“Ella's has been amazing with our dogs. Her patients with our border collie and our gentle giant English Mastiff has been so appreciated. We can't see ourselves choosing anyone else. 15/10”

“Jacky is great!! She is always punctual and takes good care of Fenway on their walks. I love getting pictures and detailed information on their time together and she sends it every time!”

“Caroline was great! Daytona absolutely loved her (literally from the moment they met) and of course going on walks with her. She shared the cutest pictures of my happy girl with a big smile and tongue hanging out of her mouth. I will definitely be a repeat client and recommend her to anyone and everyone!! Thanks Caroline!!”

“Talk about peace of mind! Sophie's first week with our dog was awesome. She's a natural problem solver when it comes to animal's needs. Every day, she sends a well thought-out summary of their play time and comments on observations any pet owner would want to know about. She's punctual, responsive, reliable, and super friendly. We're lucky to have her!”

“Michelle was simply excellent, the best I’ve used on Rover. She was reliable, punctual, and sent multiple pictures plus a map of where she walked and what he did on the walk. I used her to take my dog for his midday walk while I was skiing. When I felt my phone vibrate at our agreed upon time each day I knew he was being taken care of!”

“Suzanna has been my dog walker for 5 weeks now. I have a lot of respect for this young lady, and my dachshund just loves her! I interviewed several, and glad I picked Suzanna!”

“I am very picky with who I let around my dog, Dexter, but as I soon as I began conversing with Ashlie, I was put at ease. I felt instantly that I could trust her, and my instincts were right! Ashlie exudes positive energy, she is prompt in communicating with me while walking Dexter, and she sends me photos of their adventures together. I came home to a very happy, and well taken care of, fur baby. I will definitely be using Ashlie’s services in the future!”

I love spending time with your pet in your home where they are most comfortable. I love getting to know each and every animal's personality and habits. Snuggles are my favorite, but I also respect pets who need their space. I can also do things like get the mail, water plants, feed fish etc. Just let me know what you need and we should be able to work out something!
“Cari is absolutely amazing, and my dog, Faraday, already adores her: head tilt, tongue out, excited jumping all show up when he hears Cari's name. She's responsible, flexible, and excellent at communicating and sending pictures. I cannot praise her enough. She deserves all the props! Love her!”

About: I have 10+ years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds. I took a few college courses that were 2 years long to learn about animal care. I also worked at a reptile education center where I took care of the animals and educated people about them. I love animals of all kinds and would love to watch your pet! CURRENTLY NOT TAKING RECURRING/WEEKLY CLIENTS! I have lots of time in the day to watch and play with your pet. I do have a cat at home so I do have to go check on him every 3-4 hours! I will follow your schedule to a T to make sure your pet doesn’t skip out on their daily routine. I have experience taking care of even shy animals so I have lots of patience and am willing to let them take their time to adjust to me. I am ok going on walks in neighborhoods and parks as well as playing with your pet in such areas.

“Mckynzee was super easy to work with and very reliable about coming on time. She was super sweet with my puppy and even went above and beyond to play fetch with him because she read that he loved it in his profile. Thanks Mckynzee!”

“Diane had excellent communication throughout the booking and made sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of my pups. My dogs were very well taken care of and I was completely at ease having Diane over their care! Highly recommended and will be booking again when the needs arise! Thank you!!!”

Lianna was amazing!! She was super patient and accommodating when our schedule changed. She also was very patient with appa and his quirks. He’s a hesitant and shy dog. She was able to win his trust, with the help of treats lol She was great at communicating and sent cute photos and updates ☺️I would totally recommend using her! We will definitely love to work with her in the future!

Afia was wonderful with Ginger today. She was incredibly thorough, patient, and took the time to work with her at Ginger’s pace, which I really appreciated. Ginger can be a high-energy dog, and it’s clear Afia understands how to handle that in a calm, positive way. I left feeling confident that Ginger was in great hands, and I’m so happy we’ve found her. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
