“She’s always been amazing with my rambunctious pup and also has great advice/recommendations! She knows what she’s doing and how to keep your pup safe and happy while you’re away”

“Jocelyn and her family were so great with our KoKo girl. She kept us up to date with KoKo and her dogs welcomed our little pup in and made her feel right at home. Thanks for making her apart of your family.”

“We had a last-minute emergency trip out of town and Mandi stepped in without hesitation. She was quick to confirm our booking, incredibly communicative, and made the whole process seamless during a stressful time. Throughout Ranger’s stay, she sent regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear he was well cared for and comfortable. One of the highlights for Ranger was getting to play with her dog, Hank—such a treat for him since he’s usually an only pup! We would absolutely book with Mandi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and kind sitter.”

“Toni and her husband were so sweet and even let me in their house to see their space. Bailey (my dog) came back happy and mellow and her dogs are also sweet so my dog was super happy to have some furry friends”

“Shanalee & Zachery were great! They accepted a last minute request and took great care of my dog. They made Albus feel at home right away, were ultra responsive and sent picture updates. Would definitely recommend and rebook.”

“Amber was amazing! This was our first time using Rover, she was super responsive and helpful with all our first timer questions. She was flexible with drop off and pick up times. We got pictures and updates throughout our trip, and it was obvious that our dog was having the time of her life. Thank you Amber! Hope to book with you again soon.”

“Wonderful experience from start to finish. Communication was smooth and easy, and it really sounds like my dog got lots of attention and love—especially from grandma, which I appreciate so much. Highly recommend!”

“Angela’s the best! Pictures and video updates daily! She gave him a bath, he had tons of fun with his friends, she sent him home with treats, washed all his things, even sewed up his dog bed that was already torn when I dropped him off. So happy with picking Angela!:)”
“Justine and her family were great with our dogs Roxanne and Franklin!! She’s super responsive, friendly, and provided lots of cute updates of our pups while we were gone.”

“M.K. took wonderful care of our 2 dogs! They both came home happy (and tired). Professional and very responsive to our messages. We received many photos of our boys to let us know how they were doing. Highly recommend M.K.!!”

“Megan is great! My boys were very loved and well cared for us over the Christmas holiday. I got daily photos and videos of the boys and she is always responsive. Definitely will be a repeat customer!”

“Mark and Cathy were fantastic! They were extremely communicative before and during our booking providing fun updates and photos throughout Cooper’s stay. It is obvious that they love dogs and Cooper was well loved during his time with them. We would certainly book with them again!”

“Chauntel looked after our dog for about six weeks, and we couldn't have been happier with the service. We greatly appreciated receiving photos and videos that confirmed our dog was completely comfortable and thriving in her care. She is very trustworthy and we highly recommend her.”

“Matti was great! Our puppy started out shy as he hadn't had much contact with other dogs. We were worried that he wouldn't be comfortable with the 3 Chihuahua that Matti has. But, Matti has made it possible and our puppy fit in just fine and seemed to enjoy other dogs' company in the end. Thank you, Matti for taking good care of our puppy while we were out of town! We will surely look for Matti again on our next vacation.”

“Excellent dog sitter! My dog stayed at her house and received wonderful care. Great communication, updates, and a welcoming environment. I would happily use her services again.”

“Brittany has been one of my go-to dog sitters for about a year now. She is incredibly reliable, caring, and thoughtful in the way she looks after my 5 y/o Goldendoodle, Koko. I really appreciate it when she sends photo updates while I’m away, which gives me peace of mind knowing Koko is happy and well cared for. She is also very responsive. I never have to worry about communication or getting updates. It’s clear that she truly cares about the dogs she watches. The level of care and attention she provides is exceptional, and her rates are very reasonable. Even though I have to drive a bit farther to get to her, it’s absolutely worth it. Flexibility is very important to me because I travel frequently for work and often have last minute trips or itinerary changes. Brittany has been so kind and accommodating in that aspect. I always feel at ease knowing that Koko is safe and loved while staying with her.”

“Jessica took a great care of my dog Luna when we were on vacation. A multiple times a day she informed us how Luna is doing, her eating, sleeping and etc. She sent a lot of photos, where we could see how Luna enjoyed her stay; walking, playing, cuddling with Jessica and her family. The most importantly Luna did not show any stress or change in habits after she returned home. We definitely will recommend Jessica.”

“Dominique was great, and I would recommend! She sent me regular updates, and Milo was so tired when I picked him up from all the play time. She even made me a small gift with Milo's paw print.”

“We had a great experience with Gracie. She was super communicative during our trip including pictures which help give us peace of mind. She was also flexible when we had to adjust our return date.”

“James was once again amazing with our babies and they had an absolute blast with him! We can’t say enough good things about him! He’s the best rover we’ve had by far!”

Cat caregivers near you - West Valley City

About: I’ve cared for cats for over 6 years, including my own six with completely different personalities, affection levels, and boundaries. I regularly cat-sit for friends and family, and I understand that some cats are full of energy and love to play, while others need a gentler, quieter approach. I’m experienced with special diets, unique feeding routines, and caring for injured or recovering cats. I’ve done TNR (trap-neuter-return) for strays, provided post-surgery care, cleaned wounds, and given medications via syringe. I obsessively keep litter boxes and feeding areas clean because I know it makes cats feel comfy and happy at home!
“Vanessa was hands down the most thorough cat sitter we have ever had! She took notes during our meet and greet and documented everything during her drop in visits including taking a photo showing us that she was giving our kitty the correct meds. We felt so reassured knowing our two kitties with asthma were in good hands. We will definitely book again. Thanks so much Vanessa!”

“Kara took fantastic care of my cat while I was away! She made sure to send pictures every day of my cat, which made me feel so much better being away from home knowing my cat was getting human interaction and attention while I was gone. Would recommend her to anyone who wants a sitter who truly makes the effort to care for their pets!”

“Emily was an amazing sitter for Salem! She went above and beyond to be responsive, thoughtful, and reassuring throughout the stay. We were a little unsure how Salem would do around other cats, but Emily was so accommodating and had a plan to keep them separated if needed, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. The cats ended up coming to an agreement and were buddies (from a distance). The daily updates were great! Especially hearing about Salem finding her favorite window spot to watch the chickens in the yard. It was clear she was in great hands. Emily made the whole experience stress-free, and we would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with and caring for dogs and cats. I often pet sit for friends and family. I love going on walks and playing with pets. I am comfortable supporting with basic training. I am a teacher currently on summer holiday. I am home most of the time and am looking to stay busy. I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to take long and short walks and play with furry friends. I live in a one bedroom apartment. I have a small balcony they are welcome to hang out on and I will take them on plenty of walks and to go play outside. I like being outside so although I can’t offer a yard I can offer lots of outside time. Pets are allowed on furniture here but I do also have a floor mat.

“Elisha did a great job with our three dogs - on time, communicative, and spent the agreed upon amount of time. Would definitely work with Elisha again or recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter :)”

About: I have been taking care of cats since I was little. From neighbors to relatives, I have always had a cat in my life and have one myself! I know how unique each cats personality and quirks can be!

About: I have been a cat owner for almost 3 years now. I am willing to provide anything for your cat to make sure they are happy and comfortable. I love getting to know cats and becoming best friends.

“Elizabeth was wonderful. She came once a day and fed our cat, scooped her litter, played with her and gave her some attention while we were on a two week vacation. She also went above and beyond when we needed her to turn off an alarm as well as she just let us know the overall status of our home. I would definitely use her again. Highly recommend.”

“Michelle was great with our cats! They really enjoyed their time with her and put us at peace if mind they would be taken care of while we were gone. Will certainly be using again in the future!!”

“Tawny is such an above and beyond sitter. I always get great updates and photos of Ziggy, zig gets to walk with Tawny’s dog which is great for his socialization. Tawny also saw packages for me and brought them in AND set up Ziggy’s grass patch on the balcony, which honestly is a gross and unenjoyable job which Tawny did without prompting. I am really impressed, I trust Tawny completely with Zig.”

“Responded very quickly and was able to accept our very short notice time!! Great communication, we lost track of time and she was very understanding!! Thanks so much!!!”

“We are travelling from Texas to Utah and ski resorts don't allow pets on the ski area so we need some place safe for our fur baby. Gracie did an amazing job and treated our pet as her own. She constantly updates us and that reduces our anxiety. Highly recommended 👌 very professional. She can accommodate unneutered 🐕 pet”

“My boys really enjoyed their stay! They normally don’t settle so easy so that tells me that they were very comfortable with you! Thank you so much for taking great care of my boys!”

About: *I currently have a 4 year old, neutered male, Border Collie mix* (If booking for 4 days or more, I prefer to bring him with me. If it's less than 4 days I can work with leaving him at home.) I've had dogs in my life since I was about 8 years old. My mom bred our dogs and I would help her. I helped to birth the puppies, feed and wash them, weigh them and track their progress, train and care for them. Since I was 18 I've adopted six dogs. One of them was deaf and blind when I adopted her. I've never been the first home for any of my doggos but I've been the best/most loving final home for all of them. I work part time and have plenty of time to spend with animals. I usually take my dog out for a stretch/potty every couple of hours and we walk at least once a day. I'm constantly looking for new parks and fun places to play. I have a three year old Border Collie mix that gets along well with other dogs and cats. The yard is fenced but there's no doggy door. I have some crates of various sizes if needed. The fur babies are allowed on the bed and all of the furniture at my house. I frequently pet/house sit for a Pitbull mix and she's one of my dogs besties. She has medication and a special diet. I've also frequently had my dad's dogs visit. So my dog is used to both having separate food and sharing in a communal pack. Whenever we pet/house sit we follow their house rules (i.e. - no dogs on the furniture or in the kitchen, etc). I'm trusted with keys to multiple homes and never stop by unless asked to.
“Michelle and her husband were absolutely wonderful with Jack! Michelle was super responsive, listened attentively to an overly anxious dog Momma, and sent tons of pictures. Jack is Diabetic and a little quirky so I’m always anxious to leave him with a new person but we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Their home was very clean and she even took the extra time to pick up anything that Jack could have gotten ahold of and put it out of his reach. We would absolutely recommend Michelle and use her again if we are back in the area.”

About: I own a 7 y/o Shih Tzu/Yorkie, a 3 y/o Shih Tzu, and a 12y/o mini poodle! My family has owned dogs from 8 lbs to 130 lbs! We love all furry friends and accept them as they are, whether they drool, jump, or talk! My dream breed to own is a giant breed (Irish Wolfhound!) but regardless of breed, they’re special to me! I love taking dogs to places they can run around and really enjoy time outside! I have worked as a Medical Assistant, in dog boarding, and as a professional dog groomer! I believe in “Positive Reinforcement” and Fear Free training training methods and like to keep up to date on current training methods for personal use! I am also more than happy to help with bath time or reinforcing anything you’re working on with them! I love reading about Canine Enrichment activities and I love watching them figure it out. I am passionate about dogs and would love to meet yours! Dog time is my self care time so I love filling my time with dog interaction, walks, and puppy snuggles! I have a grooming salon in my home, and generally am around :) I was exhausted as a little dog owner with every boarding environment being targeted for big dog enjoyment! My environment is meant for the little dogs, and they know it! I keep beds with blankets in every nook and cranny for every type of snuggler. They have access to furniture, and have every variety of space to settle they need! There are a couple open kennels (always open) that my dog don’t care to go near for those who like their den.
“Nicki was fantastic! She was able to watch Leo last minute and sent updates throughout the day. When my bf went to pick him up he said Leo was calm and not to excited to see him, which means Leo enjoyed his day. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone and use her again!”

“My pup did doggy day care with Nikki, and she exceeded expectations! She sent a wonderful report with a butt load of cute, hilarious and epic photos of my pups stay. Her pup played well with mine so he came home soo tired, which was what I wanted. She even worked with my pup to give him a proper introduction to cats and some other training exercises. It’s funny being on the other side of Rover because I used to board dogs and I put my all into each dog. I know that there are different kinds of “dog sitters”. Nikki is legit and knows how to handle dogs. Highly Recommend.”

“Tea was great!! She took my pup very last minute and was super easy to work with! Bell seemed to have a blast and she even took the pups to the park! Will definitely be bringing my girl back!!”

“Xochitl is such a great sitter. My puppy loves her and her doggies. She sends pics & videos throughout the day. She even offered to give mine bath. Great experience. Always willing to give me advice about yorkies (she has one herself) ☺️”

“I’m a healthcare traveler working in town for only 9 weeks. I needed someone reliable to walk my dog while I worked long shifts. About: High Drive & High Energy experience! I’ve been very interested in all kinds of animals for as long as I can remember! I was always the dog/cat savvy one in a family. I currently own a 5 year old German Shepherd (Geist), a 1 year old German Shepherd (Levi) as well as 2 cats (Haku & Tucker)! 5 years ago I got my very first dog as an adult on my own, Geist. Geist made me find my love for training and we have learned so much in our time together. We have trained and competed in numerous dog sports; scent work, dock diving, fastCAT. We have been working hard training for a sport called PSA (Protection Sports Association) which focuses on high levels of competitive obedience and bite work. This sport has opened a whole new world for me and has taught me so much about dog behavior, handling and training. This has made me very passionate about getting dogs out there and giving them proper outlets for their energy as well as a huge passion for training and general care. I also have experience with cats, reptiles & small animals, please message me for more info or help with care for those guys! Our pets are family and we are really lucky to have them in our lives. They deserve our respect and proper care in every aspect, so I’m here to help with that! I am currently working part-time in the early morning hours so I have plenty of time throughout the day to help care for and have fun with your pups or kitties! I am available most days from 11 AM-5 PM! For in home visits!: I would love to follow what you think best suits the care they need! Tell me about your fur babies and how they live with you! For boarding clients!: I only take one client at a time for in home boarding. I can accommodate a maximum of 2 dogs per client/household. My home is strictly crate and rotate (with the exception of structured time on a place bed) unless you are boarding with me for more than 3-5 days. Your pups will not meet either of my dogs except for in passing on leash or in front of their kennels. I have a dog room for my dogs but I typically keep boarding dogs in a separate room for their rest time to ease the stress of being in a new environment on your pups!
“Alex is attentive, intuitive and professional. I would recommend Alex to anyone who cares about attention to detail, she does so well with my puppy and he loves her!”

“Hayden was wonderful! She helped me out last minute and was absolutely great to work with! She sent photos, updates and made sure the door was locked on the way out! We will definitely be using her again!”

At home, I have a fur and feather fam of dogs, cats and chickens. (Chickens are in a part of the property the pups can’t get to). I understand how scary it is to leave your loved ones while you’re away, so I make sure to give them all the loves and pets they deserve while the parents go play! High communication is key to me!
