“Sarah is great! I have my puppy going to her weekly for daycare. He always comes home tired and happy. Sarah sends pictures and videos throughout the day so I know how he's doing and she is always very responsive to messages. Definitely recommend!”
“Callee took my 10 week puppy with no hesitation. She provides top notch care, she’s very attentive, sends photos and gives Lainey lots of love. She is also helping with potty training which I appreciate. We are a repeat client because the care is so good! Highly recommended!!”

“Jessica was great. Maggie and Claire could not have had better treatment. I’m surprised they came home with me. I was updated how they were doing and it was obvious they were getting the best of care and plenty of attention. A sleepy dog is always a good sign they had fun at daycare!”

“Sharon was so great, easy to work with and Finn was well taken care of which made the first time leaving him so much easier. Thanks so much for taking such good care of our Finn:).”

“Mikelle was amazing! Our high-energy puppy came home every day happy and tired. She was our first Rover sitter and if we return to SLC in the future, we will definitely be booking her again!”

About: Privately insured. I’ve always had many different kids of pets and I’m comfortable with large and small breed dogs as well as cats. I have a large three level townhome with a three year old husky mix and some awesome teenage kids to play with if your baby is ready for some fun. I have plenty of space inside, as well as options for kennels. We do twice daily long walks if the weather is good, and plenty of short potty breaks throughout the day. I have a flexible schedule and I can give your pets attention, play time and potty breaks as needed. I like sending updates throughout your pets stay so that you have fun pics and videos to see what we’ve been up to every day :) I have a playful, friendly pooch of my own, but he doesn’t need to interact with your pets if anyone is feeling uncomfortable. Cats and dogs are kept separate, and meals and bones are separate as well, with no free access to the kitchen. I have experience with special needs animals and medication management. I have no preference on the size or breed of your babies; we welcome them all here as long as everyone is safe!
“It’s been a few weeks now that I have been taking Malla to stay with Desiree for day care and she continues to love it! She is so excited when we arrive and has so much fun playing while she is there. She is wiped out when I get her home! I highly recommend Desiree if you want your doggo to be in excellent hands!”

About: Hi! I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve had a special place in my heart for dogs. Now as an adult, I truly understand they’re so much more than pets — they’re family. That’s exactly how we treat every dog who stays in our home — like one of our own. Your fur baby will be welcomed into a safe, loving, dog-friendly environment filled with attention, affection, and personalized care. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, walks, or just relaxing together, your pup will never feel alone. I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away, and I promise to care for your dog with the same love and dedication I give my own. You can rest assured they’ll be happy, safe, and well cared for while in our home. We can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐾 I’m a stay-at-home mom to two boys, and our home is truly full of doggy love! Because I’m home throughout the day, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to care for your pet according to their specific routine and needs. Whether it’s feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, outdoor breaks, cuddle time, or special instructions, I pay close attention to detail to make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. Your pup will receive consistent attention, plenty of affection, and a safe, structured environment while staying with us. Our home is designed with dogs in mind! We have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and plenty of sunshine for pups who love to bask — plus lots of shade for when they’re ready to cool off. We also have extra crates available if your dog prefers or needs one for comfort or routine. Inside, we have a special room dedicated just to our furry guests so they have their own cozy space to relax and feel at home. We’re located in a wonderful, walk-friendly neighborhood and are close to parks for fun outings and extra exercise. Your dog will have space to play, room to relax, and all the love and attention they deserve while they’re here!
“Tara and her son were great with my puppy. A 9 week old puppy can be a lot, but when I picked her up, she was very much tired. And it was nice to hear they took her to a park to play and run around. Id definitely trust Tara with my pup again.”
“This was the first time we have used rover and cami and Steve were amazing. They sent us a pic soon after we left to make sure he was doing good. I would definitely recommend them”

“This was my first time using Rover and I think Rubio had a wonderful time! I know he got a wonderful walk and lots of snuggles and loves from kids and adults. I’m so glad I chose them to be my doggy daycare for the day. I would definitely choose them again if they’re available next time”
“Valarie was able to watch our dog during a last minute emergency. She was so professional, and so pleasant to work with. She made sure to accommodate the needs of our dog, and our sweet Golden Retriever was so happy when she came home. We are grateful for Valarie and we would happily work with her again ? thanks Valarie!”

“Thank you Sachi for getting Chico out for walks and spending the day with him. It is so fun to see the updates and makes me happy that he is getting some social activity. Thank you!”

About: I have cared for all types of pets since I was 10 years old! I have always had a deep love for animals and am the go to pet sitter for all my friends and family. I promise to treat them like family! I am home a lot of the day so I will have plenty of time to spend time with your pets and do what I can to keep to their schedule and routine to create the least amount of stress on them as possible. I live in a townhome. Have a fenced front yard and can take them on walks or play outside often. I have a friendly dog and cat. I can crate the dog easily and separate the cat if that is what’s preferred.
About: We are a family of animal lovers! We live on 2.5 acres (fully fenced) with dogs, one horse, 2 pigs and 1 tortoise. We also have 4 kids ages 8months to 19 years. I have regularly watched dogs for friends and coworkers over the past several years and have been taking clients on Rover since November 2024. We have experience with all dog sizes and energy levels. Our own dogs are sizes ranging from less than 10 lbs to 145 lbs! Energy levels are from fairly lazy to herding dog level! All our dogs are very well socialized and love when new friends come for a visit! Dogs loving coming to our house because they get to be dogs! They get a lot of exercise by simply exploring our property and playing with their friends. We will help them make friends with dogs that match their energy, work on social skills (when needed) and help them find the perfect toy when they want to play alone. We do our best to accommodate each dogs needs. We provide crates and dog beds. We both work but we alternate who is working from home so that there is always someone home during the day. Since we have our own dogs, we have a daily dog care routine. Our dogs get fed twice per day but we can accommodate other feeding schedules and work with dogs who are "grazers". Dogs typically play hard in the mornings and evenings but we have a designated rest time in the middle of the day to make sure no one gets cranky from getting too tired (yes it happens). Dogs are usually kept on the main level where they can play, get on the couch, lay on their dog beds, eat or ask to go outside. All our stairs have gates to prevent exploration into bedrooms. The main level (including outside) is where we spend most of our daytime hours. Our own dogs do not get walked regularly because they play with each other outside and sniff the property for exercise. We do play frisbee, fetch and tug games with them and we have taken them on hikes. We are wiling to walk dogs if desired. We do not have a dog door but let dogs in and out as they need. This allows us to keep track of where they are better and ensure they do not go out unsupervised.

About: I've been raised with all sorts of animals, and have been watching dogs for 8 years, as well as cats, horses, livestock, fish, and reptiles. I also have completed a Veterinary Assistant Course. I work from home and am almost always open for pet sitting! I can come to your house or have your pets come to my place. I have 3 small dogs at home who get along well with other pets. I will only watch dogs at my house if they're vaccinated, potty trained, and not aggressive. Our backyard is completely fenced! I have experience in watching pets that are seniors or with special needs, if you're looking for someone that knows how to give medicine, shots and that has patience and love for all animals, even when they need special care, I'm your gal!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Herriman
Nikolai loved his time with Amber, Tristan and the other dogs that were there at the time of the visit. A meet and greet was arranged before the full stay to make sure Nikolai fit in well with the group. A few amazing pictures were provided afterwards detailing his time there. It was very obvious how excited Nikolai was to be there when we pulled up. We would be happy to have Nikolai stay again

We are so grateful to Valerie for taking such wonderful care of our dog on such an important evening while we attended our daughter’s wedding. She was able to help us at the last minute, which meant so much to our family. From the moment we dropped our dog off, we felt reassured knowing she was in loving hands. When we came to pick her up, she was so calm and content—which has never happened before. That alone showed us how comfortable, cared for, and loved she was during her stay. We truly can’t express how thankful we are for Valerie’s kindness, flexibility, and excellent care. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring pet sitter.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Herriman commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
