About: Hi, I'm Laura! I daydreamed about having pets since childhood because my parents were allergic and I couldn't have any pets growing up. Once I bought my first house in 2003, I adopted my dog from the shelter. Shadow was a one year old Rottweiler and he was already potty trained and knew basic commands. He was perfect for a first dog! I also have volunteered for the Humane Society and helped raise litters of puppies and kittens over the years, I've also had experience bottle feeding kittens. My home sits on 1/2 an acre and has a 6' vinyl fully fenced backyard, so lots of room for your dogs to run and play. I have blankets on the couches so everyone can be comfortable. Dog hair, don't care :) I work from home so I'm available for potty breaks throughout the day, My house sits on 1/2 acre that has a 6' vinyl fence so there's plenty of room to play. My yard is fully fenced for safety but dogs can feel comfortable on the couch or dog bed, so whichever your dog may prefer and feel safest in, crate or bed or couch.

About: If you are reading this, you don’t need to go elsewhere. While you are away your baby will have their own poochcation. I’ve been a pooch fur baby lover since I was a kid however my dad never let me have any. When I turned 18 i moved out and rescued my now 17 yr old baby. They had thrown him in a dumpster! Anywho I have babysat my friend’s/family pooches ever since! I know how nerve wrecking it is to leave your baby with someone they may not know. About: I've had dogs in my life since I was about 8 years old. My mom bred our dogs and I would help her. I helped to birth the puppies, feed and wash them, weigh them and track their progress, train and care for them. Since I was 18 I've adopted six dogs. One of them was deaf and blind when I adopted her. I've never been the first home for any of my doggos but I've been the best/most loving final home for all of them. I work part time and have plenty of time to spend with animals. I usually take my dog out for a stretch/potty every couple of hours and we walk at least once a day. I'm constantly looking for new parks and fun places to play. I have a three year old Border Collie mix that gets along well with other dogs and cats. The yard is fenced but there's no doggy door. I have some crates of various sizes if needed. The fur babies are allowed on the bed and all of the furniture at my house. I frequently pet/house sit for a Pitbull mix and she's one of my dogs besties. She has medication and a special diet. I've also frequently had my dad's dogs visit. So my dog is used to both having separate food and sharing in a communal pack. Whenever we pet/house sit we follow their house rules (i.e. - no dogs on the furniture or in the kitchen, etc). I'm trusted with keys to multiple homes and never stop by unless asked to.

“This was my first time using the Rover service. I was very pleased with how everything went. Ivette was very accommodating. Admittedly, I was anxious. I have one easy dig and one not so easy. Ivette scheduled a meet and greet and she was fantastic. My dogs felt right at home and were very loved. I received regular updates and I could tell very easily that my dogs felt right at home. This was very comforting for me, as I was nervous to leave my lab for the first time. I will definitely use the app again, but I will most definitely have Yvette and her family watch my dogs again, and again.”
