I currently have my own little homestead, but rest assured, I can separate animals for their safety if needed. I have worked with both aggressive and docile animals. I have a fully fenced yard, a separate dog run, and a lovely walking circle that doesn't run along any main roadways. Between me, my partner (who's in law enforcement), and my son, we have an incredibly safe, clean home. Whether your pet needs space for decompression or snuggles at night, I would be honored to give them the chance to be loved on while you're away. Similarly, if I am coming to your home, I will stick to your schedules and routine; your spaces will be just as protected and cared for as if they were my own. About: A couple who have two of the best fur-babies on the planet and would love to help you out with yours! My dog growing up lived to be 16 years old so I do have experience caring for a senior dog, administering meds, and being extra mindful of their physical limits. One of our fur babies is really prone to ear infections, so we are also familiar with giving ear drops, cleaning, and giving antibiotics for that. We have had both of our fur baby since they were puppies, so we know how that can be too and how much love, patience, and attention they require to be properly stimulated. We did have cats as well growing up, I don’t have any of my own, but I do also enjoy how relaxing cats can be with their more mellow personalities as they get older, but still super playful with the right toys. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Chris works from home. We both love animals, and would love to get to know your family. Both of us work full time doing 10 hour shifts, but we work different hours and different days commonly, so between the two of us, we can always coordinate a visit in the morning and the evening, the only drop in that might be more difficult to arrange is something in the middle of the day. Chris works from home and I work 10 hour shifts 3 times a week. We are both excellent at following instructions and will follow whatever care needs your fur babe requires. We just want to understand what will make everyone feel safe and comfortable.

From dog grooming I have also learned the best ways for special handling for puppies and senior pets! I have two cats of my own currently and I absolutely love working with dogs, it is my passion! About: Hello! I’m Helen, my fur baby Leia and I will be your pet's concierge and partners in crime. I specialize in in-home boarding and daily drop-in visits, with a huge passion for leash and reactivity training and working with pups that are picky eaters! For pups that need more than a place to stay or a basic feed and potty check-in visit, I provide peaceful, fun, private care. My home is a clean sanctuary, full of natural light, music vibing in the background, fresh air coming through the open windows, and the door to my fenced deck always open, providing plenty of sunny spots to lounge. There is an abundance of daily walks, couch naps, training enrichment, hikes, and dog-friendly field trips. I host one guest family at a time to provide close attention. I have 30 years of raising and loving dogs, cats, and the occasional sugar glider. I am a newly empty nester, so my fur baby (Leia) has become my adventure buddy and absolute joy. I work from home full-time. I am the "Stay-At-Home" dog mom. Your dog is never left alone for long stretches of time. I usually take the dogs with me when I go places. I have a very short list of people I trust with my fur babies. I want to know they are not being treated as a chore but truly enjoyed. When your pup is in my care, I keep a watchful eye on their moods, body language, eating and bathroom patterns, etc. If something ever feels off, I’ll reach out and communicate with you right away. I take extra note of how they are settling in for the first few days and will work with you to get them adjusted. I like to keep all the animals in eyesight, to ensure everyone is accounted for and comfortable. Leia follows me everywhere, so where she goes the other dogs follow suit. I change out water fountains daily (using filtered water from the fridge), and have multiple running water fountain stations throughout the house. I sweep and vacuum every two days so pups don’t have access to anything unsafe on the floor. My city requires dogs to be on leash in public areas, and I personally feel safest keeping your dog leashed during our potty breaks and walks. I do have a fenced yard, but there is no locking gate, so dogs are only allowed out there with I am present. I have a fun dog splash pad the pups enjoy in the summer that we play with a lot. I generally avoid dog parks due to my concerns around illness and unpredictable behavior from unfamiliar dogs. I regularly meet up with well-socialized dog pup friends for backyard playdates. There is a park directly across the street, and a huge school field less than a block away that is great for play.

About: I provide calm, home-based dog boarding and daycare designed to feel less like traditional boarding and more like staying with someone your dog already knows and loves. I’m generally home throughout the day, so my guests get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, outdoor breaks, naps, and cuddles. I intentionally keep things small and personal, caring for one dog or household at a time. My goal is simple: every dog in my home should feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Dogs have been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years. I spent about 15 years fostering and helping rehabilitate abused and neglected dogs, volunteered as a dog specialist in high-stress shelter environments, and completed animal behavior and handling training through Best Friends Animal Society and Salt Lake County Animal Services. That experience taught me that dogs aren’t one-size-fits-all. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and figuring out what makes them feel happiest and most at home. Most importantly, I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. I want you to leave knowing they’re safe, loved, understood, and probably being spoiled a little more than they’ll admit when you get home. I am generally home throughout the day, and I keep our daily routine flexible based on the needs of the pups staying with me. Energetic and ready to go? There will be plenty of walks, outdoor time, play, and opportunities to burn off that energy. More of a couch potato? Laid-back days, cozy naps, and couch snuggles are some of my favorite pastimes! Because I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care exclusive, I'm able to get to know each pup's personality and make sure they get the right balance of activity, attention, play, and downtime. Not every dog wants to do the same thing, and that's perfectly okay. Pups are rarely left alone while staying with me. If I do need to step out, it's typically for a short period of time, usually no more than an hour or two. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. There are no pets or children in the home, which helps create a quieter, lower-stress environment for dogs who prefer a little more peace and consistency. My family are all dog people, so pups are always surrounded by people who genuinely love and enjoy them. We have a fenced patio/run where dogs can safely enjoy outdoor time, stretch their legs, and take easy potty breaks throughout the day. I also have a secure lead setup in the front yard where dogs who enjoy the outdoors can safely relax, sunbathe on the outdoor bed, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air while supervised. We’re also surrounded by some of Daybreak’s best dog-friendly parks, walking trails, and green space, including areas near the lake, which means lots of safe, leashed walks, fresh air, sniffing, and enrichment. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I require a meet & greet for all new clients to make sure we are a great fit before booking.
