jen was AMAZING! clicked right off the cuff, Very trustworthy and my cats loved and appreciated her, She set expectations right away and followed through them the whole time which eliminated any anxiety! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my paws were in the best hands!

Allison is our go-to sitter whenever we can’t take our dogs with us! She was incredible when dropping in on our senior dogs as they were aging so needed some extra care, and now is fantastic with our puppies. We appreciate her communication and attentiveness to our fur babies 🙏

Elodie provides frequent updates, was very respectful of property, and was attentive to Sam. She went above and beyond by visiting during a time period she wasn’t booked for because she was concerned about him. I knew Sam was in good hands from then on - thanks for taking such good care of him!

Jessica was the best Rover experience! Tons of great photos where I could tell that my boys were comfortable and having fun! They were happy and calm when I arrived home, which also tells me they had a great time with her! She came and did a meet and greet before hand because my boys are nervous around strangers. Her check in text were detailed. I will be using her as a repeat customer and you should definitely use her if you have nervous pups, would look for good details and pics during the visits, and want your pups to be as happy as possible!
Madelyn has been an amazing sitter for our cat Bella. This is the second time we’ve had her and I cannot express how grateful we are as a family to have someone who genuinely loves and cares for our cat. Madelyn has afforded us peace of mind when we are away and it’s always so comforting to see the pictures she posts whenever she visits her. I highly recommend Madelyn. She is passionate in her work and truly takes time to understand a pet. Thank you Madelyn!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
