“She was amazing and accepted our request late notice. Our dogs loved her. We have a pit bull and some are afraid of him. Hes a sweet boy and she had no problems. I highly recommend 👌 Thank you and we will ask for you again and again”

“Spencer was great with our senior pittie. He worked with her some on her separation anxiety. He arrived on time and left on time. He is a gem of a sitter and we look forward to having him back.”

“I was worried about having to go on a trip since my elderly pets need extra care but Alyssa did an amazing job and I came home to happy kitty and dog. Responded very fast, was easy to set up the check ins, and sent update photos asking the way. Would definitely recommend, thank you so much !”

About: Hi, I’m Miranda, but you can call me Manda! If you’re looking for a sitter who truly understands canine behavior, boundaries, and safety, your pet is in experienced hands. I currently work at a professional dog daycare, boarding, and training facility, where my daily routine revolves around managing dogs of all sizes, breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. From high-energy playgroups to sensitive, cautious pups, I spend every day reading body language and creating safe, low-stress environments. Specialized Experience with Complex Behaviors & Medical Care Many dogs don't fit into the typical one-size-fits-all pet care model, and that's okay! Through my facility work, I regularly manage: Medication Administration: Experienced in administering daily oral medications and supplements, including direct pill-pilling when a dog refuses food or pill pockets. Reactivity & Leash Frustration: Safe, vigilant handling for dogs reactive to other dogs, bikes, or strangers on walks. Aggression & Boundary Sensitivity: Working respectfully with dogs who guard resources, dislike being handled or touched unexpectedly, or need slow, low-pressure introductions. Muzzle Support: Calm, positive handling for dogs conditioned to or requiring basket muzzles for safety. Structured Routines: Consistent reinforcement of your existing house rules, crate routines, and training cues. Safety, Communication, & Peace of Mind Whether your dog is easygoing and social, shy and fearful, or requires strict safety protocols, my priority is keeping them calm, secure, and enriched while you’re away. You can count on: Strict attention to doors, gates, and secure leash-handling (double-leash tethering and safety clips when needed). Full respect for your dog's triggers, medical schedule, and daily training plans. Clear, prompt communication with frequent photo and video updates. I require a Meet & Greet prior to any booking to ensure your pup feels comfortable with me and that we’re completely aligned on their care plan. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! Weekly Availability Thursday through Saturday: Fully open and available for pet care, walks, drop-ins, and dedicated one-on-one attention. Sunday through Wednesday: I work 8:00 AM–7:00 PM at a professional dog daycare, boarding, and training facility. On these days, I am currently unavailable, unfortunately. What Your Dog's Day Looks Like Working full-time at a high-volume facility means structured, safe routines are second nature to me: Attentive Care & Enrichment: Daily feedings on your exact schedule, fresh water at all times, potty breaks, and interactive play or quiet snuggles—tailored entirely to what your dog prefers. Behavior-Aware Management: I handle upwards of 20 dogs at a time at my day job, including reactive and sensitive dogs. I maintain that same high standard of vigilance for your pup—reading body language, respecting personal space, and avoiding stressful triggers. Pill & Med Routines: Any oral medications, supplements, or direct pill administration are handled precisely on time. Regular Updates: You’ll get clear, detailed updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing. Working daily in a high-volume boarding and training facility means proactive safety is second nature to me. I don’t just watch dogs; I actively manage their environment to prevent stress, escape, or conflict before it happens: Door & Gate Vigilance: Strict threshold protocols to ensure no darting at exterior doors, gates, or entryways. Secure Handling: Double-checking collars, harnesses, and leashes prior to stepping outside. For reactive or flight-risk dogs, I utilize double-tethering leashes or safety clips. Trigger Management: On walks, I actively scan the surroundings to create distance from other dogs, bikes, or triggers to keep outings low-stress and controlled. Health, Medical, & Facility Knowledge Precise Med Administration: Fully comfortable and experienced with daily oral medications, supplements, and direct pilling for dogs that refuse treats. Body Language Expertise: I constantly read subtle shifts in canine body language—early signs of stress, fatigue, overarousal, or pain—and adjust accordingly. Sanitation & Freshness: High standards for cleanliness, including daily sanitized bowls, fresh water, and clean resting areas. Building Trust with You & Your Dog Tailored to Their Comfort: Whether your dog craves affection or needs distance, I let them set the pace. I never force physical contact on dogs who prefer their own space. Transparent Communication: You will receive regular photo and video updates, along with honest notes about their potty habits, meals, behavior, and overall mood. Mandatory Meet & Greet: Prior to confirming any booking, we will do a thorough meet-and-greet to walk through your dog’s specific quirks, triggers, and safety needs so everyone feels 100% confident.

Alexus was amazing taking care of my elderly, special needs kitty. Not only was Alexus endlessly patient and kind while giving meds, but she handled any/all issues that came up with understanding and kept me informed the entire time. Her super detailed reports allowed me to feel totally at ease during my travels away from my furry baby. I would highly recommend Alexus and can’t wait to have her back!

Aleksy did a great job looking after my cats. She took them both for walks and kept their litter boxes nice and clean. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the dishes used to feed my girls were washed when I got back. I would absolutely recommend her to look after your fur babies. ^^

Tammy was great with our two cats while we were out of town. We have a Siamese that is skiddish around people he doesn't know and he even warmed up to Tawny. Tawny showed great patience when we made a mistake on our booking dates. Will use Tawny again if available. We didn't have to worry at all while we were out of town.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
