About: with over 15 years of pet care, including a senior cat and a rescue dog with trauma, has taught me how to be patient, have empathy, and how to create a safe, loving space:) Currently, my flexible schedule prioritizes pet care. While completing minimal schoolwork at home, I devote most of my day to ensuring pets are safe, fed, and happy, drawing on years of experience with a senior outdoor cat and a rescued dog needing patient, attentive care. When caring for pets in my home, safety is my top priority. I have a secure backyard where dogs can enjoy fresh air and playtime. However since there are a few small gaps under the fence, i always use a leash-especially with small dogs-to nature they stay safe. The backyard fence however is tall with no gaps. Plus, i live in a great neighborhood (daybreak), which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. Weather im caring for pets in my home or yours, i make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and secure at all times. I tailor my are to each pets needs and always strive too maintain a calm, trustworthy environment.
“Michelle was amazing. We were gone for 10 days in Europe and have a senior dog and she was fantastic making sure Ruby was comfortable and well cared for in our home. She communicated frequently and with lots of pics so our minds were at ease. She was attentive and the house was well taken care of too. We love Michelle!”

“Stephanie house sat our dog and cat for a week whilst we went home to Australia. Although we were in a different time zone, her communication was great and she made sure to check in. She was kind, reliable and very trustworthy. We returned home to two very happy pets and a very clean house! Couldn’t recommend her more highly!!!”

“Sam is an amazing sitter! She handled our senior dog’s quirks with ease. We came home to a happy, healthy dog. Our home was clean and tidy. We will be booking Sam again soon!”
“Mark took amazing care of our pets on our vacation. Sent very thorough reports and pictures that left me with so much peace of mind. One of our cats got in a fight while we were gone and he took care of him like it was his own cat. I will absolutely use him again and would 100% recommend.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, and more. Growing up around so many different species taught me how to understand their unique needs, personalities, and behaviors. My three dogs are my best friends but I treat every pet like they’re my own and strive to provide reliable, patient, and loving care so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands. I am currently home full-time, so I am able to give pets consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. No long periods of alone time! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I believe in treating every animal with the same love and respect I give my own pets, so I provide a loving, patient, and attentive environment where pets can feel secure. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Kirk was wonderful with our two poodles. He sent lots of pictures and took them on plenty of hikes giving these two active dogs the exercise they need. The house was spotless upon our return. Highly recommend!”

“Callie did great at our house as a first time sitter watching our dogs. She was very accommodating and followed all the instructions we left, updating me frequently to ease any worry we had!”

“Karen was communicative and supportive and stayed with our dog the whole time we were away. We really appreciated her taking our sit at the last minute. Our home was as if no one had even been there. She did a great job and we'd book her again anytime!”

“Diana is a young professional and loves her job. She was willing to meet in advance and do an interview and meet our little guy, we instantly felt good about her. We’ve been through a number of pet sitters, and Diana is our favorite. She will house-sit & send photos/videos while you’re away and she’s able to stay with your baby for the majority of the day!”

“Samantha was so great! She was helpful and thoughtful taking care of things in our home based on situations that arose and used great common sense (a shockingly rare quality these days!). Our dog was happy and well cared for. Would absolutely book her again!”

“I feel so lucky I found Alexus to dogsit for us while away visiting family. I have two lab mixes that she quickly bonded with, even my timid dog who is very weary of strangers. They were snuggling and playing together within a day or two, I was (happily) shocked! One of our dogs got sick right before we had to leave on our trip, and Alexus took such good care of her and was always willing to go the extra mile for us when our dog needed to go to the vet while we were out of town. She was communicative and sent us daily photos and videos which I loved. She's the best!”

And if your okay with it I will probably cuddle with them if they let me hahaha Im currently not working so I’m generally very free and available! Please reach out and I’m happy to see if we can work out the time frame! I have a sweet pug upstairs and unfenced and fenced area in the back yard. Lots of dog beds and area to eat and hangout and air conditioning. Depending on your dog I will customize what I can!
“Lori took amazing care of Joy while I went out of town on a work trip. She treated her like she was her own and ensured she was a happy pup. I can’t thank her enough for her help in such a tight window. I appreciated the updates and pics throughout the week to let me know Hoy was in great hands. I highly recommend!”

“Alexandra was an amazing in-home dog sitter. She took excellent care of my senior dog, who has a specific diet and requires medication, and handled everything perfectly. She sent photos and updates a couple of times each day, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away from my boy. It was clear he was comfortable, happy, and very well cared for. I would absolutely book with Alexandra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter.”

“Meisha was booked last minute as a backup for my normal house sitter. I was nervous having my home and doggos watched by someone new for the first time in years but Meisha was fantastic. She clearly took the time to get to know my dogs personalities and bond with them individually. My home was clean & dogs happy when I returned from my trip. Will book again!”

MaCee was great! She took such good care of my fur babies while I was gone. She communicated with me daily and sent pictures. She also left my house clean and well taken care of. I would definitely say she went above and beyond! I will be booking with her again 😊

Katelyn, was fantastic with watching our house. We are fostering kittens and she took very great care of everyone and our home. She noticed behaviors and was so conscious about their health. She was also fabulous with our dogs. Played with our healer mix, and supported our finicky chihuahuas. I highly recommend her!

Hailey is so amazing! Right from the meet and greet I knew she was going to be a great dog sitter. She came ready with questions on a clipboard and asked all the things someone with experience would know to ask. During my trip she kept us updated which kept me feeling at ease about the dogs. One of my dogs had a bout of diarrhea and she graciously cleaned it all and even gave him a midnight bath. Coming home I wouldn’t even know he had an accident everywhere! I also came home to my house clean, tidied and vacuumed. I have used dozens of dog sitters on rover over the years and I can confidently say she’s the best we’ve ever met! So relieved to have found someone trustworthy and responsible to rely on for when we have future trips!

This was our first time using Jessica, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met her, we felt comfortable and knew our dogs were in good hands. She was incredibly communicative throughout our trip and never made me feel like I was being a worry wart. She understood that leaving your pets with someone new can be stressful and was always kind, responsive, and reassuring. Jessica took excellent care of our dogs, especially our French Bulldog, who requires extra attention in the Utah heat. She clearly took her responsibilities seriously, made sure they had plenty of potty and outdoor breaks, cleaned up after them, and paid close attention to their needs. She also took great care of our home, brought in our packages, and left everything just as we had hoped. We truly lucked out finding Jessica. We would absolutely book with her again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy Rover sitter.

Jennifer was exceptionally attentive and wonderful with all of our pets! She was excellent at providing updates and photos throughout our trip, made the extra effort to clean some messes, and went above and beyond for us. She has extensive experience caring for her own pets, some of which even having special needs and requiring specific care, as well as having a variety of repeat clients. I felt more than comfortable leaving our pets and home in her care and will definitely be using her again in the future. I absolutely can not recommend her enough!

We feel truly lucky to have found such an amazing person to care for Corporal. We know that not only Corporal’s needs are being met, we know that she is being shown love. It was great to get all the kisses and see the tail wagging when we got home. It was even better to have our dog curl up and fall asleep near us because she was tired from all the play time when we were gone.

Tasha stayed at our home for a week while we were traveling internationally, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. We have three corgis, each with their own unique personalities and quirks, and she handled them all wonderfully. Her communication was exceptional. She consistently sent photos and videos without prompting and responded to our messages quickly, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear our dogs were being cared for with genuine love and attention. Tasha was also incredibly trustworthy and respectful of our home. She’s fantastic with animals, and her professionalism and kindness truly stood out. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again in the future!

We are so glad we found Perla! She was a wonderful fit for our pups. She was reliable, communicated clearly, and sent lots of updates while we were away. When we got home, our house was clean, the dogs were fed, and they clearly seemed well loved. We’d happily have her watch them again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Herriman walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Herriman maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Herriman choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
