Information Shannon Y. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know your cats hiding spots and anything too look out for health wise while your gone. I’d like to know how your dog does on a leash, around other dogs, and around strangers so I can ensure they feel safe and happy at all times. I’m happy to water plants or grab mail while you’re out of town.
A typical day
I enjoy spending quality time with the animals I care for and am very interested in supporting any behavior training you and your dog (or cat!) are working on. If you’re gone for long enough I might teach your cat to sit. I want to do whatever your pet loves best. Cuddles on the couch? Long neighborhood walks? Car rides? I’m there.

Pet care experience
I’m back to let sitting after moving out do state and returning to Utah! I’ve always had animals in my life and the best job I ever had was working at a vet clinic as a kennel tech. I currently only have 2 cats, but I have experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fresh/saltwater tanks, birds, rodents, & tarantulas. I love watching pets of all species from cats to dogs to hedgehogs.I have recent experience giving medication oral and subcutaneous to both dogs and cats. I have a history of caring for special needs or sick pets and am super comfortable with any medication needs. I currently pet sitting full time so I am generally very available. I am unable to sleep over as my own cat has some health issues, but I will always make sure to provide early morning and late night potty breaks and play time to make sure your best friend gets the love and attention they need. I am passionate about animal behavior and am comfortable with nervous dogs or animals that are learning new behaviors. I am fluent in cat body language and enjoy the patience it sometimes takes to make new feline friends.

Reviews

Shannon was very communicative, reliable, and considerate. She took care of my two cats (drop in visits) for a few weeks, and because she was so attentive and reliable I didn't need to worry at all! I would absolutely recommend Shannon!

Shannon was fantastic! Based on all the pictures she sent, our cat had an awesome time with her. Extremely responsive, adaptable, and sweet! 10/10 would suggest

Shannon has watched our cat twice and she’s a great sitter! She’s very communicative and sends lots of pics. Our cat loves her!

Shannon is great. Our dog Rosie gets very anxious when we leave and she can be high maintenance. Shannon was amazing. She sent lots of pics of her and Rosie and they bonded quickly. She took great care of our house. I would love to have Shannon every time we go out of town.
