About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and genuinely understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’ve also bottle-fed a litter of puppies, which required constant attention, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility—something I bring to every pet I care for. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including shy or high-energy pets. I take the time to follow your pet’s routine closely so they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away. I prioritize clear communication and reliability, and I’m always happy to provide updates so you know your pet is in good hands. My goal is to make the experience as easy and worry-free as possible for both you and your pet. I aim to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. I typically provide care throughout the day, including feeding, walks, playtime, and regular potty breaks every 4–8 hours (or more frequently if needed and discussed in advance). I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that means extra exercise, quiet companionship, or sticking closely to a specific schedule. I also provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Because I travel locally, I prioritize nearby bookings to ensure I’m always on time and able to give your pet the attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications (if needed), and any specific care requirements. I take the time to understand each pet’s behavior and boundaries to ensure they feel secure and stress-free. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean and in order while you’re away. I’m mindful of doors, gates, and surroundings to prevent any escapes or unsafe situations. I also prioritize clear communication and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Hello, my name is Angela, I've been working with, and training animals for almost 30 years. I have experience caring for almost any animal you can think of, ranging from farm animals and exotics, to your average household pet. I have two dogs and two cats myself, along with a menagerie of exotics I've rescued over the years. I also have horses and goats at a different location. I have been pet sitting my friends fur babies for years, and my dogs love the company! If you are planning on me watching your pet at my house, they must be pet friendly towards my dogs and cats. I will gladly take your pup to a dog park, on hikes, or to play with a chuckit in my large backyard. I have many references from friends who have used me as their pet sitter over the years. I have volenteered to help train all breeds of dogs at shelters throughout Utah, and I absolutely love it! Please email me if you have any further questions. I am currently working part time and have extra availability to add some more dog or cat sitting/training. I look forward to meeting your furry family! I have a large fenced yard, and live very close to many beautiful hikes that I can take the pups on. I have two friendly dogs they can play with as well that love other dogs!

About: Sitter on Rover since August of 2022. Star sitter since April of 2024, when star sitters became a thing. Though my true experience lies in caring for friends' and neighbors' pets since I was 10 years old. Over the years, I've looked after dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, reptiles, and more. I have a special soft spot for senior pets, but l love the energy and joy that puppies and kittens bring too. Every animal I meet is treated like my own - with patience, attention, and plenty of love. Rover is my main job, and I plan my other work around it whenever possible, so my schedule is very flexible. I always make sure there's plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. Whether your pet loves outdoor adventures or prefers to follow a calm daily routine, I'll adjust to what makes them happiest. I live in a house with a fenced yard, shared with three friendly dogs who enjoy both playtime and relaxing around the house. I'm comfortable administering ear drops, eye drops, and oral medications. I can also carry dogs up to about 90 pounds if needed - perfect for pets who need a little help getting around. Your pet's comfort and safety always come first.

About: I have 10+ years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds. I took a few college courses that were 2 years long to learn about animal care. I also worked at a reptile education center where I took care of the animals and educated people about them. I love animals of all kinds and would love to watch your pet! Right now I work part-time, so I have lots of time in the day to watch and play with your pet. I do have a cat at home so I do have to go check on him every 3-4 hours! I will follow your schedule to a T to make sure your pet doesn’t skip out on their daily routine. I have experience taking care of even shy animals so I have lots of patience and am willing to let them take their time to adjust to me. I’ve grown up around animals all my life, and continue to be a trusted and loyal sitter for my family and friends furry family members. I love taking dogs on walks, or simply hanging out on the couch catching giving lots of pets and love. I’m extremely patient and have dealt with all types of personalities with pets. I hope you chose me to take care of your pets! I work from home on Mondays and Fridays so I’m able to bring my work with me anywhere! I love going on walks throughout my day, and it’s made even better if I have a dog accompanying me. On weekends, I’ll prioritize the pets always. If they’re an energetic dog, I’ll make sure they get their energy out. If they’re more on the mellow side, I’ll make sure to spend time with them giving lots of pets and lounge next to them. If I need to leave the house for errands or workout, I try to not spend more than 2 hours aways at most. Your pet is my priority! I like to make sure I have all the info to ensure the most successful visit. If there’s any limitations on movements, or priorities of energy, I want to focus on the best time spent and that your pet is happy and safe. If I walk them, I avoid busy areas and keep them calm and safe. If we are inside, I make sure they have my attention and are getting all the love. Clear communication and expectations of what you would like will set us both up for success and happiness.

About: I have had pets my entire life, both large and small breeds...dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, hamsters, lizards, and fish. I offer pet care services in Salt Lake valley and Southern Utah. I can travel for extended stay bookings. MORE About me: I grew up in Utah with a beautiful Irish Setter named Sunny. He was my BFF from childhood to teens. As an adult, I have had many pets! I adored my buddy, Cruzer, the cutest Shih Tzu ever, he was such a good friend for 12 years. I also had the coolest cat, a Maine Coone named Rio, he was with me for 17 years! Everyone loved Rio! 💗After that I adopted an older pug named Lou, and a lost trail kitty named GrizzaBella, short for GrizzaB. RIP. I miss each of them dearly❣️ I recently divorced so now it’s just me and my BFF Nala, Pomchi. She is the most lovable, cuddly pet ever. I have 15+ years professional experience pet sitting, house sitting & housekeeping. I also worked for a B&B for several years and was responsible for managing bookings, cleaning all rooms and pet care for her 3 dogs, multiple birds and Koi pond. I would love to schedule a MEET& GREET so we can see if I am the ‘perfect friend’ to care for your pet while you are away on vacation or business. I can guarantee you peace of mind, as you will know that your furry family member is being loved and and cared for in your absence. I have a very flexible schedule... reach out for more info. I have daytime availability as I am a semi-retired and also a happy homemaker with lots of free time to love and care for your furry friend(s) as well as my own. I have a fenced yard for playing ball ⚽️ with my dog, Nala. She would play fetch all day if she could! After playing it’s treat time, then cuddles.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
