Tiffany did an amazing job for us. She spent the week with my cat and dog and she sent me updates and photos everyday. She was also quick to respond to my texts. I plan to hire her the next time we leave town if she isn’t already booked. You won’t go wrong with having Tiffany stay in your home with your pets.

About: I’ve loved dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have had pets for most of my life. I have experience caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as pets belonging to family members. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I will always care for them with patience, kindness, and attention. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility to care for pets. I’m available for house sitting on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I’m also available during the daytime on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. My availability varies on weekends, but I always keep my Rover calendar updated so you can see when I’m available. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and loving care. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions and routine. I make sure pets have fresh water, meals on time, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I keep doors and gates secure, maintain a clean and safe environment, and send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

Mia was wonderful with my cats and provided a great deal of comfort and care while I was gone. I unexpectedly lost service for more than a day and I was pleased with Mia's update when I found service again and that she was able to independently problem solve a picky-eater situation with ease when she wasn't able to talk with me. When I walked into my home this afternoon I am near certain it was cleaner than when I left it. Mia is really sweet and it's clear she loves cats

About: I've had dogs all my life and adore them all!! Friends and family come to me a lot when they need help with their dogs and I'm always willing to lend a hand. I'm currently not working, I start college in the spring where I hope to build an education on becoming a vet. Which is why I'm going to enjoy the days as I take care of pets on a daily. I'm always home so whenever you need me I'll be there. I have a fenced backyard with lots of space, if your puppy is kennel trained he/she will have easy access to one. We've got bunch of toys and two sweet German Shepherds who have tons of playing energy!

Haydyn is such a wonderful sitter! She’s very kind, keeps you updated with pictures of your pets, and was available with a short notice. Our puppies adored her, she played with them, gave them belly rubs, cuddled them(they love attention and cuddles), she was a perfect pick for them. Our cat who has a lot of attitude and usually hides from anyone who is not my husband and I, loved her too! She was hanging out around her all weekend and loved getting to know Haydyn, which meant SO MUCH for us and definitely made us feel like we found the best sitter. We will be rebooking with her in the future and I know all our pets will be so happy to see her again. 100% recommend booking with Haydyn.

Kaitlyn watched Coco and Charlie and I’m honestly someone who doesn’t trust people easily, especially when it comes to my dogs. Both of them need meds and have their own quirks, so it’s not simple. She handled everything so well. I didn’t have to worry or check in constantly, which says a lot for me. They were calm, cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. You can tell she actually pays attention and cares, not just going through the motions. I’d have her watch them again without hesitation!

Theresa was awesome! From the beginning her communication was great, when she came to meet with Dolly and my wife and I it was very clear that she wanted to know about Dolly and her routine, and it very obvious that she loves dogs…as soon as she showed up Dolly had made a new friend. She sent great photo updates and left our home exactly as it was when she showed up to house sit. I absolutely hope to have her help us again in the future. Thanks Theresa!

Ash was great. She was very thorough about getting to know our pets routines and their boundaries which is amazing! Our anxious/reactive dog was happy to cuddle up with her and she did a good job at administering all of our pets medication. She clearly cares about animals a lot and has a very gentle and calm attitude with pets. Our cat that hates and gets aggressive with everyone but us seemed to hit it off with her which is awesome! I would definitely recommend Ash!

Claire is absolutely fantastic—we would 100% recommend her! She took wonderful care of our very loving (and very clingy 😂) cat for three weeks while we were away. It was the first time we’d ever left him for that long, so we were pretty nervous since he needs A LOT of human attention and affection. Claire immediately put our minds at ease with frequent updates and lots of photos of them playing, cuddling, and spending time together. Our cat took to her right away, and it was clear they became fast friends! We came home to a very happy cat and a spotless house. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Claire, we’ll absolutely be booking with you again in the future!

Amanda was fantastic! Honest, reliable, and wonderful with our two cats — including our kitten, who no doubt gave her a run for her money. She was the perfect house guest, staying with us for a full 20 days while we traveled across the country for a wedding in Vermont and a birthday celebration in Florida. On top of house-sitting and looking after our 20+ plants, she sent adorable cat photos throughout the day and followed all of my (admittedly very detailed) instructions to the letter. Would 100% book her again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Draper

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Draper on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,747 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Draper. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Draper walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Draper maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Draper choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Draper. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
