“Stephanie was great! Our pup is shy and warmed up to her quickly. She has a large yard for pups to roam and sent pictures to us. We’d certainly book with her again.”

“Arius and his family were awesome! Our dog, River, loved running around with the few other dogs they were watching as well as their own. They sent daily pics Of her content and happy. She was able to sleep in her own bed in their family room and rest on their couch like she does at home. They have a beautiful big backyard and home. They truly treated her like one of their own while we were gone. We now feel comfortable leaving on another trip sometime because we know she has a loving place to go.”

“James was awesome watching my 2 dogs. He took them on walks everyday, sent us lots of pics, and provided daily updates. We didn't have to worry at all and they loved having their own vacation with James.”

“Sarah was absolutely wonderful! We had gotten a new puppy just a week before leaving on a week long vacation so we were really nervous about leaving our new puppy so soon, in another new environment. But Sarah was phenomenal! She provided regular updates on our little girl, and worked with her on potty training, and crate training, all while helping her socialize with other doggos and kitties! We've used a couple of other sitters through Rover and none of them come close to how great Sarah was! Will absolutely use her in the future and recommend to everyone!”

“Waffles came home exhausted from all the play she got while there! They were also very flexible in extending her stay when an unexpected circumstance came up! This was a great experience and I would definitely book again!!”

“Adriana and her family are darling and we’re so sweet to our dog, Charlie? They texted us updated and pictures of him while we were on our trip. We could tell he was very comfortable and loved while we were gone. We would definitely use her again! ?”

“Karie was so great with my nervous pup. She was super communicative with me, and I never was worried about how she was doing on her first night away from home. My dog had a blast at her house, and loved getting so much love from her and her family. Thank you so much again!!”

“Sammie was amazing! I had a last minute work trip planned and she was very accommodating, she took Zion my husky right in! She gave me pics and updates everyday and I could tell my dog was in great hands. I’ll definitely be using her for future services!”

“Kristen was incredible. She was so patient with Manu and kept me very informed of how things were going. I instantly knew Manu was in the best of hands, and she was such a life saver being able to board Manu to allow us to go on our family camping trip. Thank you Kristen we appreciate you (and Manu!) so much!”

“Michelle took such great care of my black lab mix dog. She has a dog that my dog got along great with. She sent updates & photos throughout his stay. I would highly recommend Michelle’s dog care!”

“Our Clara loves her stays with Yami and the girls!! We love the updates and pictures we get! Knowing our girl is getting the love and attention she does from this cute family, helps us relax while we are away!! Thank you for always taking such great care of our Clara Belle! ☺️”

“One of the best experiences we have had with dog sitters! Mark and Cathy were so sweet and kind and they updated us often throughout the night on our our furkids were doing! Everything was just perfect and we will absolutely use them again!”

“Gracie was the best dog watcher I’ve ever used! She truly goes above and beyond to care for your pets and keeps you updated with regular messages and photos. She’s very responsive and easy to communicate with. My dogs loved staying with her and were so well taken care of. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Diana was literally just the best!! We did a meet and greet beforehand and she walked me through all my questions and concerns. She helped me feel so confident about dropping off my pup with her for a week! And my dog absolutely loved her place. It’s the best that Diana works from home and her pup is so loving, aware of other dogs preferences, and is just so cute. Gigi somehow convinced my senior old man to be her best friend & they played everyday. Diana sent awesome photos, was always quick to reply, and just went above and beyond. I feel lucky to have found her!”

“Awesome experience!! Felt so comfortable leaving our pup with her! Ended up coming back from my trip early and she changed her plans around so I could pick my dog up early. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Heather was great! She was very flexible and communicative and helped me adjust the schedule when my plans changed! Our pups had a great time and were very loved and she sent great updates!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kearns
We had such a great experience with this wonderful couple. They took amazing care of our two dogs, and it really showed, our pups came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well‑loved. They sent photos throughout the stay and were always quick to reply whenever I checked in, which gave us total peace of mind and let us see how much fun the dogs were having.

Anibal did a great job boarding our 80lb bloodhound. He has 2 dogs and they all got along fine. His setup is easy with fenced yards, doggie door, sent daily updates, and he was attentive and professional around any accommodations that she needed. We’ll be booking with Anibal again

Our pup is anxious and Cara made her feel right at home! She had such a blast she didn't even notice us when we came to pick her up. Highly recommend Cara for dog boarding she will take care of your pup like no other! Our dog came back relaxed, pampered, it was like she was the one on vacation.
Shanalee and Zachery did an amazing job with Joni and his special needs. I loved how they let him spend time in a space where he felt comfortable, had easy access to the backyard, and had friends around. I appreciated the photos and communicative check-ins while I was out of state. Would book again!

Karie was amazing and such a genuinely kind person. You can tell right away that she really loves dogs. I really appreciated that she wanted to do a meet-and-greet at a park beforehand. We got to walk and talk for about 30 minutes, which helped me feel a lot more comfortable. She asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Aspen—things I honestly wouldn’t have even thought to mention—so it was clear she really wanted to be prepared and understand Aspen’s personality and needs. I also thought it was great that she brought one of her kids with her. It gave her a chance to see how Aspen does around children, which was reassuring. Since this was our first time leaving our 3-year-old dog with someone other than family, the daily updates meant a lot. The messages and pictures really helped us relax and see that Aspen was doing well and settling in. Drop-off and pick-up were super easy, and she was flexible with timing, which we really appreciated. Aspen came home happy, and you could tell she was well cared for. We will definitely book with Karie again and would absolutely recommend her.

Megan, her family and pups were so sweet to my little fur baby that has NEVER, in the 8 years we had him, spent the night away from our family. We will have to leave him somewhere for 2.5 weeks. We did a test run with a Megan, and the search is already over. She sent us pictures and a video and he looked so happy. He was happy to se us the next day, but we could tell he was hesitating, almost like telling us to stay there or to bring them all home with us, LOL. I can tell they spoiled him as much as we do.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
