“Caroline was great with our cat! She checked in with us after each visit, which made us feel so comfortable and let us know our cat was well cared for. We highly recommend Caroline and would gladly work with her again!”

About: I have taken care of family and friends pets for years. I love knowing that they are loved and safe while people I know are busy and can’t take care of their pet. I myself have had many different kinds of pets growing up and now and have taken care of and spent time with them multiple times every day for years. I always make sure my pets are clean, well-fed, safe, healthy, and aware that they are loved. I am currently a part time student and and love that I am able to do this whenever I am free and aside from my online school schedule. I care for mine and others pets by making sure they are well-fed, never lonely, kept clean, kept healthy, and are aware that they have plenty of attention and love.
“We are so incredibly grateful for the love and care our senior boy received during his drop-in visit! He has some mobility issues, and she was so patient and attentive, physically assisting him when he went out to the bathroom so he wouldn't slip or fall. She handled his lunch and medication perfectly, and most of all, she showered him with genuine affection. It is clear she truly loves animals, especially the sweet seniors who need a little extra grace. We highly recommend her and will absolutely be booking again!”
“Alaina always does a great job with our kitties. She not only feeds them and cleans their litter boxes, but she takes great care to learn their personalities and preferences to give them just the attention they need when I’m away. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that Alaina is watching my girls when I’m not able to.”

“Jen took such great care of our cats! They had a great time and love it when they see her. We appreciated all the photos and communication. We will be using her again.”

“Samantha was great! We usually book another person for our cats but Samantha was able to fill-in last minute for our trip. She took care of everything that needed to be done for our cats and spent time with them. I highly recommend Samantha.”

“London was delightful. She helped me out in a pinch when I had to go on a sudden work trip and I am forever grateful to have found her. She communicates often and really put my heart and mind at ease. She took great care of my kitties. I 💯 recommend and look forward to having her watch my boys again.”

“Myia has done a fantastic job. She leaves detailed notes on each visit and sends pictures of my dogs. My dogs like having her visit and Myia does a great job at meeting the needs of my dogs.”

“Hanna and Mica get along famously! Mica is very comfortable with her, and Hanna sends the cutest photos ever day :-). We will use her services whenever we have to leave our baby at home for travel.”

“Madeleine was so loving to our kitty, and she was good at communicating updates/questions/concerns when they came up. I do prefer tighter scheduling communication/appointments, but she was great for the things that mattered.”

“Eva is great with our anxious pup. She’s flexible with last minute schedule changes and that’s very helpful. Ginger loves her weekly visits and her little walks around the neighborhood.”

About: I’ve had pets for all of my 30 years and have learned how to give shots, medications, and special diets. From puppies/kittens to elderly dogs/cats. I love all animals the same, and care for them as I would my own. I am looking for a part time job on Rover and don’t work anywhere else. I’m available almost any days and times as Rover is my main priority. I will provide a safe, quiet, patient energy, or a playful and fun environment depending on your pet’s needs. I will never leave them unattended and always be aware of unsafe areas. I will give their medication and shots correctly every time if needed.
“Callie was amazing! I had booked last minute travel and needed someone to watch Gracie. I haven’t left Gracie for nearly 3 years and was very nervous to do so. Callie was very quick to respond, kept me updated with lots of pics, and took such great care of Gracie. She’s an absolute angel.”

“Cooper was amazing with our dog. She was professional, prompt, communicative, and really cared. This was my first time using Rover, so I was a bit apprehensive. I felt comfortable with Cooper immediately and our dog loved her. Would absolutely book her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Amanda made this such a positive first experience. She was easy to communicate with and fast to reply, was willing to meet up before and after to exchange keys, and sent pictures and updates each visit. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing that Amanda was taking good care of my cats and giving them the love that I wasn’t able to from a distance. I had such a great experience with Amanda and would recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

Jordane was very punctual, took great car of our cat. Always made sure we had daily communication and pictures and was very trustworthy with our residence. Played with our cat and took great care of here needs. I would highly recommend Jordane for sitter care.

Marta was an EXCEPTIONAL sitter with our cat Mittens. She took such good care of her during our vacation: the photos she sent and the daily updates showed how well she was taken care of and I was more than reassured. The family and I felt like it was the best care she ever received. Marta is so friendly, warm, responsible, punctual, and great with our cat. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a sitter for their special pet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marta!

Lily took great care of our kitties for an extended holiday trip, giving daily updates so we knew the kitties were doing well! She was proactive in asking about a few house-care related things, and when we came back, all was well with the cats and the house. We'll be back in touch for future trips!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
