“So wonderful! Our girl was so happy with Kayla she didn’t even cry the first night away which she usually does!) Her two cats were sweet and seemed just fine with having a big dog hanging around them and she seemed to enjoy their company.”

“Gracie had such a wonderful stay with Megan and her family! As soon as she arrived Gracie was happy and excited to see the family and stay playing. Megan was great at sending us pictures, videos and updates of Gracie during her visit. Seeing Gracie having so much much gave us peace of mind and we often joked about who was having more fun on vacation—us or Gracie! 😊 Throughout the visit we knew Gracie was safe, happy, and loved. We are looking forward to booking again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family.”

“Amazing sitter! First…. I booked her last minute but she accepted. 2nd she communicates very frequently and sends pictures. 3rd she goes above and beyond for mango (my dog)!!! She watched mango on thanksgiving and gave him festive food too! She checked in with me first though before giving him anything. 100% would recommend! Will be booking her again when visiting Utah again.”

“Sachi was great with communication and the first sitter to actually take my dogs on a little walk each day. My pups seemed happy and well taken care of. We would book with her again”
“This is my second time with Grace. Wonderfully warm family! My dog was excited the moment we pulled up. It’s so nice to not be worrying about our pup while we are away.”

“In town for a wedding and Jennifer came to our rescue - opened up her lovely home and quite large yard for our precious dog Bart to spend four days of playful bliss and get lots of attention and affectionate from Jennifer. If we lived in this area, Bart would definitely be one of her most frequent guests!”

“They were so great with my dog! It was a fun home away from home for him, and they kept me updated on an appropriate basis. Bonus for being a le to pick him up and drop him off.”

“Amber and her kids were so great! Our dog Max loved being there. He loved playing with the little kids and hanging out in the backyard with Amber‘s family dog. Amber went out of her way to take care of Max and make sure he was fed, had fresh water, gave him his prescription medicine. She sent us photos and text messages and with updates. When it came time to go home; our dog Max just wanted to stay there by the front door and layed on his mat. We will definitely use her again !!!”

“Brittany was such a kind and patient sitter! My little Twig is very shy and timid and he warmed up to her and her family and seemed calm and happy when I got him. I really appreciated how much attention she and her girls gave him. And the reliable pics put me at ease. I would certainly recommend her services!”

“Seini was the best!! This is my second time booking with her and both times have been a great experience for my pup and myself. My dog is very old and has a lot of necessities, but Seini made her feel so comfortable and so well taken care of! Would 100% recommend! Thank you!!!”

“We had a last-minute emergency trip out of town and Mandi stepped in without hesitation. She was quick to confirm our booking, incredibly communicative, and made the whole process seamless during a stressful time. Throughout Ranger’s stay, she sent regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear he was well cared for and comfortable. One of the highlights for Ranger was getting to play with her dog, Hank—such a treat for him since he’s usually an only pup! We would absolutely book with Mandi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and kind sitter.”

“Luis and his wife are great. We didn’t have very solid plans and the plans we had were constantly changing because of a family emergency with my father in California. They were easy to work with and did a great job earning my dogs trust. My dog Billy is nervous and can bark at strangers which can scare some people but they did awesome. And they gave me great updates and pictures everyday. I was very stressed about leaving my dog because he’s never been left before but I’m so relieved Billy went to Luis.”

“This is a great family with happy dogs and an extremely clean house and yard. Rachel and Colby were very accommodating and good communicators. My doodle is a little needy and I received pictures of her receiving attention and lots of human contact. She was able to play with dogs, cats and kids and came home tired and happy.”

“We are so happy we found Beth and David to watch our senior german shepherd Hex. It's always nerve wracking leaving your furbaby with someone new (and it was actually the first time we've boarded our pup), but after our meet and greet we knew Hex would be well taken care. She's at the age where she requires a bit of special care and Beth and David were super accommodating, flexible and kind- Beth even slept downstairs with Hex the first night when she could tell she was feeling anxious. I got regular updates during our trip and I could tell when we picked her up that she had been thoroughly spoiled, in the best way. I will 100% use Beth and David again!”

“I was very nervous about leaving our Senior dog who needs extra care. Jim and Mary Jane exceeded my expectations. They made Cody feel very comfortable and were great with communicating with us throughout the trip. Very appreciative of their love and care to Cody and responsiveness to us.”

“This is our second time staying with Candace and we had a great experience both times! Great communicator, administered our dog’s probiotic every day, and he came back exhausted so we know he had a great time! Highly recommend.”

“I am definitely looking at rebooking Justin and Rachanee B. for the next time I need a dog sitter. I had a great experience with them and their kids and it looks like my dog did, too. They sent pictures, comments, and even a few videos during the week we were gone. My four year-old dog, usually on edge in new situations, always appeared relaxed and happy. Our dog has a medical condition which requires a sock and some manipulation of a sore back paw as well as oral pain medication . Justin and Rachanee were able to do everything required and our dog’s paw looked great when we got her back.”

“Alisha was so thorough and intentional with my pup. She asked lots of questions and wrote down everything we talked about. She kept me updated throughout my dog's stay with lots of photos and messages. I could tell that they did everything they could to help my little guy feel safe and comfortable during his stay!”

“Benjamin and Kristy and were caring, thoughtful, and communicative. In a potentially tough situation they were exactly the kind of family we want our big, sometimes tricky dog Kona to be with. Will absolutely book with them again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Riverton
Whitney and her family were great hosts for our 2-year-old boxer, Padre! She took him on walks and sent us lots of pictures and updates throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. Padre had a great time playing with her dogs and seemed right at home. We’ll definitely use Whitney again in the future!
We really appreciate Winifred and giving her best to watch our dog. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out well for our dog or for her and we realize that some situations just don’t work out. I think Winifred is great and I think she will give her best in caring for your dog.

Owen was great at taking care of our girl! This was our first time using rover, but he made the process and experience seamless. He kept us updated with pictures and updates and was even more than understanding and accommodating when we had to arrive a few hours later then scheduled due to traveling issues. We will definitely be using him in the future if he’s available and appreciate his attentive care he gave our baby girl.

Stefany was so kind to my frightened puppy! He was allowed to roam as he needed (he hates being confined) and had doggy friends and plenty of exercise. I loved getting daily update photos and I could see he really warmed up to her, givibg her his best snuggles! When I came to pick him up he even looked like he might have preferred to stay a bit longer, which is huge for him! Thank you so much.

Justine took great care of Fiji. She kept me updated, made sure my pet was happy and comfortable, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a healthy, happy, and well-cared-for dog. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet caregiver.
Mandy did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Freddy. She was responsive throughout the entire process, easy to coordinate with, flexible with timing and scheduling, and made sure to keep us updated with pictures everyday. This allowed our trip out of state to go smoothly without worrying about our dog being well cared for. Would definitely use her again!

Bethany was very welcoming and great with our pup. She was kind enough to send a few pictures and updates each day to give us peace of mind. We really appreciate that she only takes one family at a time and there are no other dogs in the house. She has a great for playtime and a deck for him to chill on. Thanks so much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
