“Mikelle and her kids are so sweet and you can tell they really love the doggies they care for. Mikelle was very responsive, took time to answer all my questions, and sent pictures any time I asked or checked in. I felt very comfortable leaving our puppy with Mikelle and would use her again for our dog care! Thank you, Mikelle!”

“James did a great job dog sitting Leo. James sent me plenty of cute pictures and updates throughout the stay. He took Leo with him on plenty of car rides, a few hikes, and Leo loved playing with the other dogs.”

“Brooke boarded our dogs for over a week and it was great. She kept us updated and knew how to handle a lot of dogs. They both came back tuckered out from the fun my dogs had!”

“Angela was amazing! My puppy Barley thoroughly enjoyed his stay. She was so knowledgeable about dogs and took care of my puppy so well. She was so friendly and kind to me and made sure both Barley and I felt comfortable with her watching him. She contacted me every day with new pictures and videos. I couldn’t recommend Angela more! 11/10 experience. Go book her!”

“Gracie had such a wonderful stay with Megan and her family! As soon as she arrived Gracie was happy and excited to see the family and stay playing. Megan was great at sending us pictures, videos and updates of Gracie during her visit. Seeing Gracie having so much much gave us peace of mind and we often joked about who was having more fun on vacation—us or Gracie! 😊 Throughout the visit we knew Gracie was safe, happy, and loved. We are looking forward to booking again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family.”

“Lisa was an awesome sitter for Bella! She provided several updates and pictures. I had complete peace of mind and felt Bella was in very good hands. I will definitely use her again!”

“Stefany was great! This was the first time I had left my dog overnight with someone and she always kept me updated. Majora had a great time and was returned to me happy. I couldn't ask for more.”

“Lindsey always takes great care of my sweet girl, and sends update pictures daily so I dont miss her as much. Highly recommend her! And her kids are great with my dog too.”

“My dog loves staying at Justine’s. Her tail is wagging each time I drop her off. She has a nice fenced in yard that dogs can enjoy in nice weather. Justine is good about sending pictures and videos updating me on how Honey is doing.”

“Sharon saved our bacon! Our Ruby ate some chocolate the day before our trip and had to stay over in the pet hospital the night before our trip. Sharon drove to the vet, waited to check her out and saved our trip. She also took fantastic care of her and made us feel at ease in a very stressful situation. I’d highly recommend Sharon to anyone needing a sitter.”

“So happy we found them. She seemed so at ease at happy with them which is great when your leaving part of your family. Definitely will be using Leah and James again.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t have been happier with Beth keeping my dog and my daughter’s dog. She sent plenty of videos and communication was outstanding. I would definitely trust her again with my dogs. I’m not.”

“Benjamin and Kristy were great to work with and their family took excellent care of Artemis. I can tell she was loved and had a good time. They were very responsive and sent lots of pictures!”

“I highly recommend Julian as a pet sitter. She took great care of my baby Kiki, making sure she was fed three meals a day on time. She also sent me videos during mealtime, which gave me peace of mind. Thank you, Julian, for taking such good care of Kiki!”

“Jessica did a wonderful job! Theo seemed very happy and tired when I picked him up. She has a beautiful home and Theo seemed very comfortable right away. Theo played with her other animals and did well for his first overnight being watched without Mom. She had Theo ready to be picked up and with a fresh bath! We appreciate her taking such good care of Theo for his two night stay! Thank you Jessica!”

“Karesa and Eric were absolutely amazing with my dog Poncho! He stayed with them for a full week, and it was clear from all the pictures and updates that he was having a great time and was very well taken care of. Karesa was incredibly responsive and constantly sent me photos of Poncho throughout the week, including some hilarious and adorable moments that made me feel reassured while I was away. Their kids also loved playing with Poncho, which I’m sure made his stay even more fun for him. They took excellent care of him, treated him like part of the family, and gave my wife and I complete peace of mind. I would 100% recommend Karesa and Eric, and I’ll definitely be contacting them again the next time Poncho needs someone to watch him!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Jordan
Our dogs came home happy and healthy. Mayra kept us updated with photos daily and was quick to respond when we started to miss our pups. She walked them regularly and from the pictures looks like our pups got a lot of attention this weekend. If we need rover again I hope mayra is available in the future. Thank you

I have to say that Jennifer genuinely loves what she does and you can totally see it. I think one of my favorite things was how much she was simply looking forward to cuddling with Cooper. And that's just what our guy loves, his cuddles. Jennifer took great care of Cooper and she understands all those little doggie quarks our fur babies can have and has absolutely no problem catering to them. She'll even happily pay attention to whether your pup poos are just not okay and makes sure to address it immediately. She's fantastic at sending updates and we never felt once that we weren't being kept in the loop on how Coop's first stay with her was going. She's also really responsive and great in her communications. I so appreciated how she's got her dog Jasper so comfortable and secure with her, that he's completely fine with her giving all that extra love and attention she has to your pup. Jennifer truly has plenty of love to share with your pup and her own. And Jasper really is a good boy and excited to make new friends. I knew how great things were going when our Cooper was snuggled up on the couch with not only Jennifer, but Jasper as well and Jasper was using Coopers bum as a pillow. It was adorable and sweet. We would definitely have her watch Coopy again!

Andrea was communicative throughout our dogs’ stay and kept us updated. There was an incident where one of our dogs damaged the blinds while trying to get through an open window, which was concerning and unusual behavior for her. Andrea let us know what happened and said her husband was able to fix the blinds. Our dogs were safe when we picked them up, and we appreciated the communication during their stay.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
