“Sarah was amazing with our family dog. She was patient and calming for him in addition to taking care of his needs. Her care was exceptional and gentle. I recommend her talent in caring for others.”

“Hanna and Mica get along famously! Mica is very comfortable with her, and Hanna sends the cutest photos ever day :-). We will use her services whenever we have to leave our baby at home for travel.”

“Trevor was awesome and super helpful. He was able to stop by last minute when our friends could no longer come by which helped me out a lot. Overall a great sitter!”

“Absolutely thrilled with the exceptional care Claire provided for our cat! From the moment we met her, we felt confident leaving him in her hands. Our cat, who can be a bit shy, quickly warmed up to her, which was such a relief for us. Claire was incredibly responsive throughout our time away, providing us with regular updates and lots of adorable photos of Bob lounging and playing. It was heartwarming to see how comfortable he was, and it truly put our minds at ease while we were traveling.”

“Sami is awesome! We ended up just giving her a key to our apartment and would ask her frequently and often with short notice to come by and take our dog Rey out if we would be away for several hours, which was a huge help. She was great with Rey and always played with her and was very attentive to her needs.”

“Anika was an amazing pet sitter. She took such wonderful care of our cat. She came daily to feed her, play with her, and clean her litterbox. Anika was extremely communicative, and even let me know that my cat had an accident. She even took a picture of it and cleaned it up so well that there was no sign of it when we came home. She even offered to brush our cat and went above and beyond. Anika is caring, kind, and attentive. I will definitely hire her again in the future!”

“Alyssa was SO good with my 16-week old golden retriever puppy! Not only was she responsive and prompt, but after we met, it was clear she knew what she was doing. I was looking for someone who would be patient and understanding with my pup, given her development, and Alyssa was perfect! It was clear she loved my pup and my pup loved her!”

“Madeleine was so loving to our kitty, and she was good at communicating updates/questions/concerns when they came up. I do prefer tighter scheduling communication/appointments, but she was great for the things that mattered.”

“London was delightful. She helped me out in a pinch when I had to go on a sudden work trip and I am forever grateful to have found her. She communicates often and really put my heart and mind at ease. She took great care of my kitties. I 💯 recommend and look forward to having her watch my boys again.”

About: We would love to watch your dog for you in whatever capacity you need. We took a break from rover due to traveling so much with our kids for competitive sports but things have calmed down a bit, so we are back and ready to meet your little buddy. We have owned dogs ourselves for over 20 years and we have been around dogs our entire life. We will ensure to take care of your dogs needs just the same as we take care of our own. We love Most dogs! Ha! I have a 12 year old daughter that loves dogs as well and will give your dog lots of attention. We will provide exercise ( I will walk them daily if they are able) , a large fenced in yard, attention, care, and lots and lots of playtime (my dogs are very social and kind and would love to play with your dog as well). Our dog Koa is now 9 years old and our dog Blue is 4 and they both positively interacts with all dogs. No aggression. I need your dog crate trained for bedtime and when I leave the house for short periods of time. I need to build trust with your dog before I give them free run of my house. We can't wait to meet your dog. Thanks for considering us! I'm a stay at home active mom. We spent lots of time out back fetching, running and soaking up sunshine. I may even take your pup for a run or walk if they are able. I have two dogs myself, so we can rotate dogs for walks. I just recently sat a very anxious dog and I had to build trust with him. I think It was overwhelming at first coming into a new house w two new playful pups.... I gave him treats to build trust, got down on his level and he was my shadow within a day for the remainer of his stay. I recently walked a golden and our first walk was very difficult( not sure she’s ever had that experience ). With the right tools and discipline, she was walking by my side the next day. I watched her for two weeks and she’s a diff dog than she was 2 weeks ago. She’s obedient, digging less, responsive to my commands and keeping her paws off the counter. I feel like structure , attention and discipline are my strengths in my household.
“Makenna is very reliable. I love that I don’t have to worry about Bilbo while at work because I know Makenna’s got it! She’s also very flexible which is much appreciated since my needs will vary.”

“Myia has been helping us with our senior dog. Dropping in to give him his medication and let him out potty. They have always been on time and communication has been great. I would recommend them for any of your pet care needs.”

About: 🐶🐱🏳️🌈About Me 🏳️🌈🐱🐶 Hi! I’m a dependable dog and cat sitter who genuinely loves animals. I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for years, and it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats and happy to provide pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, or relaxing with company, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Animals have always been my favorite company, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, and making sure your pet gets the attention they deserve. I'm a full time student for an online university and am free to babysit your fur babies anytime. Cuddles and kisses are the best for homework. I follow instructions, am comfortable creating boundaries and maintaining a safe environment for your pet while giving plenty of loves, treats, and walks. I’m happy to do a meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your pet feel comfortable.
“Michelle Is great with my kitty, she sends pictures and videos and written summaries, which I really appreciate. She is very helpful to me and my kitty. I appreciate her services so much. She is very responsive and caring.”

“Lindsey was super flexible in assisting us in a last minute situation. Her communication was excellent and she gave us frequent updates regarding our dog which made us feel at ease. We would highly recommend her.”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 15 years. In the last 10 years I have been fostering retired racing grey hounds and huskies so I'm ready to give every dog in between the care and attention they deserve. I have regularly watched friends and families animals since I was young and am excited to get back into it. Please let me be your peace of mind the next time you're out of town! I'm currently working full-time from 2pm to 10pm M-F in Draper. I would be available during the day to check in with your bestie and would be happy to do so! I prefer to keep my bookings small and progressive to ensure I give each dog my full attention to keep them safe and happy. This means that I prefer walking in quiet neighborhoods with reliable sidewalks instead of a park with more distractions so I can get familiar with your dog's responses, and they can get familiar with me, during our first few walks together. Even while I worked as a mail lady for USPS, I still won over the dogs and cats on my route.
“Callie was amazing! I had booked last minute travel and needed someone to watch Gracie. I haven’t left Gracie for nearly 3 years and was very nervous to do so. Callie was very quick to respond, kept me updated with lots of pics, and took such great care of Gracie. She’s an absolute angel.”

I was so concerned about leaving my 1 year old kitty alone while we went on a five day trip. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah she came twice a day for one hour each time and sent pictures showing how my kitty was doing. After the first day my concerns were gone. I will definitely use Sarah again the next time we need a sitter.

Anika was an amazing pet sitter. I will definitely hire her again in the future!

I have booked with Caroline multiple times for my two cats. I am the type to always worry about my pets while I’m away, but her experience, knowledge, and communication helps put me at ease! Even on my longest trips, I know they’re always well taken care of! Thank you Caroline!

Evelyn did a great job with my blind lab. We moved into a new house one week before I was leaving, and my dog would not go down the stairs into the back yard. Evelyn worked with her 3x per day to get her to the yard, and when I got back my dog was easily going up and down the stairs. This was a life saver!!! Very happy doggy, very happy me! I would give 100 stars if I could.
Jordane was very punctual, took great car of our cat. Always made sure we had daily communication and pictures and was very trustworthy with our residence. Played with our cat and took great care of here needs. I would highly recommend Jordane for sitter care.

Marta was an EXCEPTIONAL sitter with our cat Mittens. She took such good care of her during our vacation: the photos she sent and the daily updates showed how well she was taken care of and I was more than reassured. The family and I felt like it was the best care she ever received. Marta is so friendly, warm, responsible, punctual, and great with our cat. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a sitter for their special pet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marta!

Lily took great care of our kitties for an extended holiday trip, giving daily updates so we knew the kitties were doing well! She was proactive in asking about a few house-care related things, and when we came back, all was well with the cats and the house. We'll be back in touch for future trips!

Amazing! Thank you so much. Lela was perfect at checking in on the doggies and giving them attention and care! We will definitely ask again on any and all future trips. Peace of mind was everything. Handled a minor paw injury and made sure food and water were always full. Astrid and Vega were very well taken care of. Thanks again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
