“Excellent dog sitter! My dog stayed at her house and received wonderful care. Great communication, updates, and a welcoming environment. I would happily use her services again.”

“Jessica took wonderful care of our little Roxy. She was very communicative and even sent pics. Thanks for taking such great care of our little girl. Highly recommend and will use again.”

“Aaron housed my cattle dog Maggie for two nights, who tends to be a little on the anxious side and who gets medications twice a day. She and Maggie got along super well, so much so that she looked for Aaron for several hours after we picked her up! It felt great being able to trust our dog was in good hands. Will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

“What a darling family! They were so sweet and eased all my worries about leaving Layla. They kept me posted with pictures and videos while I was away and I got to see Layla having so much fun. I am so appreciative of the patience they had with her as she had never been around cats before. And their patience with me as I had to change plans last minute. Will definitely call them next time! Thank you Krista and Dustin”

“Karlie was amazing with our dog, Haas. From our first meet and greet interaction I knew he would be in good hands! Karlie was always prompt at responding to any questions and she truly made our experience stress free! Our boy came home tired and happy and we’ll definitely use Karlie again in the future!!”

“Second time for our dog to stay with Arius and his family. We definately recommend them. We've had a postive experience both times. We appreciated the daily photos of our dog. We are glad our dog has had the opportunity to hang out and play with other dog guests as well as get extra attention from this entire family. Thank you again!”

“Wendy was amazing to my puppy! She sent photos daily and updates. It was so comforting to have such a great host! My pup was pooped when she came home because she had so much fun.”

“Nicki did a great job of watching our girls and keeping us informed by sending pictures and updates. We will book with her again and let others know to do the same. Our stress level was definitely lower knowing they were being treated so well.”

“Megan and her family were wonderful with our mature dog, Daisy. They followed instructions perfectly to make her comfortable and super happy. We loved all the pics and videos during the week. It was wonderful for us as a first time client to feel so happy and secure that our pup was loved.”

“Elizabeth was great! She took good care of our older dog, gave him medicines, was very helpful and easy to work with. She kept us updated with messages and pictures while he was at her house. We will use her again.”

“Samantha was great! She sent pictures of our dog everyday and took him out for walks and playtimes. She understood my dog’s needs and I know my dog requires lots of patience, which she showed. Will definitely book again!”

“Always fantastic!! Takes great care of our dog. Never worry about it dog when she is with Michelle. We know she is cared for and loved like she is part of their family.”

“I honestly can not say enough positive things about how incredible Kristine is with the dogs she cares for. Our little Lacee is part of our family and we are always so hesitant to leave her, she has separation anxiety and is generally stressed for days after we return. We left Lacee with Kristine for 2 days and came back to a very happy puppy. Our dog was well cared for, taken on walks, snuggled and we received frequent pictures and updates on how she was doing. I felt so much better leaving her with Kristine then anyone else we have left Lacee with. I will definitely use her every time we come to salt lake. She truly loves the puppies she is caring for. Kristine is great!”

“Bella and Schuyler enjoyed another successful stay with Beth! They absolutely love the multiple daily walks and continuous love! We love getting the constant updates as well! Thanks Beth, Bella and Schuyler will definitely be back!”

“Sammie and her family always do a great job with my doggo. They are very helpful and make sure you are taken care of. We have used her 3 times now and always is the first to reach out to. We have now moved and sadly have to find a new sitter for Tito.”

“Mikelle took amazing care of our pup! When we picked her up, she was so happy and relaxed—it was clear she felt right at home. You can tell Mikelle is a true animal lover, and she went above and beyond to keep our girl comfortable and happy. Highly recommend! ❤️”

“We loved working with Tanya. We left Cosmo for a week while we traveled out of state. She sent us updates and pictures to let us know how Cosmo was doing. We will definitely use Tanya again.”

“Freyja once again had a great time and I was able to leave her knowing she would be loved and taken care of. When I dropped her off this time she was so excited to be there. Meghan and her family care the best”

“James was great! Took my pups all over during the 2 weeks he watched them. I'd definitely book with him again next time I need a sitter in the SLC area. Thanks James!”

“Adriana was so kind and professional, and I knew my pups were in the best hands :) She was also super accommodating for my last minute request, and made everything feel smooth and easy. I’m very lucky I found her on Rover and can’t wait to have her watch my two pups again! 🤍”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Magna
Elena and Donald were amazing. I was really worried leaving Reyna because she can be a nervous and slow to warm up to new dogs. They were patient and gave her all the time she needed. They provided me with photos and videos so I could see she was doing great. I would highly recommend and will happily use them again in the future to watch my girl.

Rowan had a good stay, and I appreciated the photo updates while I was away. Evelyn was also able to extend his stay by an extra day on short notice, which was a huge help and very much appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d be happy to book with her again.

Truly Bobbie is so flexible when travel plans don't go as planned, or anything else life throws at you. Cooper LOVES his stays, and he cannot wait to go back. He's absolutely exhausted (in the best way) once he comes home. I'm scared one day he will refuse to leave at pickup!! Hahahah so thankful for Bobbie and her daughter loving our pups as much as their own!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
