Once I bought my first house in 2003, I adopted my dog from the shelter. Shadow was a one year old Rottweiler and he was already potty trained and knew basic commands. He was perfect for a first dog! My home sits on 1/2 an acre and has a 6' vinyl fully fenced backyard, so lots of room for your dogs to run and play. I have blankets on the couches so everyone can be comfortable.
