“Beth was the sweetest person ever! I was so nervous about leaving my three dogs with someone but she made it so easy! She communicated well with me everyday, multiple times keeping me updated about them throughout my trip making me feel less guilty about leaving them behind 😅! The first day was rough but they were both so understanding and I really appreciate them.”

“Anna was incredible with our little anxious dog! He’s not the easiest to look after at times and we hate leaving him but I felt so happy that he was being cared for so well. You can tell Anna knows dogs well and really cares about their wellbeing. We are so happy to have found her!!”

“We loved working with Tanya. We left Cosmo for a week while we traveled out of state. She sent us updates and pictures to let us know how Cosmo was doing. We will definitely use Tanya again.”

“Jennifer was so great to work with!! My trip details kept changing and she was so kind, accommodating and flexible through the entire process. She sent me the sweetest updates and I could tell my dog was in the best hands. I will absolutely use Jennifer again in the future.”

“My Ollie can be a bit shy and fearful with other dogs, but Amber did everything to make him as comfortable as possible! Amber had great communication with me and great care for Ollie, and I would absolutely rebook the next time I leave town!”

“We were so happy with Cami and her family. Our dog did so well with them. Thanks guys so much! We will be using you again for sure! I loved how responsive they were to texts and sent lots of pictures. I totally recommend this family.”

“I am definitely looking at rebooking Justin and Rachanee B. for the next time I need a dog sitter. I had a great experience with them and their kids and it looks like my dog did, too. They sent pictures, comments, and even a few videos during the week we were gone. My four year-old dog, usually on edge in new situations, always appeared relaxed and happy. Our dog has a medical condition which requires a sock and some manipulation of a sore back paw as well as oral pain medication . Justin and Rachanee were able to do everything required and our dog’s paw looked great when we got her back.”

“Ashley was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Pumpkin! She gave him so much love and attention, and even let him roam freely around the house, which he loved. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such a caring and cat loving home. Highly recommend her to anyone needing a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!”

“Torrie was great! Tahoe felt right at home with a doggie door and a large yard to run around in. He made friends with her dogs and had a great time. She sent updates and pictures. We will definitely book her again when we need a sitter while visiting family in the Salt Lske area.”

“They were so great with my dog! It was a fun home away from home for him, and they kept me updated on an appropriate basis. Bonus for being a le to pick him up and drop him off.”

“Nancy is the best! She and her kids took such wonderful care of my senior dog. She sent lots of photos and I could tell that Lucy had a wonderful time staying with her. She was very quick with communication too! My dog had such a good time she hardly wanted to leave lol. Will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you!”

“Our German Shepherd loved his stay. He came back looking and smelling great! We could tell he was tired from all the fun he was having. Our dog will be staying with them again.”

“We had a great experience leaving Bowski with Jennifer and her family for the week. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly cared about making sure he was comfortable and happy while I was away. They kept me updated with photos and messages, took the dogs on walks, hikes and treated him like part of the family. Their two labs were friendly and well behaved, and my dog came home completely happy, relaxed, and worn out from having such a good time. You can tell they genuinely love dogs and take pet care seriously. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing he was in a safe, caring home instead of just being kenneled somewhere. I’m very grateful for how well they treated him and would absolutely trust them again in the future. Highly recommend.”

“So grateful for Nicole and James! We had to leave our pup for a long trip and I felt so comfortable leaving him with them. They were extremely communicative and proactive and took such good care of him. Our dog came home happy and tired but not at all anxious. Will definitely book again!”

“Benjamin and Kristy were great to work with and their family took excellent care of Artemis. I can tell she was loved and had a good time. They were very responsive and sent lots of pictures!”

“Leilani was absolutely the best to work with and watching our dog Gus. We threw a lot at her asking her to extend the days we needed her to puppy sit. On top of that our dog ended up having back surgery and she handled incredibly well. I would recommend Leilani for anyone that has a special needs dog. She is worth every penny and a whole lot more as a dog sitter. We wouldn’t want anyone else. Love her!!!”

“Amanda was amazing with our dog. It was her second stay there and due to bad timing our dog needed to be taken into the vet. She let me know when she was having problems, got her in, communicated with me great, and cleaned up my pup’s mess from being sick. And at the end she assured me my pup is welcome back anytime. Definitely 5 stars!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Riverton
This was our first time ever using Rover, and I was honestly a little nervous because Oakley can be a bit of an anxious velcro dog, especially when we’re away. Beth & David completely exceeded every expectation we had. From day one, they made Oakley feel right at home. It was obvious from the daily updates and pictures that he was relaxed, happy, and genuinely enjoying himself. They kept us informed the entire time with thoughtful, hilarious messages and photos that gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. Instead of worrying about him, we were able to relax knowing he was in such good hands. They took the time to get to know his personality, understood his little quirks, and treated him like one of their own. By the end of his stay, he was happily meeting neighbors, going on walks, lounging in the grass, and settling into their home like he’d been there forever. His anxiety was practically nonexistent, which speaks volumes about the environment they created for him. I can’t say enough good things about Beth & David. They are kind, attentive, communicative, and clearly have a genuine love for animals. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them, and it’s such a relief knowing Oakley has a safe, loving place to stay whenever we’re out of town. We will absolutely be booking with them again. Highly, highly recommend!

Brett, Renae, Keith and Allison were wonderful with our 13 yr old Cooper with all of his many issues, and treated him as if he were family. It was his first time with them and he was totally himself, unstressed and relaxed when he came home. We have already booked rebooked a second reservation. They are genuinely kind, patient people. We feel so fortunate we found them! They’re great!

We had such a wonderful experience with MaKenna! She took amazing care of our two dogs, checked in with us daily, and sent us pictures and videos so we always knew they were happy and doing well. She is incredibly kind, sweet, and clearly loves animals. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter!

Highly recommend Bethany to anyone looking for a responsible and caring babysitter for their dog(s). I tend to be picky with who watches our dog since he can be a little high maintenance. She was great to work with, very attentive to our dog, sent us regular updates and made sure he got all the snuggles. Hard to find someone trustworthy, she is definitely that. Will be booking with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
