“This is my second time using Justine, she is fantastic to work with! Lexi loves her time over there and is always exhausted when I pick her up. Thank you for doing such a great job and easing my worries when I can’t take Lexi with me!”

“Andrea is sweet and very responsible. She went above and beyond to make sure that our drop-off an pick-ups went smoothly when I boarded my dog at her place. My dog was immediately comfortable in her home. Couldn't ask for a better experience.”

“I will definitely be using Jessica again, she was so good with my little one year-old pup! Pebbles even made some new dog and cat friends, she sent me a video of pebbles playing and having fun! I felt like pebbles was safe and protected in Jesseca‘s care!”

“Very happy with our experience with Aaron! We gave her short notice, but was able to do a meet and greet a couple days before booking. Cody seemed comfortable - and we did too. When we dropped Cody off with Aaron, Cody happily trotted right off with her, without looking back. Aaron kept in touch with pictures and texts, which I appreciated. She seemed truly to care about the dogs she sits.”

“Wendy was awesome! It was our first time using Rover for an extended stay and it could not have gone better. At our meet-and-greet she introduced our dog to her whole family and their dog, which I really appreciated. She was very organized, her yard area was clean- which showed me that she cared about the dogs staying there and that she was dependable. Our pup can be a bit high maintenance but she didn’t even bat an eye to all of our requests! She sent pictures of our beloved pup everyday- sometimes multiple times in one day. We loved getting the regular updates. He looked happy, content, and well cared for. It was hard for us to leave him, but we enjoyed our vacation so much more knowing that he was doing great with Wendy and her family. We will definitely be scheduling with her again!”

“Our dog came home happy. We received some pictures and updates throughout the stay. Karlie was really nice and let us change our drop off time to be a couple of hours earlier to make our schedule work a little bit better. Thanks so much.”
“What a darling family! They were so sweet and eased all my worries about leaving Layla. They kept me posted with pictures and videos while I was away and I got to see Layla having so much fun. I am so appreciative of the patience they had with her as she had never been around cats before. And their patience with me as I had to change plans last minute. Will definitely call them next time! Thank you Krista and Dustin”

“Nicki was amazing & very accommodating. Luka really enjoyed his stay and even got to play with other huskies. He was tired and ready for a nap when we got home.”
“Sammie and her family were great with taking care of my fur baby while I was gone! It is always nerve wracking leaving my fur baby however they put my mind at ease and replied to all of my messages quickly and sent me pics all throughout her stay! My pup is usually so overstimulated coming from daycare however she seemed so comfortable and waycless stressed after staying with Sammie and her family which makes me so happy! I know my pup was in great hands and well taken care of throughout the whole stay.”

“Samantha was great! She sent pictures of our dog everyday and took him out for walks and playtimes. She understood my dog’s needs and I know my dog requires lots of patience, which she showed. Will definitely book again!”

“Megan and her family were wonderful with our mature dog, Daisy. They followed instructions perfectly to make her comfortable and super happy. We loved all the pics and videos during the week. It was wonderful for us as a first time client to feel so happy and secure that our pup was loved.”

“Kristine was absolutely amazing with Jack! He loved her big backyard and playing with the smaller dogs. She was so great with him and we’re SO grateful!! We will definitely be using her again!!!”

“Sharon was an absolute delight. This was our first experience with Rover and a pet sitter in general and we will definitely be using both again (preferably Sharon). She loved our dogs like her own and kept us informed as to how they were doing to ease our concerns about leaving them with someone. Thank you, Sharon!”

“Tanya took amazing care of our dog Lulu! We were able to relax on our 8 day vacation, knowing that Lulu was getting such loving care. She kept us informed, sent sweet pics, and made sure Lulu got her medicine. She and her husband made sure Lulu got plenty of belly rubs too!”

“James was once again amazing with our babies and they had an absolute blast with him! We can’t say enough good things about him! He’s the best rover we’ve had by far!”

“Adriana and her beautiful family provided the very best care for Taffy. It gave me tremendous peace of mind getting updates and photos throughout my time out of the country. I highly recommend them for your pets care. Taffy even gave Adriana a hug before we said farewell so her 100% endorsement is high praise!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Magna
Elena and Donald were amazing. I was really worried leaving Reyna because she can be a nervous and slow to warm up to new dogs. They were patient and gave her all the time she needed. They provided me with photos and videos so I could see she was doing great. I would highly recommend and will happily use them again in the future to watch my girl.

Rowan had a good stay, and I appreciated the photo updates while I was away. Evelyn was also able to extend his stay by an extra day on short notice, which was a huge help and very much appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d be happy to book with her again.

Truly Bobbie is so flexible when travel plans don't go as planned, or anything else life throws at you. Cooper LOVES his stays, and he cannot wait to go back. He's absolutely exhausted (in the best way) once he comes home. I'm scared one day he will refuse to leave at pickup!! Hahahah so thankful for Bobbie and her daughter loving our pups as much as their own!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
