“Maverick had an awesome time with Mandi and her cute family! He spent the entire weekend playing fetch, playing with their sweet dog, Hank, and getting lots of loves. Mandi sent me pictures and updates and I knew he was happy, healthy, and safe. Definitely recommend, and we will absolutely take Mav to stay with them again!”

“Amazing sitter! First…. I booked her last minute but she accepted. 2nd she communicates very frequently and sends pictures. 3rd she goes above and beyond for mango (my dog)!!! She watched mango on thanksgiving and gave him festive food too! She checked in with me first though before giving him anything. 100% would recommend! Will be booking her again when visiting Utah again.”

“Alaetria was phenomenal with my boy! There was 100% communication with her and she updated me throughout the day. It was my first time booking a babysitter for my dobie , and with his breed I was 100% scared that he would be to much for her to handle ! Even with his allergies he was having she made sure he was comfortable and felt at home . When he came I swore he probably felt like “take me back “ I loved this experience with her and I for sure will rebook with her ! Thank you again it meant a lot to have someone watch over him as if he was there own! He barely eats when I’ve let family watch him and everyday she was able to get him to eat 2 times a day. Even I struggle with that sometimes ! She is 100% recommended!”

“Samantha was so great with our dog! She was responsive and kept in touch throughout the stay. Our dog got along perfectly with hers, and everyone seemed to have a great time. We'd happily book with her again!”

“Andrea was communicative throughout our dogs’ stay and kept us updated. There was an incident where one of our dogs damaged the blinds while trying to get through an open window, which was concerning and unusual behavior for her. Andrea let us know what happened and said her husband was able to fix the blinds. Our dogs were safe when we picked them up, and we appreciated the communication during their stay.”

“Laura was a great sitter! Our dogs had a blast and she sent pics and videos regularly to insure us that they were. Normally our pups come home kinda crazy and in a weird mood, but this time it’s like we never left. Would highly recommend!!!”

“My family and I have the opportunity to take a trip to Hawaii. We have never been on a vacation due to the fact we are not comfortable leaving our puppies at home. I found Audrina as she was walking with one of my neighbors Dogs she stopped and spoke with me about Being a dog sitter. So when it came time to find a suitable sitter for three puppies, I knew at least I’d be getting walked and taken care of. I’m going on a walk that’s about all I know now after leaving my dogs with Adriana and her husband Kevin a entire week we can’t wait to start planning our next vacation, we received daily updates on the puppies, assuring use they were in good hands. I honestly think they were treated better than being at home.”

“James is the best rover we have ever had the pleasure of leaving our babies with. Whenever we travel and use rovers we have to ask for pictures and we worry about wether or not they’re getting enough daily activity and fulfillment. With James we received a constant stream of photos of our babies having, probably more, fun than we even offer them on a daily basis. With so many adventures we were more worried about them wanting to come home than we were about them having a good time. We 1000% recommend James. We just hope he will have availability when we travel next.”

“Megan and her family were wonderful with our mature dog, Daisy. They followed instructions perfectly to make her comfortable and super happy. We loved all the pics and videos during the week. It was wonderful for us as a first time client to feel so happy and secure that our pup was loved.”

“Lisa did an amazing job with my (sometimes tempermental and antisocial) Chihuahua. My dog felt right at home with her in just a short while (new dogsitter record actually). A+. Highly Recommended.”

“I had some serious reservations about leaving my dog while my family went on an extended vacation. What can I say but Gracie made me feel very comfortable. I believe she took fantastic care of my girl, even though my dog was having some seperation anxiety. I can't recommend her more. Gracie is fantastic. If you need someone to take care of your animal, just give Gracie a try and you will be glad you did. Thanks Gracie for everything,”

“Michelle was so sweet and accommodating - I had a pretty last-minute request and it was easy breezy. She sent regular updates and my dog seemed to have a great time!”

“Stop your searching and book Silvana. She is absolutely fantastic and updates you during the entirety of your furry friends stay! Thank you for such a great experience.”

“Tanya was amazing! Her and her husband clearly loved our dog Maverick as much as we do. They put great care into him when we were away and he was clearly enjoying himself and having a good time throughout the stay. Tanya also made sure to send videos or pictures every day and kept us up to date on how he was doing. She even gave him a little Christmas bag of goodies when he left!”

“We are so happy with Mark and his wife Cathy. The two of them are simply worth their weight in gold. We had to fly to Germany and our Sisko couldn't come with us. It's just wonderful when you have to leave your dog behind with a clear conscience. The two of them update every day about what Sisko has experienced and also get lots of photos. We can highly recommend Mark and Cathy. Thank you for everything.”

Amber is a wonderful person! See made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with her for a 5 days we were gone.. always kept us updated on how they were doing and sent plenty of pictures for when we were missing our furry babies ! I honestly couldn’t recommend her more to take care of your furry babies she is wonderful and we loved her!

Stephanie is truly amazing caring for our sweet 17 week old golden! We were gone on vacation for an extended time, and our pup stayed at her home. She loved on our sweet girl everyday, played with her, sent daily updates and she truly got so spoiled. I feel so thankful for her! We will always be rebooking with her.

Gracie was fantastic with our two pups!! She was very receptive and flexible to making accommodations to set the pups up for success. She picked them up and dropped them off which was super convenient on either side of the trip. The pups had a great time and were in great hands for the week. We will absolutely look to book with her again in the future! Thanks Gracie for all your help!

Danika and Jordon were very accommodating with our GSP. We could tell by the end of the visit that he was well taken care of and loved. They gave us updates daily which was helpful to see how our pup was doing. We will definitely be using them for future Rover services.

Toni did a great job with our dog Oreo. She kept us up to date even when we were out of the country. She sent pictures as often as she could, and showed us that Oreo was well care for in our absences. She was great to work with, and let us do a quick meet and greet before so that we could determine if it was going to be a good fit. Thank you so much for taking care of our dog Oreo

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Edgemont Park home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Edgemont Park.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Edgemont Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
