“Kara is amazing, first time I left my kitties with someone who was not family and she was great. Communicated well and sent many pictures. My cats automated feeders got knocked over and missed a meal but Kara got them fixed, reinforced and made sure my kitties were fed. I can't recommend her enough. 10/10 Will be booking again.”

“Spencer did a terrific job making sure my cat was fed and taken care of while I was away. He went above and beyond by giving her some extra food when my flight got delayed a day, so she would survive a day alone. Super Responsive and sent pics every day. Highly recommended!”

About: I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare where your pup is treated like family, not just “watched.” I am generally home all day and host one dog or one family at a time, so your pet receives personalized attention, a peaceful environment, and plenty of love, play, and one-on-one care throughout their stay. No crowded boarding situations. No overwhelming chaos. Just a safe, cozy home where dogs can settle in, relax, and feel comfortable. I have almost 30 years of hands-on experience, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and unique needs. My experience includes: • Owning and training dogs since I was 18 (almost 30 years) • 15 years fostering and helping to rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs • Animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services • Volunteer experience as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments • Pet First Aid & CPR certification • Experience administering oral and injectable medications • Currently enrolled in the GoodPup Dog Training Course to continue expanding my knowledge and skills My goal is simple: for you to feel completely at ease while your dog feels safe, loved, and right at home. I am generally home all day. I adjust my day around your pup(s). Energetic and needs a lot of exercise? We'll go for walks, hikes, and play to their hearts content. More of a couch potato? Laid back couch snuggles are one of my favorite pass times! Fur babies are rarely left alone. If I do need to step out, it is typically only for a short period of time, usually no more than a an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. Dogs staying with me enjoy a calm, home-based environment with plenty of love, attention, and one-on-one care. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.

“We had such a great experience with Christina! Throughout the stay, we received regular updates, photos, and little notes that showed just how well our dog was being looked after. It was clear our dog was happy, relaxed, and getting lots of attention, and love. We especially appreciated the reliability and professionalism, everything was handled exactly as discussed, and even a few extra thoughtful touches went a long way. Coming home to a happy, well-cared-for dog made all the difference. We would absolutely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I've been pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors since I was 12 years old, giving me over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic medications when needed, and making sure pets feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I always take the time to learn what makes them comfortable. I treat every pet like they're my own and pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and easy to communicate with. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety, routine, and making them feel comfortable. In my clients' homes, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific needs or preferences. For boarding, I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my dog and two cats. Because I have resident pets, I would want to ensure that any boarding dog is comfortable around other animals and that everyone is introduced safely. My apartment community also has a dog park and plenty of areas for walks and exercise. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine and personality to help them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away.

“Dr Ally was amazing! Sent tons of pics and videos of our puppies! Even let me know when they'd chewed a cabinet so I ordered a repair kit and she attached it while we were out of town. Our babies received lots of TLC and were tuckered out and happy when we came home! I highly recommend and we're so grateful we could enjoy our vacation knowing they were in great hands!”

“Dianna was great with our babies, we had her do dropins for a few days. She was very professional and upfront about everything and answered all our question as this was the first time we used the app or have every trusted someone with our pets. She definitely deserves her great rating and we will absolutely be booking with her again next time!! 🐾”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oquirrh
Kara was amazing. I’ll rebook her every time. She is kind and trustworthy. She listened and followed special instructions but most importantly she took the best care of my precious cat. She was open with communication and cuddled and loved my sweet kitty. I really appreciated the special attention she gave my cat and his needs.

Stephanie was very great. We were hesitant at first because we have only had family watch our pets before. There isn’t anyone else I would ask. Our cats are very skittish but they warmed up to her very quickly. Greatly recommend and we will definitely book with her again!

Kimberly was the best cat sitter we’ve ever had. We were gone for a few weeks and she did an excellent job taking care of our two cats. We didn’t have to worry at all. She even helped us water our plants. We’d definitely love to book with her again next time we’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
