Information Ciana Rae B. would like to know about your pet
When you reach out to me for a service, I will schedule a meet-and-greet with you to meet your pet and go over details. I will take notes, but it is also quite helpful if you can write down the instructions as well. Please let me know whether you will be available for questions while you are away. Typically I need to know the following information: - when and how much your pet(s) eat - where to walk your pet(s) or if you need location suggestions - what commands your pet(s) know - your pet(s) usual routine - your pet(s) medical needs - your pet(s) general temperament
A typical day
House-sitting: When house-sitting, I will sleep at your house. I will feed, water, provide enrichment, and medicate as needed, with plenty of play and snuggles in between! If requested, I am willing to bring in mail and water plants. When your pet is asleep or otherwise does not need my attention, I will read or watch movies. I may also work from your home during the week. Drop-ins: Drop-ins typically last 30 mins. During a drop-in, I will feed, water, administer medication, play, walk, and snuggle as requested and as time allows. For cats, I will scoop litter boxes. For dogs, I will clean up after them on walks. Please let me know if you expect me to clean up after your dog in your own yard. I am typically willing to take on extra duties that are specific to your situation, within reason. I promise to treat your pet with as much love and respect as I treat my own! When possible, please let me know what activities your pet most enjoys. I love playing hide and seek, giving food puzzles, tugging on toys, and throwing a ball for you pet! My favorite type of play is that which tires out their mind as well as their body. If needed, I can take your pet for a walk where we won't run into too many other animals, but also know plenty of places to meet new animal friends!

My pet-sitting philosophy revolves around helping your pets feel safe, comfortable, and have an enjoyable time while you are away from home. I work hard to understand pets’ body language in order to appropriately respect their boundaries. I have experience with and therefore do not shy away from pets who need extra care or space. I love making genuine connections with pets who are shy or afraid. Pet consent is very important to me. I am comfortable taking care of young, adult, or elderly dogs and cats. I grew up with 5 cats in my house and was the first in my family to get a dog! I have always had a passion for animals, and therefore have been the trusted pet-sitter for family and friends.
