About: I’ve grown up having at least one, if not multiple pets. Dogs, cats, and fish. I’ve only recently taken up pet sitting, but have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, snakes and hedgehogs! I have some experience giving medication and ear drops. I am eager to continue learning! I promise to take care of your fur babies as though they’re my own! I work a part-time job in Lehi. I work Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and the occasional Saturday morning. I work no more than 5.5 hours per shift; I will make sure to give all the extra attention I have to taking care of your pets! I currently live in a small basement apartment, so for the animals sake, I’d prefer staying at the clients home. I’m happy to clean or do any other chores while I am there.
About: I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare where your pup is treated like family, not just “watched.” I am generally home all day and host one dog or one family at a time, so your pet receives personalized attention, a peaceful environment, and plenty of love, play, and one-on-one care throughout their stay. No crowded boarding situations. No overwhelming chaos. Just a safe, cozy home where dogs can settle in, relax, and feel comfortable. I have almost 30 years of hands-on experience, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and unique needs. My experience includes: • Owning and training dogs since I was 18 (almost 30 years) • 15 years fostering and helping to rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs • Animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services • Volunteer experience as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments • Pet First Aid & CPR certification • Experience administering oral and injectable medications • Currently enrolled in the GoodPup Dog Training Course to continue expanding my knowledge and skills My goal is simple: for you to feel completely at ease while your dog feels safe, loved, and right at home. I am generally home all day. I adjust my day around your pup(s). Energetic and needs a lot of exercise? We'll go for walks, hikes, and play to their hearts content. More of a couch potato? Laid back couch snuggles are one of my favorite pass times! Fur babies are rarely left alone. If I do need to step out, it is typically only for a short period of time, usually no more than a an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. Dogs staying with me enjoy a calm, home-based environment with plenty of love, attention, and one-on-one care. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, and more. Growing up around so many different species taught me how to understand their unique needs, personalities, and behaviors. My three dogs are my best friends but I treat every pet like they’re my own and strive to provide reliable, patient, and loving care so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands. I am currently home full-time, so I am able to give pets consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. No long periods of alone time! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I believe in treating every animal with the same love and respect I give my own pets, so I provide a loving, patient, and attentive environment where pets can feel secure. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.
About: I have hands-on experience providing attentive, compassionate care for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals. My responsibilities have included feeding, walking, administering medication, cleaning enclosures, and providing companionship and enrichment. Having grown up around animals and reputable breeding I’ve always been very hands-on and comfortable caring for pets of different personalities and needs. I am highly attentive to animal behavior and well-being, and I prioritize safety, cleanliness, communication, and trust in every interaction. I also have a close relationship with the veterinary field through family and personal connections — my sister is a veterinary nurse at a local office— which has helped deepen my understanding of proper pet care and animal health. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m able to plan my schedule around feedings, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications, and providing companionship and attention throughout the day. I enjoy spending time with animals and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and keeping pets comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and routine when caring for pets in both my home and a client’s home. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, personality, and needs to help them feel secure and comfortable while their owner is away. I keep environments clean, calm, and pet-safe by monitoring doors, food, water, medications, and any potential hazards. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, crate routines, medications, and exercise needs. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I believe in clear communication, updates, patience, and treating every animal like family.

“Samantha did a wonderful job watching my two cats. I'm always extra worried about one of them since she's so anxious around new people, but Samantha took the time to gain her trust day one. She showed up on time and sent great checkin updates each visit. I'll absolutely be booking Samantha again in the future.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for all types of animals since I was 7 years old. I’ve pet sat dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. My partner and I currently foster dogs as well. We’ve fostered puppies and senior dogs so we are both very well equipped to nurture any type of pup you have. We have given medication to our fosters and can accommodate your dog in any way you need us to. I’m currently a nanny. I drop the kids off at 8:40 AM to school and come home to spend the day with the dogs until I need to pick the kids up from school at 3:40. I am usually off work at 5:30 (no later) but by then my partner William is home with the dogs. At most, your pup will be along for two hours in the morning. We treat every animal like they are our own child. We will make sure to care for your pet in any specific way you need. All pets are allowed on our furniture, along with sleeping in bed with us. We are a very loving home who understands how vulnerable it is to leave you baby with someone else. We will make sure to send photos, video, and updates on your pet. If you want, you can also FaceTime us at any point to see how your pet is doing.
“London took care of our 2 cats for almost 3 weeks while we were on vacation. London did everything as requested and then some -- like watering our 20+ plants!!! We especially appreciated the daily pictures of our fur babies, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. London's gentle nature even helped our shy cat to feel trusting enough to come out of hiding to greet her.”

“Myia has been helping us with our senior dog. Dropping in to give him his medication and let him out potty. They have always been on time and communication has been great. I would recommend them for any of your pet care needs.”

“Dianna was great with our babies, we had her do dropins for a few days. She was very professional and upfront about everything and answered all our question as this was the first time we used the app or have every trusted someone with our pets. She definitely deserves her great rating and we will absolutely be booking with her again next time!! 🐾”

“Ashlie took such good care of Rossy! This was our first time using Rover so we were a little anxious, but Ashlie came and met her beforehand and we loved that! Super communicative all day with us and Rossy barely noticed we weren’t there!”

About: We are a family of animal lovers! We live on 2.5 acres (fully fenced) with dogs, one horse, 2 pigs and 1 tortoise. We also have 4 kids ages 8months to 19 years. I have regularly watched dogs for friends and coworkers over the past several years and have been taking clients on Rover since November 2024. We have experience with all dog sizes and energy levels. Our own dogs are sizes ranging from less than 10 lbs to 145 lbs! Energy levels are from fairly lazy to herding dog level! All our dogs are very well socialized and love when new friends come for a visit! Dogs loving coming to our house because they get to be dogs! They get a lot of exercise by simply exploring our property and playing with their friends. We will help them make friends with dogs that match their energy, work on social skills (when needed) and help them find the perfect toy when they want to play alone. We do our best to accommodate each dogs needs. We provide crates and dog beds. We both work but we alternate who is working from home so that there is always someone home during the day. Since we have our own dogs, we have a daily dog care routine. Our dogs get fed twice per day but we can accommodate other feeding schedules and work with dogs who are "grazers". Dogs typically play hard in the mornings and evenings but we have a designated rest time in the middle of the day to make sure no one gets cranky from getting too tired (yes it happens). Dogs are usually kept on the main level where they can play, get on the couch, lay on their dog beds, eat or ask to go outside. All our stairs have gates to prevent exploration into bedrooms. The main level (including outside) is where we spend most of our daytime hours. Our own dogs do not get walked regularly because they play with each other outside and sniff the property for exercise. We do play frisbee, fetch and tug games with them and we have taken them on hikes. We are wiling to walk dogs if desired. We do not have a dog door but let dogs in and out as they need. This allows us to keep track of where they are better and ensure they do not go out unsupervised.
“She was suchhhhh a big help. Our boy a pitbull with anxiety and for most he can be quite intimidating but they were über responsive, caring, and thoughtful throughout our whole time away from our dog. I cannot emphasize enough what a great job they did helping us care for our fur baby. Would recommend to anyone and everyone looking for walker/sitter”

“Amanda is very friendly and professional. She took good care our fur baby while we were out and played with her to keep her company. She also communicated well with us, reporting issues with our dog or house. She is ver trustworthy. Highly recommend!”

“My dogs loves Robert! He was very good with both of them, especially sensitive to their different needs. We have a 1 1/2 year old bernedoodle and a 13 year old lab. They both were taken very good care of and Robert was awesome with the communication.”

Elodie provides frequent updates, was very respectful of property, and was attentive to Sam. She went above and beyond by visiting during a time period she wasn’t booked for because she was concerned about him. I knew Sam was in good hands from then on - thanks for taking such good care of him!

Lindsay was amazing in checking in on our cat. He’s a bit shy but loves being around people and playing for a bit. We were afraid he’d be lonely while we were out and she checked his essentials but also played with him and brushed him. 10/10 will be rebooking her if she’s available for our next vacation.

Jessica was the best Rover experience! Tons of great photos where I could tell that my boys were comfortable and having fun! They were happy and calm when I arrived home, which also tells me they had a great time with her! She came and did a meet and greet before hand because my boys are nervous around strangers. Her check in text were detailed. I will be using her as a repeat customer and you should definitely use her if you have nervous pups, would look for good details and pics during the visits, and want your pups to be as happy as possible!
Valarie is wonderful…always 5 Star care and service! When we are away from home, we miss our kitties, but thanks to Valarie we don’t worry about them; we know they are in good hands. This allows us to fully enjoy ourselves when away. She is reliable, caring, and has a love for animals. She has a way about her that makes our skittish, shy cats trust her. I have dubbed her the Cat Whisperer. We 100% recommend her!

I loved working with Jennifer! She was very sweet and attentive to my cat while I was away, and quickly made me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby in her care. After her last visit, she even offered to let her know if I faced any delay in getting home and she would come back to check on her. I’ll definitely be booking with her again for any needs in the future!

Madelyn has been an amazing sitter for our cat Bella. This is the second time we’ve had her and I cannot express how grateful we are as a family to have someone who genuinely loves and cares for our cat. Madelyn has afforded us peace of mind when we are away and it’s always so comforting to see the pictures she posts whenever she visits her. I highly recommend Madelyn. She is passionate in her work and truly takes time to understand a pet. Thank you Madelyn!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
