“We left our 3 months old puppy for 4 days with Toni and Mike to go to a trip, they are super nice human beings. I got the photo every morning promptly, Toni was super patient with all the questions I had as I was leaving my puppy for the first time. Highly recommended.”

“Taz and Teddy had a blast at Dominique’s house. She was super amazing and the communication was awesome. She was very accommodating and worked around our schedule. Her set up is so perfect. We will definitely be back!!”

“Ally was a great sitter for Ziggy and he enjoyed his stay and play time with her pups!! She was great with communication throughout the stay (sent photos and updates as well), and was able to accommodate a somewhat last minute booking. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone considering her services!”

“Diana was literally just the best!! We did a meet and greet beforehand and she walked me through all my questions and concerns. She helped me feel so confident about dropping off my pup with her for a week! And my dog absolutely loved her place. It’s the best that Diana works from home and her pup is so loving, aware of other dogs preferences, and is just so cute. Gigi somehow convinced my senior old man to be her best friend & they played everyday. Diana sent awesome photos, was always quick to reply, and just went above and beyond. I feel lucky to have found her!”

“Megan did a great job of taking care of Chloe and giving her a vacation of sorts. We were updated day and night with pictures and videos, which we really enjoyed. It was our first time leaving Chloe with a non family member and it was a good experience. Thank you!”

“Brent & Liza are so awesome. They are very nice and cared a lot for our dog. They sent us a few pictures everyday. Their dog buck was very friendly and a good friend to our dog. Our dog was so happy there and came home very tired from playing.”

“I recently moved to a new area and had to find a new sitter for my boy Jax. Im so happy that i found Nikki. She was super responsive of my questions and concerns that i had from previous sitter issues. Nikki made sure Jax was taken care of and took some great photos of him. Id love to have to have her care for Jax again. Thank you so much Nikki.”

“Moose loved his time with Tumaye! Tumaye sent me either a photo or video every day he was there and Moose's smart collar let me know they got in some walks as well!!”
“They were great; very easy to work with and provided daily updates on my pup. Oz loved his time with them and will be back in the future! Your pups are in good hands here.”

“Tea was absolutely a pleasure to have to watch Marshall! She has a very nice set up at her house which includes a little play pool and fenced in yard. Tea sent plenty of updates and i felt at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. I would highly recommend her.”
“Jessica went above and beyond with my teddy! She was very communicative, sending photos throughout the day and his mood and was always there to play with him. I will trust Jessica with my dog for whenever I need to have a place for him in the future!”

“Chauntel was great responding to any questions or concerns I had. Luna had so much fun playing with her sweet dogs and she had a great space for them to play. I felt at ease while I was away and she shared pictures of Luna being loved on by her sweet kiddos. I definitely recommend her and I will be using her again ☺️”

“Elena and Donald exceeded all of my expectations about how well my dogs would be cared for. The accommodations in their home for a large dog and attention they provided was exceptional!!!”

“M.K. was a great host for our cattle dog, Koda. We received some great pictures and videos, and M.K. was responsive and communicative the whole time we were gone. Koda came home exhausted from playing with the other pups. Drop off and pickup went smooth and M.K. was very accommodating. Highly recommend!!”

“Nicki did a great job of watching our girls and keeping us informed by sending pictures and updates. We will book with her again and let others know to do the same. Our stress level was definitely lower knowing they were being treated so well.”

“Karie was great with our dog! She texted updates and treated him like he was her own dog. Really appreciate the attention and care she gave to our pupper while we were out of town.”

“Anibal cared for my dogs as well as I would if not even a little better. I had to leave while my giant schnauzer was still healing up from a sore on his leg and Anibal changed bandages and applied antibiotic ointment everyday i was gone. Thank you for putting me at ease while I was away from my dogs!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Valley City
We had a great experience! Kayla was reliable, communicative, and took wonderful care of my dog, Rita while we were away. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind. It was obvious Rita was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend!

Shanalee and Zachery did an amazing job with Joni and his special needs. I loved how they let him spend time in a space where he felt comfortable, had easy access to the backyard, and had friends around. I appreciated the photos and communicative check-ins while I was out of state. Would book again!

Karie was amazing and such a genuinely kind person. You can tell right away that she really loves dogs. I really appreciated that she wanted to do a meet-and-greet at a park beforehand. We got to walk and talk for about 30 minutes, which helped me feel a lot more comfortable. She asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Aspen—things I honestly wouldn’t have even thought to mention—so it was clear she really wanted to be prepared and understand Aspen’s personality and needs. I also thought it was great that she brought one of her kids with her. It gave her a chance to see how Aspen does around children, which was reassuring. Since this was our first time leaving our 3-year-old dog with someone other than family, the daily updates meant a lot. The messages and pictures really helped us relax and see that Aspen was doing well and settling in. Drop-off and pick-up were super easy, and she was flexible with timing, which we really appreciated. Aspen came home happy, and you could tell she was well cared for. We will definitely book with Karie again and would absolutely recommend her.

Megan, her family and pups were so sweet to my little fur baby that has NEVER, in the 8 years we had him, spent the night away from our family. We will have to leave him somewhere for 2.5 weeks. We did a test run with a Megan, and the search is already over. She sent us pictures and a video and he looked so happy. He was happy to se us the next day, but we could tell he was hesitating, almost like telling us to stay there or to bring them all home with us, LOL. I can tell they spoiled him as much as we do.

My pup had a great stay with Jacie and I would recommend to anyone. I got photos every day of my dog having fun in the backyard, enjoying the view through the front windows or taking naps on the couch. Jacie was also super nice and accommodating and I am happy to had found her

Kristen and her daughter took very good care of my Nova and gave her all the love that I would and even let her sleep in the bed. I loved getting all of the pictures of Nova getting loved on and having fun with the. Will definitely trust Kristen and her family with my dog in the future.

Elizabeth is an absolute gem of a dog sitter. Our pup is so excited to go over each time, and we can tell how much our dog loves Elizabeth. She sends heartwarming and informative updates at regular intervals and is so flexible and considerate to coordinate with. Cannot recommend Elizabeth enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
