“Jessica made us feel completely at ease while we were away. This was one of the first times we’ve had to leave our dog, and even our kids felt comforted when we received updates from her. This was the best experience I could have imagined! We’ll definitely use her again!”

“This was my first time using the Rover service. I was very pleased with how everything went. Ivette was very accommodating. Admittedly, I was anxious. I have one easy dig and one not so easy. Ivette scheduled a meet and greet and she was fantastic. My dogs felt right at home and were very loved. I received regular updates and I could tell very easily that my dogs felt right at home. This was very comforting for me, as I was nervous to leave my lab for the first time. I will definitely use the app again, but I will most definitely have Yvette and her family watch my dogs again, and again.”

“This was our first experience leaving our dog anywhere other than with family. We could not have asked for a better experience! Sarah was so friendly and great with our dog! We are very great full for how accommodating she was and how she kept in contact with us while we were away! Thank you Sarah!!!!!”

“Taylor & Kambri were so amazing! We had our cat stay with them & they were super accommodating. They set up a separate area for him & gave great updates! Totally recommend!”

“Justine was so wonderful to work with! Our dog loves to play and he was in heaven playing with her pups. Our flight got delayed and she was just fine with keeping our dog until we got back! Highly recommend!”

“Wendy was amazing to my puppy! She sent photos daily and updates. It was so comforting to have such a great host! My pup was pooped when she came home because she had so much fun.”

“Karlie was so friendly and easy to work with! We had a meet up before our booking to make sure the dogs got along. Her home is very nice and spacious with lots of room for the dogs to play outside.”

“🐾 🐾 So happy with Elizabeth and her wonderful family! They took amazing care of our dog, Banksy, while we were on vacation. From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. Elizabeth kept us updated throughout our trip with sweet messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. Banksy looked so happy and relaxed—we could tell he was treated like one of their own. Their home is warm, welcoming, and clearly pet-friendly. We’re incredibly grateful for their kindness and care, and we’d definitely contact them again in the future. Highly recommended! 🐾🐾”

“Megan and her family were so welcoming to my Morkipoo Rocket! She listened and understood my concerns before dropping him off. Also listened to my blabbing. Haha. I only left him for 3 days but in those 3 days it felt like I knew exactly what Rocket was up to, thanks to Megan’s daily updates! Also thank you to Megan’s sweet kiddos and fur babies for keeping Rocket busy. I kid you not, every photo/video Megan sent me my sweet Rocket had a huge smile on his face. Which also made me so positive I picked the right dog sitter! Megan & her Family will definitely be my go to for whenever I need a dog sitter. Thank you so much Megan!”

“Laura was amazing! I inherited an older growly Scottish Terrier. I was amazed how well she adapted to Laura and her family. I felt great on vacation knowing Rose 🌹 was taken care of.”
“Dusting and Krista were so great to work with! Ellie (a Yorkie) is not particularly fond of other dogs, and they were wonderful acclimating her to bond with their pups. I received quite a few pictures of her enjoying her stay. I will definitely use them again!”

“Danika and Jordan were great! They were easy to work with and very accommodating when I needed to adjust my schedule. I also appreciated the pictures and updates during my dogs stay.”

“Jodi and her family were very cute and good with our golden retriever. She sent daily pics which was such a nice added benefit. Jodi has a very sweet nature dog herself which helps with socialization. I would highly recommend leaving your dog with her.”

“Kristine was so kind! You can tell she loves the dogs she meets instantly. She provided updates and photos throughout Jasper’s stay and it was so appreciated.”

“Kellie did an amazing job caring for my dog, Rue! I really appreciated receiving photos while I was away. It was wonderful to see Rue had such a fun time playing in the backyard and getting along so well with their dog, Noodle. I will definitely be trusting Kellie with dog sitting again in the future!”

“Brooke and her family were wonderful. We contacted her last minute and she was so kind and gracious. The communication and photos were so very appreciated. The dudes came home happy and tired. We would definitely board with Brooke and her family again.”

“Our German Shepherd loved his stay. He came back looking and smelling great! We could tell he was tired from all the fun he was having. Our dog will be staying with them again.”

I was nervous at having a stranger watch my fur baby. Especially since he has some particular needs. Mariana and her family were amazing! They loved my Bruno like he was their own and even did some modifications to their yard to make it more comfortable for him (and us). We got pictures and updates multiple times a day, which I loved! We will definitely be booking with her again!!

This was the first time I ever left my 7 year old dog with anyone other than family. Bobbie was referred to us by word of mouth, and I'm so thankful for it!! I was so anxious about leaving him, but Bobbie and her daughter were amazing. Sent updates, and I know my dog was well taken care of. He can't wait to go back 🥰

We have used Taylor and Kamri twice now:) We were so grateful they could watch both our dogs on short notice. They accommodated our random pick up and drop off times, one drop off being extremly early in the morning. They were really good at communicating through the app and were nice. I have used rover multiple times and differences I have found with this stay verses others is they didn't send us pictures of our dogs, they lost our dog bowls and we gave us random ones, and they never even opened the dog treats we sent with our dogs. This place doesn't focus on the individual dog so much as to they cater to watching many dogs. I loved that they were able to take on both our dogs though as they are opposites. We have a 10lb not neutered dog and a 100lb neutered dog and they were happy to take both which is hard to find on rover sometimes. They were good to check and view papers to make sure dogs are all fully vaccinated. I'm really glad they were able to watch our dogs for the 2 vacations my family went on. Thank You!

This was my first time hiring a sitter for Hazel, my German shepherd/husky. I was nervous about it but we couldn't take our dog on vacation with us this time. Aaron is the best, she took such great care of our dog. Hazel loved the home and family environment and we came back to happy dog. I am so thankful for Aaron!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
