About: I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare where your pup is treated like family, not just “watched.” I am generally home all day and host one dog or one family at a time, so your pet receives personalized attention, a peaceful environment, and plenty of love, play, and one-on-one care throughout their stay. No crowded boarding situations. No overwhelming chaos. Just a safe, cozy home where dogs can settle in, relax, and feel comfortable. I have almost 30 years of hands-on experience, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and unique needs. My experience includes: • Owning and training dogs since I was 18 (almost 30 years) • 15 years fostering and helping to rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs • Animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services • Volunteer experience as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments • Pet First Aid & CPR certification • Experience administering oral and injectable medications • Currently enrolled in the GoodPup Dog Training Course to continue expanding my knowledge and skills My goal is simple: for you to feel completely at ease while your dog feels safe, loved, and right at home. I am generally home all day. I adjust my day around your pup(s). Energetic and needs a lot of exercise? We'll go for walks, hikes, and play to their hearts content. More of a couch potato? Laid back couch snuggles are one of my favorite pass times! Fur babies are rarely left alone. If I do need to step out, it is typically only for a short period of time, usually no more than a an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. Dogs staying with me enjoy a calm, home-based environment with plenty of love, attention, and one-on-one care. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.
“It’s such a joy to be able to leave our pets in such good hands. Makenzie is a fantastic housesitter. We have 2 large dogs and a cat. They ask us to go on vacation so they can see Makenzie again and again. 100 percent satisfaction every time.”

About: I have hands on experience caring for dogs through walking, in home sitting, while following routines that help our doggos feel safe. What sets me apart is my reliability, clear communication, and the care I take to understand each dog's individual needs, personality, and comfort level rather than treating visits as rushed check-ins. I intentionally structure my daily and weekly routine around pet care, allowing flexibility for walks, check-ins, and in home sitting while ensuring each dog receives reliable, unrushed attention. When caring for pets in a clients home, I treat both the pet and the space with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I take time to learn each dog's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and secure while away. Safety is always my top priority. I double check doors, gates, leashes, and feeding instructions, and I stay attentive during walks and potty breaks to avoid stressful or unsafe situations. I keep a calm, consistent energy so pets feel at ease, especially those who experience anxiety when their owners are away. I'm mindful of your home environment as well, I keep things clean, follow house rules closely, and leave your space just as I found it (or better). I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing and can relax knowing they're in good hands. My goal is simple: for your pet to feel safe, cared for, and happy - and for you to feel confident trusting me in your home.
“Sharon did a fantastic job watching Hank and Milo in my home. She followed all instruction given and sent many cute photos of the dogs during her stay. I came back to a clean home and very happy dogs. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Michelle was an absolute DREAM to have watch Chester. The updates she would give were so descriptive and playful. She really went the extra mile to make sure our dog had the best experience possible and that we were not stressed at all about leaving him in her hands. She was incredibly kind and considerate to all our needs and was very communicative. We would absolutely book her again and look forward to doing so!”

“I was so impressed with Tawny. I have never left my dogs with a dog care center before. All three with different personalities and he took care of everyone of their needs. I loved that he took him on a field trip that they really enjoyed. I would highly recommend Toni to take care of your dog. Thank you Tawny for making my dogs feel special.”

“Katelyn stayed at my house with my 2 dogs for over a week while I was out of town. She did a great job. The dogs were well cared for and I didn't have to worry about a thing. She sent pictures and updates every day. She also took amazing care of the house. She took care of my plants, took the garbage out, checked the mail, and left it clean and tidy. I hope she will be back.”

About: I am a high school math teacher and mom of two teens and a lab mix rescue. I love dogs of all sizes and ages and have had pets in my home for the last 15 years. If your dog is staying in my home, I have a large fenced yard with a grassy area and plenty of green space for play and a walking trail for walks close by. My home has lots of tile so dogs/puppies are given free range of the house and lots of interaction between my kids and other pets. I do have pet play pens and crates available if you prefer utilizing them during your stay (just let me know) and all dogs are fed in separate areas. Puppies and dogs of all personalities (high energy, cuddly, relaxed, elderly, etc) are definitely welcome in our home! My dog loves to play tug of war and wrestle with those dogs willing but she also respects dogs that just want to be left alone. I have a large pet door for dogs to use if they feel comfortable. Dogs become part of my family during their stay here and are given extra love by myself and children so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I send pic updates during the stay just to give owners extra peace of mind as well. I look forward to spending time with your fur babies!
“Alexus is wonderful! My animals loved her, she's very caring and great with animals. Alexus is easy to work with and sent dsily pictures and recap of the day! She's great 🩷”

“Outstanding! Mark sets the gold standard, then goes above and beyond! We were so nervous leaving our fur babies. Yet Mark immediately eased our concerns. He's so thorough, you can tell he really loves the animals, not just a job. When I forgot about the treat schedule, he gladly included it. I loved so much his regular messages with all the photos. I could see he did everything to perfection! He took time to love on and pet our babies. He didn't have to, but that extra touch brought our babies comfort when we couldn't be home. His messages even included relevant concern for the husband and myself while we were on vacation. He not only took excellent care of our fur babies, but also our home. You could not have any better sitter than Mark!”

“Kimberly was so good with our three dogs and two cats. She kept in touch, sent us pictures everyday and if she had any questions she was so good about contacting us. Two of the pets required daily medication that she made sure they got. We are so happy with the way she spoiled our fur babies!! We definitely would have her back again. Thanks Kimberly!!??⬛?????!!”
