I have an animal aggressive dog where I am living currently, so I cannot bring your pets to my home for safety concerns but I am more than happy to watch them at your home!

Information Jelyssa B. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet resource guards, has a medical condition, is timid of new people, or any other quirks you think are important for me to know before caring for them! I am willing to adjust completely to their needs, and routine.

A typical day

I love to do trick training, playing your dogs preferred method of play (tug, fetch, etc), going for walks, running around outside, and providing your dog with plenty of mental stimulation and exercise! As well as cuddling/giving them lots of pets or just letting them hangout next to me and take a nap if that is more their speed. :)

Pet care experience

Leaving your dog or cat in the hands of anyone is scary, but especially a stranger. You can rest easy knowing your pet will be in the hands of someone with 8 years of personal experience and 3 years of professional experience in the pet care industry and has had extensive training to care for animals! I have worked in multiple dog daycares/boarding facilities, I have completed Knowing Dogs 101 and Knowing Dogs 201 from the Dog Gurus dog body language training courses so I can easily read dog body language and am very knowledgeable about different breeds and temperaments. I am Cat/Dog first aid/CPR certified and have experience putting that training to use. I have had cats and dogs my whole life, I am comfortable with dogs of ALL ages/sizes/breeds. I can comfortably and easily administer all medications, including insulin. I also have 2 years of dog grooming experience (no haircuts), so I can handle more anxious/fearful dogs for nail trims/baths! I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, and I love to build new bonds with different animals! I understand every animal is different, and I am willing to put in the effort to make your animal feel comfortable and safe with me. Meeting new people can be very scary, and I acknowledge and respect the boundaries of all animals. You can also expect lots of cute pictures and updates while they are with me when you’re away to ease your mind that they are being well-cared for!

Jelyssa has been sitting for us for nearly a year. She's reliable, a good communicator and quite understanding of my anxious dog. I ca relaz and enjoy my time away when she's caring for Bonnie.

Jelyssa has taken care of our pups a few times now and she is great! One of our dogs is fearful of strangers and she interacts with him wonderfully. She lets him initiate interactions and he's come to love her. Also, our dogs would rough-play together and she was able to manage and keep their interactions safe and fun. I don't trust a lot of people to do that but she handled it great and I was able to not worry about it while we were on our trips. I would definitely recommend her as a sitter, especially if you have animals with extra behavioral needs.
